If you are looking for a place to have a good coffee or tea, good service and time to eat a pastry or a sandwich this is the place to go. I've been looking for a place that has excellent reviews, open on Sundays and is not crowded, also not too commercial and I found it. I went on Easter Sunday and they were open on regular hours. As for the service, if you are ordering to eat-in you don't have to wait until your food is ready, NO, you find a spot sit either a chair/booth or table and they will bring your food, how nice is that!!!!! and when you finish they clean after you. Coffee Alternatives and coffee Specialties are really good, I believe if ain't mistaken they ground the coffee in-house. Same goes to the Signature Latte and Mochas, the only one I have tried is the sugar free Hazenut Divine. For food I've tried the Turkey Club with not too much chipotle mayo which give you enough kick to enjoy it and the Belgian Waffle which is only served on Sat and sun for $4 and include banana, strawberries and whipped cream, chocolate chips or blueberries, anything you want they will make it for you. A-Freaking-MAZING! The coffee here isn't cheap, but it's kind of one of those "Shut up and take my money!" kind of places. The coffee and food here is top notch. To put it in perspective, most of my reviews give an idea of if a place is worth a drive, and I kid you not, this is one of my favorite parts of our yearly Annapolis trip. So much so in fact, I will probably never miss a chance to visit this little coffee shop. That's sort of like saying it's worth an 8 hour drive! The coffee drinks are great, from the specialty to the standard and the foods (especially the smoked salmon bagel) are quite tasty. It's always hard to give a place five stars, I tend to think each general travel area should only have 1 five star establishment for a given category. I do not hesitate in the least to hand over the fifth star to Bean Rush Café. In fact I would even give it to the other locations in the area. If you still haven't decided, I don't know what to tell you, get in your car and check this place out. Visited this place while in Annapolis for a family memorial. So glad we found this place. The lattes were so awesome! I loved the Honey Bee, as well as the breakfast sandwiches were fresh and delicious. My favorite food item was definitely the banana bread, it was moist, full of flavor and the perfect consistency! Wonderful coffee, food and people but I've had trouble lately with their food service. I understand it's busy in the morning with drink orders which I've never had a problem with. A month ago I waited for 10 minutes for a bagel before someone realized no one had made it. Ending up late to work, I avoided going for awhile. 2 days ago I stopped in (my first time since being disappointed) and it happened AGAIN. This time a spoke up and got an "oops, sorry". Not sure what's going on but you guys should probably work on how the register communicates with food prep. read more

One of the things I don't understand about coffee shops is the high drink prices. A chai latte is powdered chai plus about 12 oz of milk and some water. Why does the price approach $5? Yes, I understand that most restaurants make their highest profits off drinks, but you'd think (or at least I would) that an alternative to Starbucks could make an impression by setting their prices about 1/3 lower -- or, alternatively, by going super high end (both in food quality and atmosphere) and charging even more. Bean Rush does neither, and while it's pleasant enough, it falls into the "drink price trap" I was just discussing. The drink prices are about $1 higher than comparably-sized Starbucks drinks, and their large size is smaller than a Starbucks venti for about the same price. I had a chai latte, which had a nice, rich flavor but which should have been a $3.50 beverage n my view. I didn't try or even see the sandwiches or other food selections, but they looked to be reasonably priced. Bean Rush is perfectly fine for an area where there's no nearby Starbucks, but I just felt the drinks were a bit too pricey given their size and quality. read more

This is a hidden gem of a place! Situated in a small shopping center but surprising cozy! Staff was friendly, efficient, smiling, and helpful. Packaged up leftovers before I even had to ask :) Pumpkin vanilla latte was delicious. Tried a little of everything because it was my first time here. You will not be disappointed if you order... The perfect amount of froth, syrup and espresso. I tried this place for the first time because I was searching the area between Baltimore and Washington, D.C., for a good place to get coffee on the weekends. They had such high reviews and good pictures of their latte art that I decided to give them a try. The coffee was delicious. I had an "Aussie Flat White" which is apparently a less foamy version of a latte. It was awesome. I also had a turkey club panini that was super good. The decor was very well done. It looks modern without being too fussy. The shop is immaculately clean and the bathrooms were stylish and spotless. The wifi was free and the owners were incredibly polite. Good-bye Starbucks... I have been anxiously awaiting Bean Rush Cafe to open. They have a surprisingly large and extensive menu of both coffee, tea, other beverages and food. I am by no means a coffee connoisseur, however it is evident as soon as you walk in that the Bean Rush staff certainly is. Trying a new place, I initially try the "simple" items(i.e regular coffee) as an initial gauge. After looking at their menu for a minute.. I realized this time it was going to be a hard commitment to keep. Nevertheless, I ordered just a plain regular coffee and sandwich. Both were delicious and exceeded my expectations. From their website, I gathered that they were coffee people but it was much to my surprise how delicious, fresh and well made the sandwich was as well. I didn't expect to find such a great little place way off of what I consider to be the beaten path. Bean rush is really one of those places you can come in and sit and enjoy yourself for several hours. To my surprise, they have a decent selection of really good coffee on top of some of the more typical fare that's sweetened into oblivion. Both of which are delicious. The sandwiches are also very good, although the specific selections escape me at the moment. What I can say is that they have nice a selection of sandwiches: vegetarian or meaty goodness. This is a nice place that's halfway between my house and Caffe Pronto, my usual stop for coffee, and fortunately, it's good enough to save me some gas most days. read more

This is a cute locally owned place. It is a nice hidden gem where people can come and drink coffee and get some work done. I met a classmate here and we get to get some studying in. There were a few students there as well. The staff there is helpful and friendly. I ended up getting a regular caramel frappe. I asked for half of the amount of sugar they typically put in and it was just right! I think if I got the regular caramel frappe it would be toothachingly sweet. The only down side to this place it that it closes at 6 because it is locally owned. But other than that it's a great place! read more
