We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at Beachside Inn! We came down to Destin on a whim to look at houses to purchase in the area and had to find a place to stay last minute. Beachside Inn was the only reasonably priced lodging in the area that could accommodate our two large dogs, and the front desk staff was very understanding and welcoming. Our room was immaculately clean and incredibly easy to check into. The room was also extremely spacious and had ample room for all four of us. There was even a freshly baked loaf of blueberry bread on the desk, which was such a sweet touch! We stayed for four days and not once did we experience a single disruption - the inn was quiet and peaceful. The beach is just a two minute walk across the street. The inn is tucked away in a walkable neighborhood with beautiful homes - we enjoyed walking around the area with our dogs. Camille's cafe and restaurant is right next door - we got breakfast there two of our four mornings, and it was absolutely delicious! They have fresh smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, etc. Check out was a breeze - all we had to do was lock the room and enter a check-out code on the keypad. We would absolutely stay at Beachside Inn again! read more

Clean, cute and close to everything I love this place. Across the street from the beach, but closer walk than some of the places on the beach if that makes sense. read more

Photos and reviews do not do this place justice. It's lovely, and perfect location. Clean and comfortable with ease.

Located across the street from Crystal Beach, and close to Henderson State Park, this small hotel did not disappoint. The rooms are very basic and clean and come equipped with a small fridge and microwave. Parking is a bit tight, but not really a problem. There is a nice sized pool and a small whirlpool which I did not use. I found it was priced pretty adequately for its offerings and location. I reserved the room by phone a couple of days before. I paid a deposit and they sent me the confirmation via text. The text contains your entry code for the room, since there are no keys. It also contains the code for the checkout process which is very important. I would definitely stay there again. FYI: There is a restaurant, "Camille's", on site, but I would not recommend it. I don't think it's associated with the hotel, but it's connected to it. The service was subpar and it was dirty. read more

Had an evening at the Beachside Inn during the holidays. Right across from the beach! Check-in was easy and they had a delicious blueberry bread waiting for us. Ran down to Camille's cafe for a latte and muffin before checkout. We will definitely return! read more

Love coming here! Beautiful hotel right across the street from the beach. You can't see the beach from the hotel, but it is so so close and more affordable than right on the water. The staff here are super nice and accommodating. The place doesn't offer breakfast, but you are provided with a local loaf of bread which is cute and tasty. The inside rooms are super clean and also decorated cute. For example, ribbons are tied around the TP and shower curtain. Attention to detail here is 100%. Also, shuttle to airport is sometimes available. 5 stars! Definitely go. read more

This was our first time staying here and during COVID-19. Self check in and check out was extremely nice not to have to deal with people as you would other hotels. The rooms were nice and spacious with updated amenities. What was most important to me was the comfort of the beds and they were comfortable. Don't worry about the AC units because they do work and boy do they work good! This place is right across from the beach and it's amazing to not have to drive and find parking for the beach. The pool is top notch and was very relaxing to come back to after the beach. Also, dog friendly! The downsides were parking at night because of the restaurant located on the second floor. It does get a little rowdy and loud at night, but doesn't hinder sleep. The walls are also a little thin. Also, the top floor near the restaurant does smell because of the kitchen being on the second floor. If you have ever been a restaurant worker, you will know the smell. They should definitely do a better job at cleaning the walkway on the second floor. We will definitely come back! read more

My husband & I just stayed here and Loved It The room was super clean...The bed was SO comfortable...Access to the beach was very close...The newly renovated pool was very nice And it was peaceful enough to sleep the whole night! Plus they're a dog friendly hotel We will be back next year!! read more

Stayed here just for a couple nights on the way to another destination.. very friendly staff, clean comfortable room, very comfortable bed (very soft but supportive, may be an issue if you must have a stuff mattress). The inn itself isn't super fancy, but very well cared for. They even left a loaf of 'breakfast bread' in the room as a welcome. Room had a mini fridge, microwave and toaster. NONE OF THAT BEATS THE LOCATION. It is literally across the street from crystal beach, you can be there in a couple minutes if you walk slowly. The beach is up there with some if the best in the world.. Perfect white sand, perfectly clear water, perfectly clean. There is a decently rated restaurant upstairs that we didn't get a chance to try and a little cafe on the corner that seemed average. read more

Quiet, clean, pet friendly. There is a public beach across the street with a public pavilion to get out of the sun or weather if needed. It does have beach showers to wash down. Check-in/check-in is all done via a cellphone app. Camille's restaurant is on-site and quite busy at night with the local's. Recommended second floor accommodations. read more

