Mike Smith of the company inspected the issue proposed a fix that included a drainage system and sump pump. He also assured me that they could take care what ever issue they may find down there. His estimate was very reasonable. The work started when they said it would. WHAT A WEIGHT LIFTED FROM MY SHOULDERS. When the three man crew arrived and introduced themselves and the supervisor outlined what they would be doing and when they expected to complete the job. The supervisor, Efrain, and Salvador and Eddie gave me confidence I was in great hands. Now this is something you hardly ever hear anyone say anymore; but I have never seen three men work so hard and professionally as those three did. Efrain kept me totally abreast of the progress with before and after videos. I know I have restricted myself in the past to restaurant reviews as my wife and I are foodies. But I learned there are "artists" in other fields of work as well. Swain Co and their people are one class act as ND I would hghly recommend them for any crawl space, foundation or basement issues. You won't see them advertising on TV like other companies because they don't need to. Word of mouth by previous customer service have kept them very very busy.

I contracted them to sand and paint my interior base trim, doors and windows along with a number of other small tasks in preparation to sell my home. They talked a good story and were available to start quickly on my work, so I hired them. This was a horror story that is hard to believe. Below is a letter I sent Mike after he shared an invoice (that was incorrectly figured). I have photos of the house how is was left, the damage they did (that had to be repaired). I eventually had to bring in a new crew to do all the paint touch up due to the sloppy work of Mike Richardson Home Repair. My only advise is stay away from Mike Richard Home Repair. This is not a professional crew. Mike, First let me again restate the dissatisfaction I have with your company. Your motto has never been more correct - "The Difference is in the details!". The detail was clearly lacking and that was the difference. The quality of the work and many missed schedule commitments caused me over 4 weeks of time getting my house on the market. I have an adjusted bill (attached) based on my information and estimate provided at the time we agree to start the project. Contained in the attachment is only a portion of the issues I faced due your crews. In it I adjusted the total for the work completed as stated in the estimate. As for a late fee, the work was not completed as indicated on the estimate nor in a timely manner. In addition, I was making partial payments during the entire project (which I regret) and in invoice was not shared till the 22nd of July. Issues noted with project: - house was left open for days while I was in Spain (windows were left out in the master bathroom for 3 - 4 days, house was completely left unsecured) - lights were left on constantly - air compressor that leaked constantly was left running when crew was gone - tape left around windows and door casing for days (10+) took paint off, which had to be retouched by myself and the bathroom had to be painted ($400) as the original color was not available - schedule delay after delay, missed promises (twice had to provide gas for your truck, once while at my house took 5 gal can and the other drove into town to fill your truck) - crew was someone you found at Circle K - constantly asked for cash to give to the guys, supplied gas for your truck - house floors and garage left with paint all over it - many painted doors had to be adjust to fit due to the excessive paint in the jams (paid a different contract to do this ($400) (not included in adjusted bill - carpet in master bedroom had paint on it and had to be removed (this also caused me to replace the carpet in the other bedrooms (again, trim was not removed and painted as indicated in the estimate ($2600, not included in the adjust bill) Mike, I can go on and on about the poor work completed. You yourself commented on how bad the work was and how you had not paid attention. I have lots of photos, evidence and witnesses to the work and state of how the project was left. Based on my adjusted billing I consider the payment for the 'work' you completed done and I will not ask for a refund. I will share the invoice for the window repair when received and my expectation is you pay for this damage. Very disappointed, Kipp Bottorff

Rodney was very communicative and the team who worked on our home was wonderful. Everyone is blown away by our new, much larger kitchen and say that it looks like it was always like this--the drywall and details are flawless. We will be using Pettit for all of our home projects!
