They didn't allow us to to play And then they said that we have to register into the system like I'm not going back to this place ever again neither am I going to any community centre like here's the thing I want to go play volleyball but here's the thing that's the only thing they don't allow terrible experience if I could give a zero star I would.

I love the concept of STEM and Wooden build stations here, with enough room for a jungle gym on the other side. So much potential of creativity like a science centre; but it gets a bit crazy with how some kids chose to play. This is the closest idea to Rochester's Strong Museum in GTA. There's a small toddler area for under 3. The play area is separated by a baby gate with a pull lock at the front desk so kids are all contained. The check in area can get very crowded and loud, especially as they're trying to explain rules, waivers, payment. The tables for snacking/adults have comfy chairs but are also taken up quickly. Lots of snacks and bottled drinks for sale at decent prices. Coffee and espresso beverages come from a machine that currently offers only milk, and only one shot of milk for your coffee . So if you need cream for your coffee check first as was not ready at my visit. So a small flat white was $5.75, but they offer free flavour syrup shots. Sensory sensitivity: Loudness was pretty high. Between music at the stem station, clashing and dropping of toys, the huge light bright tubes, it was hard to have conversations. If your child cannot tolerate it bring headphones. Tips: -Read the long rules first! -Bring your own grip socks(mandatory here for $3/x) -Adults must be in socks no shoes allowed past foyer, bring your own slippers -No charging areas for your electronics(yet..) Really fun place, kids had a blast with their friends. Staff kept the place tidy and vacuumed crumbs often. Will visit again.

They also run summer/ March break sporting camps (tennis, basketball). This centre also features a play place in a room with really high ceilings - includes a small play structure and some kids toys throughout. There is a small sensory room that is always supervised. A large library with private study rooms available for booking. The pool is so spacious and bright! Large pool available for lane swim and a decent size kid pool. There is also a waterslide and small splash pad that isn't always in use/ turned on. The onsite gym isn't the largest but has decent equipment and a nice large 3 lane track (slow, medium, fast) that overlooks the gymnasium from above. Parking garage has been under construction for years. It also doesn't connect to the rec centre directly during this time of construction/ sometimes the elevator is not operational which is inconvenient especially in the winter when you have to exit the parking garage only to walk a few meters to enter the rec centre.

This is our closest community centre to where we live and we just love it. The Library has some nice comfortable sofa's but also tables with comfy chairs where you can set up your laptop with I believe free Wifi. The south facing wall is all windows and that is also where most of the sofas are situated for reading. They have a beautiful pool with a nice big slide, family change room and the life guards are very nice and friendly. They take good care of the shallow "baby pool" and make sure no rowdy kids go through there. I find they could offer a better pool schedule in terms of keep the baby pool more often open. I haven't used the rest of the facility like the fitness center etc.

It isn't as big as most indoor playgrounds, but there was enough fun things to do for both my girls to wonder around and play (4 year old and 21 month old). I love that they have a little cafe right in front of the entrance, and I got myself a matcha latte and mr. Tran a matcha espresso latte I believe. Both drinks were actually good as I thought it would be watered down. Service is TOP NOTCH and cleanliness of this place surprised me, there were workers always vacuuming around constantly and cleaning up the toys at all times. Though the price is a little steep, but you get 3 hours of play time vs 2 hours at most indoor playgrounds. Will be back!

As a parent who cares deeply about the well-being of my children and other families in the community, I feel obligated to raise these issues publicly because the current conditions may place visitors, especially children, at risk. My first concern is the parking and traffic management outside the center. During the event, there were far more visitors than available parking spaces. As a result, vehicles were parked improperly, including along main walking routes used by families and children. This created congestion and confusion. Even more concerning, several drivers were moving through the area at unsafe speeds while children were walking between the entrance and driveway. I personally witnessed situations where children appeared close to being struck by passing vehicles. There were no visible staff members outside to direct traffic, no temporary traffic control measures, and no clear signage to guide drivers. In addition, some corners of the parking area have poor visibility, making it difficult for drivers to see pedestrians approaching. Installing convex safety mirrors at blind corners would significantly improve visibility and reduce the risk of accidents. Without immediate improvements, the site appears vulnerable to a serious incident. My second concern is overcrowding inside the building. Once inside, the center was extremely crowded, with little visible organization or crowd control. There did not appear to be anyone monitoring the number of attendees or guiding visitors. This raised concerns about emergency preparedness and fire safety. In the event of an evacuation or emergency, it is unclear how people would exit quickly and safely. A busy public venue should have clear occupancy controls, proper supervision, and emergency planning procedures in place at all times. Another issue was the lack of attentiveness from staff at the information desk. I observed a young staff member focused on a cellphone while visitors around him appeared confused and in need of assistance. At a time when many guests required guidance, staff should be actively engaged, approachable, and available to help. Public-facing employees should understand that they represent the center and are often the first point of contact for visitors. Most disappointing was an interaction with a staff member identified as Eva. I politely asked for information about the event, but her response was dismissive and unfriendly. She stated that the activity was run by another group and was "not her business," then told me to ask them myself. Regardless of which organization was hosting the event, staff on duty inside the center should respond respectfully and make reasonable efforts to assist visitors. Basic courtesy, patience, and professionalism are expected in any community facility. Overall, I am disappointed that such an important community center appears to prioritize attendance numbers over safety and visitor experience. I strongly urge management to address the following issues immediately: improve parking and traffic control, install mirrors at blind corners, review occupancy and fire safety procedures, ensure staff remain attentive while on duty, and provide customer service training for employees.

105 Gibson Centre is a community centre owned by a Christian church. It doesn't look very big from…read morethe outside, but it's quite spacious inside. Parking is along the outside perimeter of the building and fills up quickly if there's an event. I was only in the open area (room 108, which is 2,340 square feet) and the kitchen (room 109) for an event. It didn't start off well when we arrived. The tables and chairs were supposed to already be set up, but they weren't. This delayed the opening of the event. Since it's an open area, people using other parts of the centre may wander into the space. The kitchen was a big space with multiple sinks, fridges, ovens, a flattop grill, and stoves with a large island. Two things that were a bummer were that the dishwasher did not work and that there was water dripping from the ceiling vent, which worsened when it started raining outside.
