3 1/2 stars. Beachside Seafood is not right on the beach. It is a no frills seafood place, specializing in seafood boils. Order at the counter and a server will bring the food to you. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. First the bad news. Boys ordered soup (1 Lobster Bisque and 1 Clam Chowder) and Crab Cakes. I would not recommend either. The soups were served luke warm. Both were too thick, with an almost gummy like consistency. The boys liked the crab cakes. I tried them and did not agree. They were mostly filling and had a very strong flavor. On to the good news. Lobsta!!! Husband and I both ordered "boils" and enjoyed them. He ordered the Lobster, Shrimp, Crab Combo. I ordered the Scallop & Lobster Combo. I have to say this was one of the best lobster tails I have had in a long time! It was a perfectly prepared, sweet, juicy, Maine lobster tail! The scallops were actually pan seared. They were also well prepared (not over done), with a nice flavor. They were just served with a bit too much oil for me. All of the "boils" are served with garlic bread, sausage slices, red potatoes, and and corn. The corn was perfectly crunchy and the potatoes tasted great with the garlic butter. I also tasted 13 year old's Cole Slaw-a little heavy on the mayonnaise but good. Worth a return visit for the lobster tails! read more

Stopped by here the other evening. This is a very nice quick serve style restaurant. What seems to be missing is the quick part. It wasn't really that busy but it took an ungodly amount of time to order. They had three registers but only one was open. Even stranger is it wasn't all that busy for such a wait. Well we made our food and drink order. At 630pm they were out of he'll n blazes lager which is new local favorite so I opted for Stella. We took our number, grabbed our drinks and sat down. So after about 40 minutes of waiting we asked about our order. They said the point of sale made some kind of mistake but they would get our food out right away. About 5 minutes later I got my Gumbo. It was clearly their interpretation of the southern classic and was just OK. Our food arrived shortly after and it looked and smelled great. I have had low country boil many times at family events and I found the lobster tail and shrimp good. I wasn't so keen on the cheese on everything and I ordered it mild not spicy. I was hungry so I just went for it. It wasn't too spicy but the shrimp were few, small, and difficult to peel. Very little sausage with this dish but the potatoes and corn were tasty. The lobster tail is small but tasty if you avoid the cheese. All in all a good experience dispute the register issues, small portions, and cheese. Clearly some room for improvement can be made but I would give it another try in a few months to give them time to work through the kinks. To my fellow Yelpers. Five star this place is not. The inside had a beachy feel. You can get a cocktail and eat some good seafood. I tried the lobster bisque, which was just ok - a little heavy on the tomato flavor for me. I also had the two lobster tail basket. The lobster was cooked and presented well. It came with sausage, corn, and potatoes. I wasn't able to eat it all. My son got the Mahi bites as an appetizer and loved them. He saved the sauce that was leftover from them to eat with the blackened Mahi that he ordered. He gave this place two thumbs up. read more

Surprise find on an Independence Day evening... With friends visiting from out of town, we did something we have rarely if ever done - went out to eat on July 4th. Normally we do go out - beach, movie, stuff like that, but always end up head back to our place for the grill or someone elses. But not this year. What we discovered is that most places are closed and this particular place was our third choice, to be frank. Though I will tell you, I am glad the other locales were off, this was a "find" if ever there was one. Located at one end of a strip mall, this restaurant offers seating inside and out, with a nice sized seating arrangement inside. They have a few TVs hanging from the walls, high up, and most where sports related. The menu is not big, but it's big on choices - and if you're into seafood, and I really mean into seafood - this is a must stop. I'd take too much room to go over the menu, so my suggestion is to stop in and experience it yourself. For a appetizers we shared hush puppies, calamari, and mozzarella sticks - hot and fresh and good. For our meal my wife and I shared the Seafood for Two, which at first blush I thought I would finish up in a snap - but it was a serious amount of seafood - lobster, snow crabs, potatoes, sausage, corn-on-the-cob, shrimp, and the big-sized scallops. All of it boiled really well. Service was spot on and friendly, and you can tell this was a family run business that truly cared. The seafood restaurant we wanted to patronize announced that they wouldn't be able to prepare any meals for 45 minutes, so my lovely lady and I decided to try Fish City Grill rather than wait an additional 45 minutes at the other place. Our server at Fish City Grill was super nice and very friendly. She helped up decide, then fairly quickly brought us our meals: a Grouper sandwich and a Shrimp Trio Low Country Boil. My Low Country Boil had lots of minced Garlic mixed in with the Shrimp, so I expected a yummy Garlicky flavor. Sadly, the minced Garlic had hardly any Garlic flavor at all and neither did the Shrimp. I tried all three kinds of Shrimp, but none of them had any flavor. I had to dip them into (red) Cocktail Sauce to get them to taste good. Beachside Seafod don't seem to infuse the boil water with flavor and spices. Rather, they seem to sprinkle Old Bay seasoning onto the Shrimp after taking them out of the boil. When you peel the Shrimp, the seasoning gets rubbed off along with the shell, so it's on my hands and not on the Shrimp. My lovely lady's Grouper sandwich was "good but not great." I'd much rather rave about a restaurant and offer them 5 stars. Sadly, in this case, Fish City Grill truly deserves 3 stars from me. A good meal, but not spectacular. A great place for Seafood in Indialantic This restaurant is located south on A1A between the Eau Gallie and US 192 causeways. It is in a strip center on the west side of the road. This site is in the southernmost corner of the center. There is plenty of parking with most of it directly in front of the building. You enter through a glass door and are facing the counter with all the tables to your right. The space is very pretty with grey plank tile for the floor, a large school of fish covering the right wall, and windows facing the parking lot. There are 12 tables of 4 people and 2 counter's facing the windows with 8 seats each. The staff was very friendly from when we arrived to when we left. The menu is mostly seafood with a few non-seafood options. We ordered the Conch Fritters as an appetizer with remoulade sauce. The main dishes that we tried were the shrimp and grits and a grilled Mahi sandwich with french fries. The food came out quickly and both dishes were excellent. The Mahi sandwich was the best one that I have ever had. The cost was reasonable but a little higher. Each main dish was about $15 and the appetizer was $10. Overall, it was a great experience that I would recommend to anyone craving good seafood in the area. read more

