The property is well maintained. Maintenance staff friendly and helpful. Front desk staff not so much. The unit we stayed in was beautiful.

Failed to mention lazy river is closed, failed to mention breakfast buffet is no longer offered…read moreeven though both their website and AI chat say it is still active. Room smelled like dead fish. No soundproofing between rooms. Broken a/contests unit covered in nasty stuff. Cracked bathtub. Hairs and stains in bedding on arrival. Hairs in shower on the wall. Wifi was the worst I have ever encountered. 2MBP/s. Our mobile hotspot was way faster. I think our dial up was faster in 2004.. Surfaces and floor clearly weren't cleaned. Most likely for a long, long time judging by the inch+ or so of grime on them. Hotel staff did nothing to make it right. Active duty military, Valentine's Day weekend. We rarely get to take time for ourselves and this was HOURS of searching to choose this hotel. It's been a nightmare. Satisfaction guarantee? NOPE. Corporate said they can't do anything! People are also blatantly smoking marijuana in the hallway. Update: Tiki bar is also closed!! Restaurant refused to feed our kids claiming they ONLY served the $90 Valentine Special. The Restaurant was completely empty. Entire hotel was a ghost town. They were not "fully booked", they were only booking 2 floors because the rest were under construction. There were a maximum of 5 people in the restaurant morning, noon, and night. Indoor pool totally empty. Only saw one person outside by the fires, a single elderly woman. The place was abandoned despite advertising fully booked. I checked out 2 days early. Don't go here if you value your time at all. We called corporate and spoke to the manager downstairs. She told us only the general manager could do anything and he conveniently would not be there until the day we were scheduled to check out. Corporate told us only the general manager could do anything also and they could not, would not, do anything.

It previously had a buffet option, which has been limited now to a made to order breakfast. Still very good. However our bathroom definitely needed some upgrades. The bottom of the tub had stains in it and the toilet seat needed to be replaced. The hand soap and lotion dispenser was broken and needed to be replaced as well. Unfortunately, the WiFi was slow and only worked in certain areas of our room. The microwave had to be replaced twice because it stopped working initially (it was overheating and something was going on with the breaker) then the staff brought us another one that turned on but didn't warm up the food. So finally the 3rd microwave worked properly. Unfortunately, you do have to pay for breakfast ($18-$20), but if you stay at the Hilton Garden Inn next door, they have free breakfast.

Great for sunrise and sunset views. We received drink vouchers for the bar as well as breakfast voucher in their restaurant. The views are beautiful. The staff very pleasant and helpful. Since we are on the road for a few weeks we used their clean guest laundry room to do a quick wash & dry. With restaurant suggestions and sites to see. The pool and tiki bar is perfect for a tropical feel. Always a wonderful place to stay at Ft Walton.

I believe other hotels in the area charge for parking too. You don't have a choice because there is no street parking. Was here on a Friday evening before Christmas and was told they could give me an upgrade because they weren't that busy. I ordered my room in the app and had ordered a king bed. I was upgraded to 2 queen beds but it had an ocean front view. We had a room at the end of the hall, which was quiet. The room was clean and comfortable and we actually had a deck on the 6th floor. This was very nice. We did not visit the restaurant or use the pool but did stay until close to our 11 am check out time. We were going into a condo the next day so didn't have a lot of places to hang out at as our check in at the condo was 4 pm. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful and we appreciated the room facing the ocean with its own balcony. If needed, we would gladly stay here again.

I had a last minute get away. As a solo traveler, for this trip, I felt very safe at this hotel. One thing I truly appreciated was that the receptionist didn't announce what room I was in, once I told her I was by myself. There's a restaurant and bar downstairs. The area of the beach for hotel guest is nice. I believe I went at the start of the off season, August, so the beach was not over crowded. I can't imagine how busy it is during summer and spring break. It was perfect for a quiet quick getaway

The next morning I asked for room service to clean the room because our toddler got poop on the sheets and they forgot to do our room. I had to change our sheets and clean. It took 3 weeks to talk to a manager and they notified me there was nothing they could do for us. We've stayed here twice before and never experienced something this bizarre. Our family won't use Hilton services again.

Not a single employee in sight. I had to walk into the back office yelling for help like it ghost town In their office. I called and emailed every manager listed and absolutely NO response. after a few time walking behind the desk and in the back offices, I found the owner's personal number in the back office and called him. No answer. To top it off, there was NO WiFi, NO working TV channels, and the screen literally just said "OFF THE AIR." The place is falling apart and no one seems to care. Guests were walking in looking just as confused and abandoned as I felt. Not a single staff member around to assist anyone. This place shouldn't even be allowed to operate. It's a disgrace to hospitality. DO NOT STAY HERE under ANY circumstances. Spend your money literally anywhere else.

You have to remember it's not a 5 star or even 4 star resort. Atmosphere was great, people were friendly, food was what you would expect from 3 star resort. If you want to come be by the pool, lay on the beautiful beach, and have what you need for a few days then it's a great place. If you want to be waited on like a 5 star resort then this is not the place for you. The ONLY complaint we had was at check in being told that there was a $32.77 per day "amenities fee" that was non negotiable. When asked what we were paying for they said for use of their amenities. My advice is to just up your per night rate by $32.77 and include it all so it's not a surprise expense. We enjoyed having the beach accessible every morning and being close to shopping, restaurants, and the pier. We would stay again.

This place does offer a day pass, I would recommend staying elsewhere and just buying a day pass to hang out. Honestly, no one really pays attention and locals are constantly walking onto the property from the beach side and hanging out without day passes or wristbands. The good: Right on the beach Rooms that walk out to the pool or the beach/grass area Waterfall grotto pool 1 heated pool Multiple restaurants and bars Shoutout to the blonde bartender who always works evenings at Cabana Cantina Bar. She's fantastic! The bad: Rooms are awful. Filled with mold and mildew in the restrooms from the poorly designed showers Rooms are ready after the check in time attributing to hour long lines to check in. Rooms have busted tiles in bathrooms and floors The older rooms up front have no sound barrier and the doors when fully shut have light come around all 4 sides Rooms when are ready, are still dirty with unwashed/ unswept floors, showers, mirrors and dirty bedding, no cups for coffee, broken lamps. Management and communication between bookings do not align. Arrived once with no prior website or booking agent notification that the grotto pool was completely empty and down for renovations only when we arrived were there signs. No coffee shops but you can walk to the boardwalk for coffee. There is a room service QR code in all rooms, but they've never offered it during any of our stays.
