I love staying here! Try getting a room on the lake. The views are amazing. And we had the windows open all of the time to listen to the waves. So relaxing. The owners are super friendly. Our room was very clean with comfortable beds and linens. I slept great! The grounds are so cute. At night there are two places to relax. A gas fire ring and a fire on the beach. It is so quiet unless you are chatting with other guests which is fun. I have only stayed here in the fall so I am not sure about the pool. I highly recommend this hotel. read more

I loved everything about this place! We had a fabulous view from our room on the second floor. It had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker. With Wolfgang Puck coffee. The king size bed was comfortable with crisp linens. The bathroom was updated with a new light fixture and grab bars in the shower/tub. Plenty of power outlets and a huge tv. There was a fire in the fire pit on the beach with comfortable chairs around. S'mores kits are available! We enjoyed the sound of the waves and watching the birds. Breakfast in the morning was filling with lots of choices! I bought one of their coffee mugs to take home. The staff was so kind and helpful! read more

Super quaint lodging in an awesome location! I felt like I was in Maine (or how I imagine Maine would be!). We traveled with our mid-size dog and they had a doggie bag filled with treats and a ball in addition to a towel and extra sheet cover for the bed. They thought of everything! We called to book the room and they were very nice and accommodating. The receptionist was very kind as well. They didn't have plexiglass at the front desk, but they wore masks and have an upgraded cleaning regimen. We had a very nice view that was right on the water, and the rooms are in the process of updating the hotel with brand new beds, tvs and bathrooms. They use mechanical keys (not key cards), and have continental breakfast served in the morning. Ideal location with walking distance to restaurants and downtown. Plenty of parking. Beautiful views and is a perfect getaway spot, and there are tons of attractions listed on their website for you to check out. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Let me begin by saying that we booked this hotel 7 months ago, because we wanted to bring our dog with us. This place says that it is pet friendly. Well that's a lie! We booked thru booking.com and we looked maybe this place has any pet size restrictions or anything it didn't. We also requested a first floor. Now when we were ready to leave for our vacation we received an email from the motel saying that pets are allowed by request only. On their website and on booking.com says that this place is pet friendly, however they only allow pets on the first floor which we requested and they assigned our room on the second floor. Long story short I called and they said that they can' t do anything about it and I will not get my money back, so they charged for one night. The least they could do to is to fully refund my stay since this place was advertised incorrect. Anyways if you are going to book a room at Beachfront Inn and want to bring an animal make sure you call first and ask them, because their policies are confusing to say the least, or better yet book elsewhere. read more

We stayed here the end of September for 2 nights. Great location. We had a first floor room with large windows, so a beautiful view of the lake. This is a dog friendly hotel. Very nice continental breakfast. All the employees we encountered we very friendly. Our room was very clean , and appears to have been recently updated. They have kayaks for use. Also a nice beach area for grilling . Also a large fire pit. Walk to many restaurants. read more

What a wonderful place for a dog-friendly mini-moon! We came straight up from our wedding weekend and it was just perfect. The rooms are simple but they have everything you need. The best part of this place, though, is the private dog-friendly beach. Our big guy was over the moon getting to run around off-leash and swim for hours at a time. We were also given a gift bag with treats, a dog toy, and a comprehensive list of dog-friendly restaurants and attractions. Every place we visited on the list was excellent, and coming back to the inn and enjoying a nightcap next to a bonfire on the beach was the perfect cherry on top. We'll be back next year! read more

Lovely little motel with beautiful beachfront views. Several great restaurants and a coffee shop within close walking distance. Certain rooms allow you to bring your dog and they were kind enough to provide old towels to wipe my pup's paws after hiking all day. If you need to exercise your dog off-leash, there is a fenced-in dog park less than a mile from the motel. Continental breakfast is available in the morning, as well as beer/wine available for purchase. There is a nice little porch (as well as many other seating options in other areas) to enjoy your drink or relax with a book. Every staff member has been delightful and we will definitely be staying here again in the future :) read more

We stayed here this past weekend over Memorial Day. Don't normally stay in a hotel when we're in DC b/c we usually stay at my in-laws place, but we did this past weekend. We chose Beachfont b/c of the indoor pool for the kids in case the weather was bad. Plus we liked the location. We were lucky to get the suite -- the room was huge and the view off the balcony over the water was great. The owners were great with our kids and didn't mind them constantly hanging out in the lobby petting the dogs. They have a little beach in the back with toys for kids to play with and a firepit that has a fire going every night. Our kids loved the pool as well. Next time we need a hotel room when we're in DC, I'd definately stay here again. read more

