Don't use Jim's if you need your vehicle back quickly, or if you have multiple things you need…read moredone. Turn times are long and subject to extension without notice. Things get missed and/or botched due to taking in more cars at a time than they can actually handle. Jim's overbooks themselves to the point that they can't even fit all the vehicles in their lot, which leaves the unlucky ones parked on the surrounding street. Requests get forgotten and left undone. Communication is sparse and inconsistent. Pricing is high. There were 2 final straws here in September 2026 which prompted me to write this review. First, Jim's drained the battery on our SUV during a job, called us to come pick the vehicle up, and discovered that it wouldn't start after we arrived. Second, Jim's caused some pretty severe damage to our sedan with the tie rods, control arms, and power steering rack by working on those things in the wrong order with tools that were not appropriate for the job. Very confused as to how any 5 star reviews exist for this place....other customers must be getting a higher level of competence than I ever did in almost a decade of giving them our business. The fact that they are polite while they screw up your vehicle does not impress me. Never again!

I took my Chevy Traverse to him to replace the alternator and serpentine belt, which is a nightmare if you do not have a lift and all of the tools. His price was $700 cheaper than what the local Chevy dealership quoted me. My appointment was for 8:00 a.m. and I arrived at about 7:30 a.m.. He was ready to go, and drove my car into the service bay and immediately started working on it . He completed the job within the time specified and backs his labor and parts with an outstanding warranty. His shop is clean and organized. If honesty, integrity and professionalism are what you're looking for, then I highly recommend you give Dan a try.

Quickly diagnosed problem with my 2008 Jeep Wrangler. Needed parts that they normally do not carry. Gave me the choice of ordering the parts from my own supplier if I wanted to. They also performed normal service on my John Deere tractor as well as replaced leaking hydraulic lines. The used filters and lubricants that I supplied. I also supplied the replacement hydraulic line. All work was performed efficiently and in a timely manner. They kept me informed of progress and answered my questions as they worked. There was no mess, no having to take the vehicles to the shop and going back to pick them up. All lubricants were OEM, as well as parts and filters. Overall very pleased with the process. We were given a reasonable quote to do all four brake and rotor sets but when the rears were inspected, they showed me and said there was no need to do the rears as they were in good shape. They knocked out the front quickly and got me back in the road to the valley. Friendly, honest, reliable. That's hard to find in an auto shop these days. I'd recommend this shop to anyone.

I called them this morning due to a very loud screeching noise that was coming from my front brakes. I was told to stop by this afternoon, which I did. Of course when I got there, the noise had stopped. Isn't that the way it always happens?! When I arrived, Jonathan greeted me outside, he listened to what the issue was and promptly pulled my vehicle in and put it on the lift. It was discovered that I picked up a rock that got caught in the rotor, resulting in the awful noise. No damage was done, fortunately. I can not tell you how much I appreciated the honesty. He charged me a more than fair rate for the diagnosis....nothing. I certainly wasn't expecting that. This is beyond amazing customer service. Since I was there, I decided to ask about getting a quote on a service another establishment told me that I needed to get done asap, which was quite costly and I wanted to get other quotes before committing. Well, he looked at the issue, did a test and it was determined that what I was told was not even needed (replacement of rear leaking struts). There was nothing leaking and it passed the "bounce test" with flying colors. Jonathan told me he wouldn't even quote it because it wasn't necessary work. His shop was immaculate. Tools were organized, floor cleaned, no oil spills all the vehicles currently in his shop were strategically placed. The vibe in his shop was that of a true professional. He explained to us in detail the issues with our truck estimates were right on point. He kept in contact with us the entire time our truck was in his shop. When the necessary repairs were completed it was like driving a brand new truck. We so appreciate Glen and the care and professionalism he provided. Glenn is a lifesaver…read more Another shop in Chino Valley completely destroyed the engine in our 2013 Diesel F350 in Oct 2022. Then the mechanic charged us $16,000 for a new engine, after us already spending about $8,000 for work done improperly which ultimately caused the engine to freeze. He never delivered the engine. Led us on for months that the engine was back ordered and then he was working on it. He then closed up his shop and disappeared. Our truck had been moved to a different shop, had parts removed and was left in the snow with the hood up for two months. He was later arrested for fraud to the tune of over $200,000. We had moved to TX during this time. Finally, in March 2023, we found out where the truck was. I called around to various shops in town and Glen was the only one who would help. He went out to look at the truck to see if he could work on it, then we had it hauled to his shop. Glen put in a new engine, turbo etc, and completely replaced everything that had been removed or destroyed, which was almost everything. He saved our truck and our sanity. He kept us in the loop, sending pictures and taking to us regularly thru the process. He and his wife even loaned us their truck while we were in town and they cared for us like family. We only trust Glenn and his shop with our truck. We even drove the truck from TX to AZ just to have Glenn do an fuel system upgrade for better fuel mileage. Glenn keeps his shop cleaner than I've ever seen a shop. He's meticulous in how he works on a vehicle. You can't go wrong with State 48 Diesel.
