He was very professional throughout, and took time to explain everything and provide clear evidence to support his recommendations. Josh also took the time and initiative to help track down filters for our kitchen water filter and figure out the appropriate specifications on the frequency of replacement, and a quote for doing the work if we wanted further assistance. read more

I had a great experience with Patrick Cahill and Beacon Plumbing. I called Patrick about a plumbing issue I was having, and right away he was reassuring and confident that they could help. He sent out Brady, who was excellent from start to finish. Brady showed up on time, was clean, professional, courteous, and very easy to talk to. He diagnosed the problem quickly and was able to fix it right away. It was not a major repair, but it also was not something simple for me to solve on my own, and I really appreciated how quickly and confidently he handled it. He made the whole situation much less stressful. I genuinely enjoyed having Brady in my home, and I really appreciated the help when I was in a tight spot. From now on, for any plumbing, heating, air conditioning, or electrical issue, I will be calling Patrick at Beacon Plumbing -- and hopefully he sends Brady out again. As the owner of a property management company, I work with contractors and vendors every single day. Unfortunately, my experience with Beacon Plumbing was one of the most unprofessional customer service interactions I've ever had. We submitted a work order for a leak under a kitchen sink. Several hours later, we received an email in all caps stating, "CANCEL, INFORMATION NOT CLEAR." There was no explanation or request for clarification. Confused, I called the office simply to understand what information was needed so we could get the work moving forward. Camille answered the phone, and the conversation quickly became hostile. Rather than allowing me to explain or working toward a solution, she repeatedly interrupted me, refused to hear my explanation, and ultimately hung up on me. Thinking the call may have been disconnected or there had been a misunderstanding, I called back. Unfortunately, the second conversation was even worse. Camille remained aggressive and dismissive. When it became clear she wasn't interested in resolving the issue, I asked to speak with her manager. Her response was, "I AM the Manager!" Your phone system states that calls are recorded. If that's the case, I would strongly encourage Patrick Cahill, the owner, to review this call. As someone who owns a business and manages employees myself, I was genuinely shocked that an office manager would speak to a customer this way. Ironically, we had a Beacon technician complete a work order at one of our rental properties just days earlier, and the experience with the technician was excellent. Because of that, we were excited to send more business to Beacon. Unfortunately, this interaction with the office completely changed that. Customer service matters just as much as quality workmanship, and after this experience, I cannot continue to trust Beacon with our business. It's unfortunate because this could have been resolved with a simple conversation. Instead, we've decided to take our business elsewhere. read more

We were told by one company last year during a tuneup that our furnace motors wouldn't last the winter. Our AC wasn't working its best this year and my fiancé got a diagnosis from another company that said we needed EVERYTHING replaced, even though our AC is only 3 years old. He said our furnace ruined our AC. We wanted a second opinion and a quote for a new furnace so I put a feeler out on Yelp and Beacon was one of the first companies to respond. We scheduled an appointment and they were flexible with my busy schedule. Turns out our furnace while old is working fine just needed a new filter and the ac needed a new part, that looked like it had been tampered with...Beacon saved us thousands and such a headache. We discovered a leak in a backflow valve at our office building on a recent Saturday. Beacon sent 2 plumbers. They said they couldn't completely fix it but said the leaks were stabilized and that they would call back Monday AM with an estimate to rebuild vs. replace the valves. Turns out the leak wasn't fixed and they didn't call. I think they forgot about us. We did have someone else fix it several days later. On the plus side, Patrick called us once he found out what happened and was apologetic and very generous, refunding our payment. Mistakes happen and a good measure of any business is how they take care of mistakes. Patrick did the right thing and we appreciate him for that. read more

I super appreciate Beacon Plumbing. My main sewer line backed up on a Sunday and they were able to come out within a couple of hours and fix the issue for a very reasonable price. Alex was professional, took the time to explain the problem, and showed pictures of the problem area within the plumbing. UPDATE: After filing a complaint with the BBB, I finally received a call back from customer service. They did agree to refund a portion of the fee and I appreciate that. However, the response from Beacon is incorrect - the technician did not clear the line; it was my father-in-law who was finally able to clear the line. I will say that Beacon's customer service was very interested in helping make my bad experience better. read more

Our water service line sprung a leak that was flooding our yard. I dug down to find the leak, and when i did, the pipe was an old material that would have to be replaced or else it would just keep breaking. Beacon plumbing came on short notice late in the evening and installed a temporary fix so we could have water for the night. The next morning, they began replacing the water line. That part went well, but in the process, they had used an excavator to dig for access to where the water line connects to the house in a spot adjacent to our sprinkler manifold box, and the manifold broke and began leaking. I had asked them to fix it, but they denied it having anything to do with the work they had done. They were using large equipment to dig a hole so close to the sprinkler manifold box that the side of the box was exposed. It wouldn't have bothered me if they had just fixed it, but they completely refused to do anything about having damaged my irrigation system until i got a quote from another company for fixing it that said it'd be $700, and I had just spent $8500 getting the water line fixed. Then they sent someone out to fix it, but the patch job they did on the sprinkler manifold began leaking again within a week. I didn't want to let this leak go on right next to the foundation of my house while I argued with them some more, and I didnt want my yard to die, so I just hired another company to take out the crappy repair beacon did and put in a new manifold. On the one hand, I appreciate that they came on short notice and fixed the water line to my house. I don't appreciate the fact that they damaged my irrigation system in the process, and I really don't appreciate how much I had to fight them to get them to fix their mistake. Getting them to even attempt to fix the irrigation manifold took weeks, and I still had to hire someone else to do it. I probably won't use beacon again if I can get another company to do what I need. read more