Loved it here! Highly, highly recommend!! We stayed at Beachfront Inn over Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful experience. First off, it is dog friendly so we were able to bring our dog and have him stay with us. The rooms were clean and we enjoyed the daily continental breakfast. We LOVED the dog friendly outdoor beach area with firepit and the adirondack chairs. One night we grilled out on their bbq put and sat around the firepit with the other hotel customers and their dogs. It was a really nice experience. Gotta love a beach firepit!! Beachfront Inn is also close to many restaurants and bars including Door County Brewing Co. Very convenient! Overall, we thought this Inn was ideal and we will definitely returning as soon as possible! I also have to add how GREATLY APPRECIATIVE I am to Tammy, the Beachfront Inn owner, and her staff. Tammy was of course very friendly and helpful during our stay but I just have to express how grateful I am to her. Upon returning back home, I realized that I couldn't find my case of jewelry. I was very panicked so my husband emailed Tammy to see if I accidentally left it in our room. Tammy emailed back and informed us that her staff had found it and she would immediately mail it to us. We loved this inn! Right outside your window is a beautiful view of the beach, open windows at night to enjoy the beach sound. The place is dog friendly, so my husband was worried it might smell like dog, it didn't. The place was clean and refreshing. They even provide plastic wine glasses you can take to the beach at night when you enjoy their nightly fire pit on the beach. Great atmosphere. Can't say enough about how much we loved it! read more

Also a pool if you don't like the sand. We have stayed here many times. They have new owners this year that seem to have the same goals as the prior owners. Wonderful! My favorite place to be. In traveling around the world, nothing is more peaceful and fun than Door County, and staying at the Beachfront Inn is the way to go. I love Bailey's Harbor, the "quiet side." The beach is perfect. It is a lovely view, it has a great fire pit and is the perfect place to come home to on vacation. I initially came here because they allow dogs, but even without dogs, it is a great place to stay. There are specific dog friendly rooms, but even so, the rooms are perfectly clean every time I visit. The bedding, beds, colors and everything about the place feels like home. It's very basic, but that's fine with me! There is now a free continental breakfast, (not free) beer and wine, and is walking distance to great food too. It's walking distance from the Ridges Sanctuary, which is absolutely beautiful - my favorite hike in Door. The heated pool is great. Every time I go (must be around eight times now), something is new or improved. Reasonably priced to boot. Oh, and the dog treat bags are a nice treat. I could go on... :) read more

Our family just spent the weekend at this amazing place. We brought our puppy along as well. All of the employees are just fantastic!!! They were so accommodating and helped so much with our little puppy. Couldn't have asked for a better location, it's so cute and clean! Our daughter begged us to stay another night! We were lucky they had another room available for us to enjoy for a third night. They even moved our bags from one room to the next! If you looking for a pet friendly, peaceful, relaxing, clean and fun place this is it. We are already looking at when we can go back. I have to give the Beachfront 5 stars for several reasons. We visited in early May, so we could not enjoy all the benefits, but it is right on the water with beautiful views and sounds of the lake. There is a nice beach, and waterfront gathering area and a big outdoor pool for when the weather warms up. Our room was nice, very clean, a little on the small side if you are planning to stay for more than a night or 2. There is a free continental breakfast from 7-9 and deck overlooking the lake to sit and enjoy your morning meal and coffee. The owners, Tammy and Terry are terrific hosts. Here's why. I had us booked for 4 nights. Unfortunately our visit coincided with the mayfly/lakefly hatch, and they were everywhere. Mosquito-sized and harmless, but really annoying. The owners were more than understanding that we might not want to stay, due to the flies. So we checked out after 1 night, but we'd love to come back to this excellent inn when the weather is warmer and the bugs aren't a-swarmin'. read more

Absolutely loved that we could bring our dog Mila with us. The room was very nice, large TV nice bed. It was really convenient having breakfast on site. Staff was very nice. The only thing I'd recommend ( can't fix it if you don't know) is to purchase a roomba vacuum for under the bed. Dog hair doesn't bother me but it would make for a cleaner space if a vacuum could get under the entire bed. We will definitely be back!!! read more

