Nice atmosphere with comfortable tables and chairs, interesting decor. Very friendly and efficient service from son of owner, he also gave good recommendations. Pancakes were delicious, almost closer to a dessert. Breakfast burrito was delicious and the perfect amount of spice. Have lived near this resteraunt for years and for some reason had not given it a try. What I mistake I had made. For a lover of club sandwiches I have really missing out. Fresh ingredients, professional presentation all around great meal and not overly priced. I only wish their hours were a bit longer, 7:30 to 2:00 is a bit restricted. A very disappointing experience when we stopped in for breakfast on 1/31/15 to celebrate my birthday. Server asked us if we were in a hurry because the cook was running a little late, so we ordered our beverages and thought, so what's a few minutes. She then took our breakfast order and 35 minutes later we're still sitting there. We will never trust you again. No explanation or apology as to why the cook wasn't showing up, since the weather was clear and sunny. We asked for the beverage bill ($8!!) and left to find a place interested in being ready for customers, the Wind Gap Diner. Thanks for putting a damper on the start of my birthday weekend, Bean Bath. Sorry, but I won't be back. While the food is incredible, the service has gotten worse over time. No check back on my food, which would have led to the discovery that I didn't receive the toast I ordered. No refill on coffee/water. The fastest part was check and payment, while the waitress waited to avoid a second trip. Sorry, bad service is easy to come by for less money. read more

We had a late breakfast at Beanbath today . We used to visit quite often but haven't been there in a while. It seems to me that things have changed, not for the better. We had two California Scrambles, which used to be our favorite. The serving looked like almost half the size it used to be. The avocado looked old and dry, and the food was just warm. I would have liked a refill on my coffee, but the waitress (Emily) never came back to check on us, even though the place was not busy. All in all a disappointing experience, definitely not the 5 star experience we remembered from past visits. read more

We opted for Bean Bath for our company meeting a few weeks ago. The food and service was second to none. Even though they did not have delivery as a service option, the Owner Chris was gracious enough to deliver to our location- and the day after a snow storm as well. The staff were great, friendly and easy to coordinate with our 12 item lunch order. When the food arrived on time, it was hot and delicious. Everyone seemed to order something different and each person had positive things to say about their meal. Portion sizes were nice and the quality was amazing.I look forward to visiting the cafe the next time I am in the area. read more

Bean Bath Cafe is a gem in the Lehigh Valley. The food is graciously prepared to your specifications and served with a smile on the waitstaff's face. Although we have moved from Bushkill Township we make an effort to enjoy their cuisine whenever we are in the area. When you are away for a specified period of time it is like going home. read more

I want to give the Beanbath Cafe a 5-star review because it deserves it, but Yelp has some program that randomly takes some of five stars off. It's happened before when I really thought a place deserved it. The food here is excellent. The first time I had eggs benedict with smoked salmon, the next time breakfast quesadilla. They brewed my ice tea fresh for me. The decor also wants to make me go over and over. Nice leather sofas, one with a large Buddha picture over it. What a pleasant surprise was in store for us when we stopped here for breakfast on our way from NJ to PA! As soon as we entered the cafe, we received a friendly greeting from the hostess and knew that we had made the right choice. The ambiance was casual, the decor was very interesting, the food was excellent, and the views of the PA countryside were simply amazing. It was hard to believe that a cafe that had just opened its doors a few months ago could provide such an enjoyable experience. I'm in the Bethlehem area every Sunday, and have been trying out the various diners for lunch. I haven't encountered anything to write about, so this week I decided to check Yelp to see if there were any really highly recommended places for a casual (solo) lunch. The review for the Bean Bath Cafe looked great, so I gave it a try. I'm glad that I did. I arrived just before 1 PM on Sunday, and the place was packed. The menu was very interesting, and I had a difficult time choosing just what to have - I finally chose a San Bruno Club (ham, turkey, bacon, cheese and the rest). It was one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten! The waitress was attentive and very pleasant, as were the rest of the staff. Goodbye to local diners; I know where I'm going for lunch from now on! read more