Gotta say, thanks yelpers! And I'd have to agree with what most on here have said. The ladies at the front desk were especially friendly, rooms were nice. We had two double (VERY) comfy beds and they way the room was set up left room for a more private bathroom. We went right before spring break started so ended up getting a really good deal on the price AND got to wave bye to the spring breakers on their way in while we were on our way out. One thing I'd like the ladies running the place to know is I could've been happier with the cleaning staff. We skipped a clean the first night but requested it the second. Not all the trash was taken out, the sheets weren't changed and the counters could've been cleaned better. When we come back to Destin, thought, this is where we're staying. read more

Beachside in is an excellent facility. The room was spacious and well appointed. Great location, right across the street from a beautiful beach. The Motel has great onsite facilities, pool, hot tub deck area. The staff were incredibly helpful. I was checking in after normal business hours. Normally they are open until 5pm and after that a lock box system is used. As I was running a little late the manager waited for our arrival to ensure we were well taken care of. Great place, staff, and very reasonable cost. read more

Kelly and Penny took such good care of us on check in, we instantly became raving fans. This place has what we refer to as "three to thrive" for a relaxing vacation get away. Great service, great location and great food. The beach is spectacular, the sushi fantastic and the bike and scooter rental joint attached make it really easy to come back again and again. Having combed up and down the strip for a great hotel, I recommend you take a look at what this has to offer. If your fortunate and speak with Kelly when making arrangements, tell her Ed say's hi! read more

This was our first time staying here. And will not be our last time staying. From check in to check out it was wonderful. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. The room was extremely clean and roomy for myself, my husband, and our fur baby. The pool was clean and and the decks of the pool was also clean. The little cafe is also delicious. It is also a short walk to the beach right across the street. They are also extremely pet friendly, but keep the pet area super clean. You will not regret staying here! read more

I found this place on a last minute trip to Destin. I love the location it is literally a 3 minute walk to the beach and next to restaurants and shopping. It is pet friendly so I was able to bring my puppy. The office staff was nice and helpful. I would stay here again. My one request would be to clean the air vents the one in our bathroom was completely overflowing with dust on the outside metal part I can't imagine what the actual filter looks like. I do understand things like that could be overlooked with day to day cleaning. I still highly recommended staying here. read more

We just happened to pass by this place while driving on scenic highway 98. We decided to stop in for a cold beer and a sandwich. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The beer is ice cold. The yellowfin tuna sandwich was phenomenal. Sitting outside on a beautiful day. Another table of patrons overheard us talking about our plans to go to Seaside. They started telling us more about it and made other recommendations for us. Friendly helpful people! read more

Beachside Inn - Sitting outside at Beachside Inn - Hotels Near Me - Destin, Florida

Just ended a lovely four night stay at the Beachside Inn with my sister and my boyfriend. It was my sisters birthday, so I wanted to stay somewhere other than the usual chain hotel. Our room was clean, simple, and nicely decorated. They leave a complimentary loaf of breakfast bread in the rooms, which is a very nice touch. The hotel staff were very sweet and they sent lots of information the few days before we checked in. The main thing that this hotel has going for it, though, is the location! It is perfectly situated a block away from the beach, and I don't even know if the distance is a full block. It's also great because there is direct public beach access on the corner, so you don't have to walk far to get to the water. It's about a 45 second drive from a main highway and easy access to restaurants and other attractions. The pool was very nice, as was the hot tub. You can see the ocean from the second level of the pool. We ate at the little cafe twice and had great experiences both times. I will say that we were there in the off-season, so I can't speak to how it is when there are tons of people. But we will definitely be back before next summer! read more

Wow, we lucked out and selected great vacation lodging for our first trip to Destin. We loved the clean, modern rooms with high ceilings and a ceiling fan. A small fridge and microwave were a bonus. When the beach was too much, we enjoyed the two level pool. Because we didn't always want to drive somewhere, the two onsite restaurants were appreciated (one good for coffee, smoothies and breakfast/lunch, the other more of a dinner/nightspot sushie/bar kind of place) onsite. On our list for this vacation was to rent bicycles for some beach side bike riding. Boy were we surprised to see bike and scooter rental onsite as well. We spent hours covering miles of easy bike riding without having to drive anywhere. In fact, many restaurants and stores were in walking/biking distance, such as Outback, Marble Slab Creamery, a large Barnes and Noble and more. And perhaps best of all is that it was truly across from the beach. Not a block away but an easy walk across the street, where we found a covered pavilion with modern bathrooms, picnic tables and outside showers, all free. Next time we can afford the time to return to the white sandy beaches and clear, warm waters of Destin, we'll be staying here. The price was very reasonable, too. read more

We were traveling to Destin for business and were just staying in town for 1 night. We had our little yorkie with us and found it was very difficult to find pet-friendly on/near the beach. The staff was soo friendly and accommodating. They even gave us a delicious loaf of blueberry bread at check-in. The room was very clean which is our number 1 priority. And cleanliness is usually not found at pet friendly places. If you are looking for a hotel that is clean and very convenient to the beach, I recommend this one. read more

