I cannot recommend this place enough. My six year old is very much into geology and geology right now and the owner Phil and his lovely staff is absolutely phenomenal. They spend an extraordinary amount of time answering every single one of my son's questions as well as showing him the not for sale wonders, and sharing stories and pictures from Phil's travels and adventures. Izzy is one of the sale associates and she is the sweetest person ever. She follows my son and tells him about every rock. She opens the case to show him all of the coolest items and she's so patient and knowledgeable. There is a mind blowing selection here no just of beads but of rare specimens like a quarter of a billion year of fossil, giant geodes, and even affordable polished rocks for a few dollars. There are plenty of beads and jewelry making supplies. Really anything you can think of is all right here. It's not just sage, incense and selenite towers. This place is the real deal for the geologist inside us all. read more

The place is really fun and interesting. The staff person that I spoke to was very attentive and went above and beyond to help me with my project. But the prices were outrageous. You can buy the same items through Amazon for way less money. The cost for them to put items together for you is insane. It's so easy to put them together by yourself. Watch a YouTube video. They had a great selection of items, but not at all what I was looking for. They tried to make it work with what they had, but it just wasn't what I wanted. read more

I absolutely love this place! I've been here multiple times now and every visit is so pleasant. All the employees are so nice and welcoming! If you're looking for cheap (probably unethically sourced) beads + crystals, this isn't the place for you. As a broke gal I definitely have to limit myself to only buying a few things. But that doesn't mean it isn't worth it! Everything they have is so good and so worth the price, I like to treat myself once in awhile and splurge on some cute beads. My husband and I have been coming here for a few months now and today was the final straw. We won't be returning. The staff is rude and not welcoming at all. The selection is decent but the prices are a complete rip off. I would find the same crystals at other stores for half the price, if not cheaper. 1 palo santo stick is $7. What in the world?! My knotted pearl bracelet broke a while back and Beads, Crystals & More was recommended by another business I thought would do the repair but they no longer do that type of work. So I popped in with the pearl bracelet and another beaded bracelet I hoped they could shorten with the expectation of leaving them both for repair. While the pearl bracelet will take a couple of weeks to finish, Savannah immediately started working diligently on the challenge of shortening the beaded bracelet while I waited. She carefully took the clasp off and investigated a solution. She spent some time trying different ideas until we decided on her original suggestion to change the clasp and add a charm for some weight to better hold the bracelet in place as there really wasn't a way to shorten it without taking it totally apart. As it turns out, that was a perfect solution and the fresh new look is even better than I had imagined it could be! I'm so happy with the service, communication and quality of product I received that I have plans to take in another piece very soon! Explored Encitinas today..my day off of work. While on Highway 101 I saw a plaza with a bunch of shops. I like the way this shop looked from the outside so I thought I'd check it out. As soon as I entered I was greeted. The gentleman explained where everything from rocks\ minerals & beads were in the store. They can also customize jewelry for you. I heard somewhere that certain rocks have energies. They had different sizes of rocks and minerals & also explained their energy. Also in the bead case certain rocks can be made into jewelry. I thought that was awesome if you want to make pendent or earrings. I ended up buying one that helps with stress & it fits about the size of hand. Neither of them greeted us or excused themselves as they walked in front of us while we browsed inside the shop. What's worse is that another couple came in a few minutes after us and were greeted immediately. Have been to many bead shops in San Diego, as it is occasionally fun to build a necklace or bracelet for a family member. They have an excellent selection of product here and the staff ranges from truly crunchy tree-huggers to clear and bright eyed. Regardless, I have found their advice to be uniformly trustworthy and reliable. If you are going to be doing any beading, beading tweezers and a beading tray are pretty much required, other than that, it's up to you. Stopped in yesterday for some mineral/agate spheres(like natural marbles) they have by the register for about $7.00 each, and got a "beard discount" of 10%, which was a pleasant and bewildering thing! read more

I was greeted right away and asked if I needed any help. The staff were very nice and helpful, specifically Sydney. She was so incredibly helpful and kind and had such a wonderful personality. Came here a couple weeks ago to start my crystal collection. I've been on a soul-searching life journey and fell in love soon as I walked in. Hava is the sweetest ever. She was so patient with me. If you're willing to pay those prices without first looking online then i guess it's a great store to waste your money on crystals that block radio frequencies and "cure" cancer. I would warn anybody from paying too much money on these crystals that are bought online in bulk and sold for 300% mark up. read more

We go in to check out to get new crystals and beads and immediately we are glared at by a blonde lady working. Her arms are crossed and making eye contact with her doesn't change her look. No idea what her issue was. Very awkward situation seeing as how I was looking to spend at least $100 on new materials. I left spending nothing because of the awkward vibe. Bead and crystal stores are not flooded with people in the community, so you'd think that they would be nicer and wanting more business. Uninviting space. Beads and crystal galore. I do not think there is a bead, wire, clasp, or tool that this store does not carry. There is about 8 tables of beads and walls covered with string beads. The ladies that I always encounter are really friendly, helpful and definitely know their stuff. They will easily direct you on the correct path of your beading project. The only thing is... the prices are ridiculously high. I think they mark it up to 200-300 % from the wholesale price. If you are on a time crunch, then this place is the place to be. I am glad to see you are eager to sell your product. It is unfortunate, however, that you are not customer-oriented. I have voiced my concerned and my observations of your business and all you can do is mock my honest response by "LOL"ing. If I am letting you know that my child was made felt as if they were stealing, that should be of your concern, not the way I feel about it.  This is in no way about "taking a shot" at a "wonderful" business during pandemic. We are ALL struggling, but we do our best. You don't seem to care about that. A wonderful business would take everything into consideration, even criticism, so you grow as a person and as a business.  Your reputation should be one that reflects open-mindedness and community, not division and self-interest. This is not about you, but about what you do in the place you want to sell your products. If Encinitas is where you are so welcome, perhaps this community is not who you want to sell.  Selling is not customer service. Also, overpricing your beads so that when you apply a discount looks like a good price is NOT a good purchase. My child and I will be taking our business elsewhere, and I will make sure to let MY community know they should think twice about considering your store....!! read more

Beads, Crystals and More - More of a JOKE than anything ! I have no idea how this place stays open. The customer service is ZERO ! They are rude and do not care if they have your business or not. I went in to have them fix something that they said "no problem we can do that". Well, when they called me and I went to pick it up it was wrong and they tried to blame me for the mess that they made and on top of it wanted to charge me. I did not pay they did not like that and started to argue with me. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE arguing with a customer! . I will never go back to this shop again and I urge others to stay away unless you like BAD very BAD customer service and if you do this place is for you. I for one do not and will not put up with it. The place looks as if it gets no business and just for the extremely bad customer service should close. Everything is word of mouth and now days with computers and places like Yelp and face book , twitter shops like this should be more careful with the customers that come into the store. This is probably one of the BEST bead stores I have been in, in San Diego. This is like the black bead combined with a crystal shop. I was biking by and saw the sign and I just had to stop in. They have TONS of beads. the walls are mostly all amazing specimins of crystals and minerals. In the window they have gorgeous wands made entireley out of crystals. I frequent another crystal shop in old town, and this place had prices more than double the other. They have crystals that I have never seen in any other shop, and good quality too! Although they are too expensive here. They have every bead you can imagine...bone, wood, crystal, pewter charms (just like at black bead), seed beads, ethnic beads, and lots of sale beads too! Every pearl string, hemp, wire, and tools you might need. A one stop shop for a ritzy beader. I will definately be back when im not sweaty and tired from bike ride! read more