Excellent hidden gem!!! Read about this place online and decided to go for a drive. Well worth it. We've been several times now and have yet to have a bad item. The fries are to die for. The sandwiches and wraps were fabulous. Pancakes were superb. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual yet attentive. The staff all work together and help each other out waiting on tables, clearing tables, etc., and in between are personable and friendly. This was my third time here, everything I've had is delicious! The staff has been attentive, the food is the proper temperature and has been delivered in an appropriate amount of time. The only thing I would warn about is if you pick the 'you pick two' option where you choose two items out of soup, salad or sandwich. The servings are quite small. My husband ordered soup and a Caesar salad today and left just about as hungry as when he walked in. I don't think the soup is even a whole cup. I had a similar experience with my first visit when I ordered a half sandwich and a salad; it's not filling. Being a vegan, I came into the BeanBath Cafe not sure what to expect. To my surprise I saw a tofu meal on the breakfast menu. The barista, daughter to the owner of this family owned and operated cafe was extremely cooperative in alerting me that the sauce in the meal was not vegan so she suggested it be eliminated. The owners of the cafe Christopher and Lyn came over and personally introduced themselves to me. Enthusiastically they showed me the recipe and pictures of Lyn's vegan inspired meal on their recently available dinner menu. Understanding that the cafe is not located in a prodominately vegan friendly area I feel they were positively accommodating and eager to please which I am truly grateful for. The coffee is freshly ground and immensely flavorful. They offer a variety of specialty espresso drinks as well as syrup flavors and smoothies. The menu is well thought out and fairly priced. The dining area is blessed with large windows providing a picturesque view the landscape. There is also a small lounge area and wifi availablity. Verdict: You WANT to come here! read more

Wow, Beanbath. We are worried about your restaurant's ability to have steady dependable hours for your faithful customers. We have been regular customers for quite some time now and really enjoy all the food on your menu but lately we have been greated by no cars out front and an apologetic sign on your front door saying sorry we're closed. We do not live close by so we drive a good distance from our home to get there. It's very disappointing when this happens. We have had this happen at least three times during the week, maybe more and now twice on a Saturday July 27th and today August 17th. I'm afraid more people are going to avoid the trip a couple miles north of Bath and your business will be ruined. You need to get a more dependable staff. We also know about your trying to hire another kitchen cook. Good luck to you but I know for sure we will probably go somewhere closer for breakfast from now on. read more

We took my wife here for Mother's Day breakfast. The front of house staff was very inexperienced and it showed. After sitting for 20 minutes we were asked to move to another table. Both our orders came out wrong. I ordered a simple cheese omelet which came out with ham in it. My wife is a vegetarian and her frittata had pieces of bacon in it. I stopped in out of curiosity, I was very pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere and quality of food. Extremely clean and friendly. To me this place has a combination feel of Starbucks and one of the eateries on main street in Bethlehem, except plenty of parking. Went to bean bath again and was not disappointed. We usually have breakfast but tried lunch for a change. Portabella mushroom burger was great and the roll was perfection . I will definitely amend my review if I go back and try again because I know there are extenuating circumstances that factor into a bad experience. I went in and every table was seated...which is fine; it's the holidays, people are off work and kids aren't in school. Both servers looked at us and never acknowledged us or said there would be any type of wait. We stood there for a few minutes before a waitress said the only seats open where facing a window to which we said was fine. We waited 25 minutes and neither server came to apologize or bring us a water even. I watched as they continuously walked by tables without clearing plates. After 25 minutes a girl came over and apologized and said it would be a while before our food came out. We asked how long and she said about half an hour. Now, there was a 12 top who was there when we arrived and I knew it would be much longer than 30 minutes for our food. This really isn't a place capable of handling a party of 12. If anything they should make larger groups call ahead so they're staffed better. From what I could see there was one cook and two servers and both of them looked a bit flustered. I really want to come back and try the food so I can amend my one star but first impressions are important. I really hope my next experience is better if I decide to go back! read more

Found this place by searching for lunch on Yelp. Really glad that I read the reviews and then decided on trying it. Having never been in this area before (we traveled 45 minutes from Jersey to get here), I'm glad I followed the google maps directions and saw some of the photos from outside the restaurant on Yelp. Otherwise, I think I might have just driven by it. Food was excellent. Great choices. All four of us had a hard time making a choice because there were so many items on the menu we wanted to try. The Beanath Cafe is a wonderful addition to the Lehigh Valley just north of downtown Bath on route 512. The atmosphere is warm, somewhat sophisticated with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The extensive breakfast and lunch menu has something for everyone from poached eggs to wraps to salads. We loved the eggs Benedict with a sauce that wasn't too rich and the BLT with crispy bacon and the best whole wheat bread we've ever tasted. A full coffee bar and fruit smoothies top any meal.
