But I went to where ever PSR sent me. I worked in small offices, medium sized offices and huge operations. The same offices which would never consider me to work one day after looking at my resume, were asking me to stay on for 3 months, six months, eleven months, from 2-3 day appointments. PSR also has great clients. I was treated extremely well, and when I had anything resembling a problem , I always checked with "the PSR office". From 2006-2012, I've had so many going away parties because I got along with my PSR clients. My big heart breaker was when my term was up for a child Care Center. The staff gave me a going away party. The teacher's and the 3-5 year olds gave me a send-off, with hand drawn pictures, a fist full of sparkles, and other handmade lump-in-the-throat sentiments. I eventually settled in a job which asked me to stay as a permanent employee. PSR wasn't sweating me or the client about money or contracts, instead, they were very supportive which made it extremely hard to leave them, but the had my best interest in mind and I couldn't say that happens with many jobs. I truly miss working for PSR. I am constantly referring any students I think are trustworthy ( i WOULDN'T SEND ANYBODY TO WASTE THEIR TIME). I've been a permanent employee at a prestigious College for 4 years.

I also love the PS&R personal touch: When you get hired for a job they send you an encouraging email; when the job's done, they send another one expressing their appreciation and an upbeat note about future prospects. Nice. Not many employment agencies know (or care enough to know) that adding those extra touches makes a difference to clients who are stressed out in this still shaky economy. Certainly has made a difference for me.

I went months and months of applying endlessly, and the only interviews I seem to get were the ones where I had a connection (and I'm not particularly good with networking to begin with, so they were far and few). I searched for 'top recruiters in Boston' and let's just say they all disappointed. I won't mention them by name, but they wasted my time, gave me false hope and had little follow-through on their part, with no contact for months, and I would get pathetic, measly replies after hounding them. After being burnt several times by useless recruiting agencies (you know who you are), I decided that I will try the next one down the list, with no expectations whatsoever. I worked primarily with Dave, and he was so caring and kind, and I finally felt I had my own cheerleader in this dreadful job hunting process. Within a week, he had 3 interviews lined up for me. Within 2.5 weeks, from first contact, I started my new job! I would've started sooner if it weren't for the holidays. They really follow-through, and when they say they're looking for openings for you, they mean it! Before every interview, I had a call with Dave to prep me for what's to come. I didn't even ask for it -- he just did it! They went above and beyond, and they continue to keep in touch with me to make sure all is good in the new place. I met several former Manning candidates in this job and other places I interviewed, and they all have nothing but amazing things to say, and it's no surprise there. I know at this point I am sounding like I get commission for endorsements lol, but the truth is, I was in a difficult spot, mentally, financially, and I would want anyone else in a similar situation to find the same help that I did. Vocational rehabilitation, if you will. Save yourself the frustration, and start with them first.

It was so refreshing to have people in your corner who are dedicated to getting you placed in a role. Ellie is an absolute sweetheart and she and Kelly worked around the clock to get me into a position. I'm genuinely a little sad that I won't get my daily (yes, you read that correctly DAILY) updates from my girls at Manning. Thank you so much to the Manning team! Work with them, you will not regret it!

I originally found their listing on a few job boards and it was clear to me that I was contacting a recruiting agency and not applying for a job itself, so I cannot speak for those suggesting false information and the like. The next day I received a call to meet with the team I would be working with and had a very pleasant experience doing so. After some time of minimal contact, things started to kick back up and I had weekly check-ins with a member from the team I was working with. This eventually led to a multiple interviews with an employer I had successfully landed a job with. I found the feedback provided by my Workbridge team helpful as they always made sure I was prepared for an upcoming interview. My sole gripe would be that the information provided can often be reiterated a few too many times, and many times the questions I'm asked feel more like they're being read from a script as opposed to genuine curiosity. But overall, if you need some extra help landing a role, I would advise you to give Workbridge a chance. You never know what opportunity may arise, and when coupled with your own job searching, you may find them to be an excellent resource.

She was very professional, knew what she was doing, and sounded like she has a great relationship with their clients (employers). Asked me couple questions about my skills and experience, what I want to do in a long run. After the interview, she explained some of the jobs they have in the system and asked me if any of those spark my interest. Really liked this short term assignment in Cambridge, was places there a week after that interview! Went through many assignments with various employers through John Leonard so far, was a great experience to work with all those employers. I can't exactly remember what the job was, but there was some interest in one job I wanted and I physically interviewed at their Chicago office. (I'm not sure the downtown location is there anymore.) Shortly after, I ended up getting a full-time editing job with another company that I applied to on my own, so I never got to find out what the company was like. Fast forward several years (maybe a decade?) later. A couple of clients came and went in my full-time freelancing career. I'd randomly applied for jobs with this organization but never held my breath because I always seemed to be getting rejection notifications. (I don't take those personally. I realize there are hundreds of other people all applying for the same jobs.) But I'd been completing freelance work for about eight years and just had no desire to sit in an office again. I have had a handful of remote clients since the pandemic and LOVE(D) working with them. I decided to sign up for Creative Circle again after I stopped for years because of the rejection notifications. I found it was much easier waiting for invites than to apply on my own because the recruiters (obviously) knew what their clients were looking for. I accepted one job invite (along with a few more), and BOY, DID THAT MAKE ME LOVE CREATIVE CIRCLE! The recruiter (Liz) who I briefly talked to was nice. The HR and Payroll team are pleasant. Cesar (who I completed the interview with) and Paula Jean (Engagement Specialist) have been amazing to work with. And best of all, I really like the job and the duo from that company that I work for via CC. I don't know if I would've had this great of an experience a decade ago. All I know is it came "right on time" this year, and maybe THIS TIME was the right time. Even if the project is just for this year, I can easily recommend and compliment Creative Circle for how they treat their contractors. I have zero complaints with CC or the external client. I'd recommend them to anybody.