First of all, the service was incredible. We only stayed one night, but from the phone call to book, to check-in, to discounting our room because it had two beds instead of the one King we'd reserved, the staff was incredible. Nice touch of a free breakfast food item and drink (coffee or juice) at the cafe attached to the hotel. The location of this hotel was why we booked. Cross the street, and you're at a public beach access ramp. Perfect. read more

I hate to write this poor review but for what this place costs per night... I owe it to people to inform those who intend to stay there... This does NOT mean the few things cannot be fixed and be a perfect five star vacation spot. The Good: Staff was great at the office! Pet friendly, large rooms (very clean) mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker big bathroom, great location, pool, spa, breakfast cafe and parking. All the stuff you'd expect for a $200+/night place. This place is heaven until.... The bad: BEDBUGS!!!!! Everything was great until the second day I noticed my torso had been feasted on multiple times. So glad we only stayed there one night! It kills me to say that this gem has bedbugs.. I thought we found our GOTO place in Destin.. I can only comment on Camiles Sushi since we bolted quickly.. Sushi roll was fresh, average size but really lacked condiment. I asked for a couple things to be added to the roll (didn't happen after server said okay) Ordered baked muscle app. (tasted as they should but poor presentation) SEVENTEEN FREAKIN DOLLARS!!!!!! NEVER seen a baked muscle app over $9.00.. Out of their minds and they looked at me like I was crazy, everything else seemed to be priced right. The restaurant has amazing aromas coming out of it so I'll be back to try the regular menu. I want this to be a five star for it's charm and everything but bedbugs and poor sushi service was so saddening... Once the bedbugs are gone, I'd happily give it at least a 4 or 4.5 and be back again. I'd stay at this place over ANY resort so long as the bugs are gone.. I hope it gets fixed soon! Kinda fell in love with the place.. -California Redneck read more

Very nice looking rooms, however, my husband and I had to be moved the first day since the AC wasn't working in our room. When we got the new room AC worked the first 2 nights then it stopped and leaked ALOT by the time we got back to the room there was a huge mess. Convenient location to the beach, does not include breakfast at this hotel. And watch out there is a restaurant attached and as a hotel guest that does not guarantee you a parking spot. read more

Love this place. It's a 2 minute walk to the beach. Rooms are spacious. The beds are so comfortable. The customer service is awesome.

This quaint Inn by the beach is a great place to stay! It's literally right across the from the beach. A short walk is all it takes. There's a coffee shop on the ground level and a restaurant on the upper level. This visit we didn't get to go to either place, there's only so much to do in a short two days! We did however use the pool that was split into two levels. The view from the pool area was a very nice ocean view. The room we had was very spacious and clean. My only complaint was the sliding doors to the bathroom area. There isn't much privacy there, but that was okay since I was there with family! There was a gift on the bed waiting for us, which was some delicious bread on a cutting board with a note. This facility is also pet friendly! We brought our two small dogs with us. They have a designated dog walk on the property. The staff was super friendly. The front desk lady, Peggy(?) was so nice and helpful! While we were out, I remembered that I forgot to turn off and unplug my curling iron, so I called her and she went into our room to unplug it! Great customer service indeed. We would definitely book this location again! read more

My husband and I came to Destin for a last minute weekend trip. We drove around taking our chances and found this place. Absolutely loved this little motel and the easy access to the beach. Kellie at the front desk was very sweet, genuine, and helpful, loved her!! We stayed in the one king bedroom, it was very clean and updated. Motel is right across the street from the Destin beaches and motel has that beach themed decor. This place also has a little coffee shop and restaurant but unfortunately we didn't stay long enough to try it, but it smelled really good! I will definitely recommend this place to anyone and we will use this motel for all future Destin vacations!! :) read more

I stayed here while evacuated from Tyndall AFB. I was not very impressed. They have a restaurant attached and at night as they're closing the customers are very loud in the parking lot. Since nobody mans the office 24/7, they say to call the cops for noise complaints. In addition to that, the restaurant guests take up the parking, so if you arrive after 7pm finding parking can be difficult. I found my self having to park across the street in the dark, the valet was unsure if my car would be towed. To advertise themselves as "family friendly" I expected them to provide a crib or pack m play for my child. They referred me to rent one from an outside business for my stay. Also, I would absolutely not suggest any military on orders stay here. I needed an itemized receipt showing how much I was being charged by day. They only provide a total receipt, even after explaining my situation they refused to work with me. read more