Stayed here over busy 4th of July holiday. Booked online after hours of searching waterfront inns and lodges. Just kinda gave up and said screw it! This place! The owner was super friendly on the phone, gave us great directions, and the rates were inexpensive. Then we looked at street view on google maps and said "oh crap... what did we just do?" When we got here though, were pleasantly surprised. The place is clean, staff and other patrons were super friendly. Room was small but clean, maidservice was punctual and orderly. The pool area was also very clean and approachable. Nice view of Bailey's harbor from our room. The beachfront area with the campfire was a cool little spot to hang out at night and chat with other vacationers. Recommend highly if you have a lot of stuff planned to do outside the hotel and just need a clean place to sleep that's not that expensive. Dog-friendly as well. read more

We just returned from a five-day stay at the Beachfront Inn. It was our first time staying there, but we will definitely be back. Even though our room (114) didn't face the lake, it had recently been updated and we loved it. It was clean and comfortable and had plenty of room for our family and our dog. The kids loved the heated outdoor pool and made use of it every day. We also loved the nightly bonfire. It's really the little things that many places overlook that earn the Beachfront the five stars, from the doggy treats and list of dog-friendly places in the area to the outdoor pool toys to starting up the bonfire each night, it was all great. We stayed here three years ago with our pup and had a great time. They had dog treats for Oz, lots of suggestions for what to do in the area and we loved our lake view. This year we went back again this time with the pup and the baby. We always go just before the season starts to relax and enjoy the quiet and it really worked to our advantage! The rates were already incredible, but they upgraded our room and we had a side view of the lake, two queen beds, flat screen tv, dinette set, sofa and basically PLENTY of space for all of us. It was the perfect place to retreat to when we were exhausted at the end of the day, to eat our take, drink our local beer and sit by the window rocking the baby in the easy chair rocker showing her the lake. They are as nice as ever and we couldn't ask for a better place to stay. An easy drive to everywhere around and some good food close by as well. read more

Had an amazing experience here right at the start of their season. As soon as we got there Tammy gave us a map and wrote down all of the great local places we might want to check out (we took her suggestions and they were all perfect). We had a slight issue with the TV when we first arrived (which was understandable as we got there on the first day they were open for the year and the TV was brand new) and they had someone bring in a new tv and cable box right away. They even reduced our charges due to the very minor mishap. They had a continental breakfast included each morning which was great, and they started a fire for us on the beach at night. All in all the owners genuinely care about your experience with them and I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in door county. Oh and try their sauces! read more

She provides a continental breakfast and good advice. The Inn is in a great location with restaurants and bars a short distance away. The properly itself has both benefits of a beach with fire pit and a pool. I would highly recommend. Next time I'm here outside of comfortable camping weather I will be staying here! We booked a completely spur of the moment trip during the off-season, so it was pretty cold and quiet all around. But we were very happy with the accommodations and the service. The rates were very reasonable. The owners are welcoming and happy to recommend restaurants and activities. It used to be a basic road-side motel but has been rehabbed a bit and feels a little more homey. We had a suite, which was very nice. The walls are thin, so I could see that being inconvenient in peak-season, but we didn't really have any issues. It's right on the lake and the owners have bonfires on the beach after dark, which is such a great way to spend your vacation nights. There's also a pool for the warmer months. It's in walking distance to everything in Bailey's Harbor (which is not much - and I mean that in a good way!) and a short jaunt to pretty much anywhere else you'd want to go . Our Room was very clean newly painted and we were so happy we could bring our dog with us. The owners were so friendly and very helpful. The beach front is pretty and they have fire pits on the beach and gas grills to use. They have a pool as well. Our package was for 2 nights Friday and Saturday at 129.99 per night. We also received a free national park pass for one day which we went hiking and a $50 gift certificate to a nice french restaurant along with another $25 gift certificate to use any where in door county. Bring deep woods off for mosquitos and ticks. The mosquitoes were insane there. read more

Traveled all the way from Alabama to attend a wedding in beautiful Bailey's Harbor and chose to stay at Beachfront Inn. We were very satisfied with our stay and hope to return someday!! We loved the casual atmosphere and being able to buy local beer and wine at the desk and relax on the deck or the beach. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Being able to look out our window at the lake was wonderful. We loved the dog friendly aspect as we are "dog people," and would have gladly brought ours if we had not traveled by plane. The dogs that were there, were playing on the beach with each other. It's a perfect vacation for owner and dog. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.
