This was a our 1st visit to the area and will not be our last. I used a rental company and this…read morewas the resort we chose and so glad we did. The location was great, the room was amazing, the amentities were the best part. This is a great place for families as the many pools and water areas are so much fun. They have poolside activities like poolside movies. There is a small tiki bar with a small menu on site as well. They also offer umbrella/chair rentals on the beach in front of the resort. I can imagine without the construction project you have a better chance of walking to the nearby restaurants/attractions, but we opted to drive. The parking is gated as well as the pool areas.

Last year we came end of August so it wasn't as busy. This year we came 1st week of August and we still had a great stay. This is my one and only complaint. The chair saving at the pools. People will line up for the pool to open at 8am and we watched someone saved 8 chairs!! We were behind them and were at the pool all day and only 2 people used the chairs!! Meanwhile we watched families come down as a whole, having to place their things under palm trees and bushes. We also had a table and chairs next to us with a pool noodle, and an empty bag on it to "save it". No one ever showed up to sit down, but I saw a family come through the gate from the beach, decided not to use it today and grabbed their things and leave. I understand the wanting to save chairs so you've got it! But I find it dis-heartening to see people take advantage of it and not even use the chairs your saving. I wish they would either enforce a no save for later policy, or limit the amount of chairs you can save per unit. That's my only complaint. Other than that. It's a blast to be here.

You have sand, humidity, age, and stains everywhere - recipe for disaster in terms of this carpet. I hated having to wear shoes inside our room due to being grossed out. While in the bedroom, i had a cockroach crawl over my foot, and I was incredibly disgusted. The facility is obviously older, but the carpet situation needs to be addressed for sanitary reasons. Other than that, great beach access, and private chairs/umbrella are provided. Helpful staff, and great balcony view. Everything else was clean.

My family has been going to these condominiums since we first started vacationing to Destin in…read more1997. Throughout the years I've stayed in almost every condo on the first floor, and 209 and 211 on the second floor. Every time it has been wonderful. Check in is at 4, which is kind of late. But if you show up early and your room has already been cleaned and inspected they will almost always allow you in. The front desk staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I've never had a bad experience with them. They always greet you with a smile and are super kind. Almost every condo has a king size bed, 2 bunk beds, and a pull out couch, so you can easily fit 6 comfortably. There is a full kitchen with cookware, 2 bathrooms, and one shower. From the living area there's a back porch that overlooks the gorgeous powder white sand and emerald coast. You're provided with 2 chairs and an umbrella. On the first day you go to the beach you can reserve your spot for the week so I would recommend getting to the beach early the first morning. There's also a pool and hot tub in the complex for when you need a break from the beach. One huge plus of staying here is that there is only 3 stories. The beach area behind Destin Beach Club is reserved for only residents so the beach is never overly crowded at this condo. Since you're right on scenic highway 98, you're close to everything there is to see and do in Destin. There's a plethora of restaurants, souvenir shops, and shops. You're also right next to the Destin harbor and all the new things it has to offer. Because of the great staff, amenities, view, and less crowded beach area, I would definitely recommend Destin beach club to anybody who is traveling down to Destin. Absolutely love this place, so many happy memories. Can't wait to be back!

Here for a week for a family gathering…read more Great location. The boardwalk is about a mile long or so from the bridge end, which is where the hotel resort is located at. Got a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom presidential suite room. The master bedroom and attached bathroom are quite big, the second bedroom is decently sized and also has an attached bathroom. The 3rd bedroom is closest to the room door, it's smaller, as is the smaller. The staff are friendly and helpful. The common balconies here are nice and there's an elevator to the boardwalk too from the pool level or Grand View. The room is a food place for 3-5 folks, a bit tight with more than 5 or 6 people in my opinion though. The concert and many events are on the board walk. There is an oyster event on Sunday for Veteran's day, but we will miss that event. The master bedroom is the best living area, has its own private balcony from the main balcony that's accessible from the kitchen or living room / den area and second bedroom too. The larger balcony is a L- shaped. The kitchen looks big, but it gets tight even with two people using it and getting through the galley. Besides the check-in and check-out, we didn't have much interaction with the staff, but the little we had was good. The views from the room were great! Lots of wonderful pics of the bay and the Gulf of Mexico from the balcony and of all of the boats passing through the East Pass to the Gulf.

They charge you for any housekeeping and don't allow you (for safety reasons) to borrow a mop etc. bring your own cleaning materials. It's obvious people don't cook because the cookware is awful! The room wasn't as clean as it should've been when we arrived, despite smelling clean. Our feet turned black and we do not wear shoes in the room- they come off at the door. The pictures give you a false impression that the resort is on the beach. It's not. In fact, it's located in the most touristy area of Destin and you have to take a shuttle to get to a beach or drive. The hotel beach is a joke. No restroom, no waves- just sand and sea water. There a significantly nicer beaches and water just a few minutes drive away. The Wyndham. It's standard for them to chase you down to attend a meeting, but the rewards are minimal. The pool- that's a joke too. Constantly dirty. Why? Because it's entirely too small for the vast hotel. There are not enough chairs. Towels- they give you a card to exchange for a towel. Lose it and it cost you $25. This doesn't scream luxury, more like cheap! At night you hear the party people down below. Here's what we liked. Our room. We had a 3 bedroom and despite finding someone's fake nail and candy wrappers, it was spacious with an incredible patio. Our view was perfect for the fireworks. Will we stay again- nope. Would we come again to this part of Florida, perhaps because the beaches- Miramar beach and Henderson state park beach were unbelievable! We would pay rather than stay here again. Wyndham- do better.