First time & definitely a new spot for the coming years. The hotel is literally right across Crystal beach, Camille's restaurant is on the 2 floor and the cafe is on the 1st. The pool was excellent, 2 pools and a hot tub. Both pools are only 4 feet. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable! Small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, cable, wifi and a complimentary loaf of fresh blueberry or pineapple bread, which is delicious! Only issue can be parking in the evening, Camille's restaurant has valet parking in the same parking as the hotel, but they are quick to accommodate stay-in guest to avoid parking issues. Overall, HIGHLY recommend this hotel! Excellent location! read more

Friendly staff. Clean room. Convenient location. Overall very satisfied with the place. I would definitely come back again. When I first got there to check-in, the staff greeted me and was super helpful and friendly. Service during our entire stay was perfect. It was our first time staying here. It has plenty of amenities for you to enjoy. There is a pool and next to the pool is a restaurant which is situated on the second floor which is only open for dinner. Underneath the pool area is a cafe that serves breakfast and lunch. The cafe also has live music which was a nice plus. We stayed in an upstairs room which was a couple of rooms away from the restaurant. I had concerns about it being too close and within earshot of the restaurant but the rooms are relatively sound proof. I didnt hear much of anything except for when other guests were right outside our door. Which was a reason for 4 stars and not 5. Unfortunately you cant pick your neighbors and ours was rather obnoxious. They made it difficult for my fiance to sleep and she is a light sleeper. I do love that the Inn's policy is not to rent out to anyone under 25 but that doesn't necessarily exclude the late 20-something year olds who have not quite grown up yet. That aside the place is a wonderful little gem. It was right across from the beach and within driving distance of everything we needed and wanted to do. I feel like because of the time of year we went and their location it seemed tucked away from busy streets and loud passers-bys. It has a toaster, microwave, and mini fridge. The bed was super comfortable and when we did sleep, we slept well. We were surprised by a little welcome gift in a form of a breakfast bread which was delicious. This should be a 4 and half star rating and not a 4 star rating. I definitely plan on coming back. read more

This place is phenomenal. Incredibly affordable and the beach access is right across the street, so no need to worry about driving to the beach and having to deal with parking! Not to mention, the beach is very clean and there is plenty of space to set up your beach chairs. Chairs and umbrellas available for rental, but we just brought our own as it took only 2 minutes to get from beachside inn to the beach. Rooms are very clean and a fresh baked breakfast bread was waiting in our room when we arrived. Each room has a microwave, toaster, mini fridge, and coffee maker. We were able to make our own breakfast and pack a cooler to take lunch to the beach. We will definitely be staying here again! read more

I was pleasantly surprised with our room and this Inn. Everyone kept talking about the breakfast bread, so we had to stay! Actually, it was nice to have that tasty bread since we didn't arrive until late, and we wanted to sleep in a little bit the following day. There wasn't a sink near the refrigerator, for those that are particular about that. We used the bathroom sink, which was no big deal. We had a mini fridge, a microwave, a standard coffee maker and toaster - all great conveniences. The bathroom area was really nice. I love the tiled room compared to having carpets. We ate at Camille's the evening we arrived and it was a nice experience and the food was good. Harbor Docks is a sister restaurant that we also went to nearby which was delish. We never ate at the breakfast/sandwich shop on the lower level, though the choices looked appetizing and we saw that people from neighboring condos/hotels ate there. The Inn is basically on the beach - just a very small street away. We walked/jogged along the sidewalks/beach for two of the days we stayed and it was a beautiful area. Kellie, the Inn manager, was extremely knowledgeable of the area and helpful to whatever we needed. The pool was really neat how it was set up and you can see the beach from the top area of the two-story pool. The bicycle rental shop was closed when we were around, probably due to the weather. Great place. Great price. Great area. We will definitely go back. read more

Our stay and everything was absolutely perfect until we checked out and I accidentally left my medication in the freezer which included a brand-new bottle of insulin among other drugs that basically keep me alive. We made it back up there and hour after we checked out and the manager let me back in the room to check and of course all my medications were gone and all she had to say was " can't you just go get some more medicine" as anyone who takes medication knows that you can't just up and walk in the pharmacy and get new prescriptions especially when you just build them and I don't live anywhere near here so basically they're theiving maids ruined our vacation as we have to head home so I can go see my doctor and get new medicine! The manager didn't really seem to care at all I didn't even get an apology she really didn't even say anything I just walked out cussing under my breath because it took everythin The manager didn't really seem to care at all I didn't even get an apology she really didn't even say anything I just walked out. It's just really sad that people would do things like that especially since I pretty much need that medicine to survive. We liked the place so much that we were going to make it our new vacation spot but you could not pay me to stay in a place that you can't trust to leave your stuff in the room let alone a manager that doesn't care that I could die on the way home!!