I loved the fried shrimp and the corn was really good too. I would go here again, I would've gone the next day too but they were closed lol. We wanted have dinner here the other night and it was just one of the days. So we left. I left a review describing our experience and minutes after it posted, the management posted an email and asked if I'd get in touch. He apologized and explained the issue that particular night and asked if we'd come back at some point. I made a point to have lunch there before we left. The manager on duty was very engaging, the server was very attentive and my food was excellent. I had scallops, seared and they were great. We all have those days and I certainly understand. My bestie and I made our way to Beachside Seafood to celebrate my birthday and it was well worth the hour and a half drive from Orlando. The service was beyond outstanding and the food is the stuff (seafood) dreams are made of. This meal makes my top ten favorites list...it's just that good and the prices are phenomenal. We started with seared scallops and smoked fish dip, both of which were delectable. The only issue I had was that the scallops lacked that nice, crispy caramelization that Chef Ramsay is constantly bitching about. Still great tasting, but gotta work on that sear-age. ;) We both chose the Lobster Tail and Shrimp Combo (which includes boiled potatoes, sausage, garlic toast and corn on the cob) for our entrees and (Oh...My...GOD!) I thought I had died and gone to Seafood Heaven. Our waitstaff and hostess made us feel right at home and treated us like family. I can't wait to return for more of the best seafood ever!! read more

Highly recommended! We just had an extremely good late lunch here. The service was great (thanks, Emily, hope all goes well with #3!), and the food is exceptional. Barbara had the Snow Crab Clusters with shrimp, and I had the spicy shrimp and grits with a Dragon Point IPA from Intracoastal Brewing. Although we were already stuffed, we still managed to split a piece of key lime pie for dessert (very tart, very good, clearly not from Publix). This was the most bullshit bowl of gumbo (I ordered several so it wasn't just mine). $9 each, 90% rice with one piece of sausage, a sliver of seafood and a defrosted crayfish. Totally disappointed! I always read reviews before trying a new place and can only hope tonight's dinner was out of the ordinary. The snow crab was so over-cooked it was mushy and served up a mouth full of salty water when bitten into. The corn is "cattle corn", not sweet corn that is harvested for human consumption. The peel and eat shrimp were O.K but it is pretty hard to mess up on boiled shrimp. Not all was lost though...the server was excellent. read more

Oh my gosh, this place is amazing! Happened to see it while driving by, glad we turned around and had our first ever dinner here in Melbourne, FL. First things first, it is a clean, well run establishment. A nice big sink to wash hands in too. This is important if you get the Florida Low Country Boil basket, which I highly recommend! The staff was delightful and on point. Now, the food! My Lovely Bride and I both got the Boil Basket. Her's the 2 Lobster tails mild, mine the snow crab and shrimp Cajun spicy. Easy 5 stars from me. The shrimp was amazing, the spices on point and the staff was very friendly. I recommend the spicy garlic rice w/ shrimp. As someone who likes very hot food, I'm regularly disappointed by what passes for spicy in most places, but this, while not particularly hot, had a nice kick to it. I could eat that dish every day. The one bad thing I have to say is that the hush puppies were a bit bland to me. Could just be a preference thing, but I felt something was missing there. We stopped on our drive up 95 from Palm Beach to Orlando looking for seafood. The place had good reviews and was close to one of the best swimming beaches on Florida's Atlantic coast: Paradise Beach. The prices were reasonable, service was excellent. Our youngest is a picky eater and the host/ chef made her feel right at home with a grilled cheese made with 3 types of real cheese. A large group of bikers entered the restaurant right before us, but our server made sure to get our order in first so we didn't need to wait too long. The hush puppies were in the small side, but try the blackened bites! The crab low boil was perfectly prepared and was a good portion. Very clean, new building with a great atmosphere. read more
