The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. As a bonus, they also have a cute gift shop that's worth browsing while you're there. Had the chicken salad on a croissant with a cucumber salad. The owner/chef was hospitable and served us our food with the warmest smile. Even the gluten-free options are absolutely amazing, which can be hard to find done this well. Makayla and Mindy do a fantastic job running the shop, and you can tell how much passion they put into everything they create. We follow Mimi's on Facebook, and while they post some great content, it's the photos of the desserts that always stop me in my tracks. I've actually saved pictures of treats on my phone so I can show them what I want to try on my next visit! The only problem is that once I get there and start looking through the display case, I always find several other things I want to try. What starts as a quick stop for one dessert usually turns into leaving with three or four "late-night snacks" to take home. If you have a sweet tooth, do yourself a favor and visit Mimi's Bakehouse. The onion rings were beautifully fried with real onion rings inside a crispy brown coating; she usually shares the onion rings with me but she must have been so hungry and they were so tasty, that she ate them all by herself!
