It's on the second floor of the building and houses numerous play structures and stations. For example, a train table, slides, a pretend stage with instruments, art station, massive sandbox etc. everything is clean and safe for kids including babies and toddlers. Everything is contained so they can't escape without being seen. All the kids were kept entertained for hours. For the parents, there is a comfortable sitting area including work stations if you want to bring a computer. The cafe appeals to parents and kids alike. They have all the favourite kid snacks and hot and cold drinks for adults. I had the butterfly pea lemonade and it was refreshing. It is on the pricier side and both adults and kids (aged 1 and up) have an entry fee. However, the quality of the activities does justify the price. Staff are professional. Instructions are clear. Kids are entertained. Definitely an appreciated place within our community!

Choosing Westbrook Montessori was hands down one of the best decisions we have ever made for our…read moredaughter. From day one, we felt welcomed, supported, and truly treated like family. The love, care, and dedication that the teachers and staff show every single child is something very special and increasingly rare to find. This is so much more than a school--it's a community. Every child is genuinely known, valued, and encouraged to thrive in their own unique way. The staff go above and beyond to ensure each child feels safe, confident, loved, and excited to learn. Their passion for what they do shines through in every interaction. The growth we have seen in our daughter has been incredible. Not only has she developed academically, but they have also grown in confidence, independence, kindness, and social skills. As parents, there is no greater comfort than knowing your child is spending their days in an environment where they are truly cared for. What makes this Montessori exceptional is its unwavering focus on the children. Every decision, every activity, and every interaction is centered around helping the children succeed and feel supported. The teachers have become trusted mentors and role models, and the relationships they build with the children are genuine and meaningful. We are beyond grateful for everything this Montessori has done for our family. The memories, friendships, and foundation they have helped create will last a lifetime. We cannot say enough wonderful things about this school and would recommend it without hesitation to any family looking for a nurturing, caring, and truly outstanding Montessori experience. Special shoutout to Riz the director, for creating such an amazing atmosphere

The school has a warm family feel, so our children adjusted very easily. The teachers are great, and work closely with the students to help them achieve their full potential. My daughter graduated from the Casa (senior kindergarten) program in June, reading at a grade 2 level and had been introduced to grade 3 mathematics concepts. In September, she entered into a grade one French immersion program. Because Westbrook also introduces the kids to French, it has been a very easy transition for her. She took with her the drive for learning, and has progressed to reading chapter books, and writing her own stories. My son, loves Westbrook and shows a very keen interest in school. At 3, he's already recognizing short words, and enjoys books and counting. His learning style is very different from his sister's, but the teachers work with him in a way that works for him. Because it's a family oriented school, the Principal there, is very open and fair with the students and parents. As a parent, there's nothing like sending your to school knowing that they are safe and happy. My husband and I have been extremely happy with Westbrook, and always recommend it to friends and family who are looking for a great school for their children.

I have been coming here with my little ones (infants) for over 5 months now. Here are some reasons this place impresses me so much: -brand new location - new furniture, mats; -staff - the regular staff members are very experienced with babies and kids. Trustworthy. Positive people, who are working in a field that suits them well. Some others are adult nursing or early childhood educator students, who are interested in gaining practical experience with all kids. They are all Helpful, and the ones who work there regularly are ALL quite welcoming - to both you and your kids. Genuinely so, it's always seemed; -cleanliness level is high - mats and toys are disinfected regularly. I don't see dust when I visit there. Who doesn't want clean clean clean shining back at you? -welcoming - in how they greet both your kids and you (other parents have noticed this, as well), and also you can help yourself to any tea or coffee (if available) in the nearby kitchen; -circle time - is fun. Songs and rhymes for babies and toddlers; -generous space - one entire room is usually reserved for infants, the other for toddlers; -scent-free place, it seems. Relief! -free workshops (about caring and raising for our children) are offered at this site; -organized. This location has systems in place. A specific place to park and sometimes even lock your stroller. Extra caregivers or staff members are always visible and identified by badges (and by the fact that you'll be approached or offered help); -finally, Support. I'm humbled by how much Support I've received from this place. It's not the closest drop-in to me, but it's got to be my favourite one. I can not rave about this place enough. Non-judgmental, I feel like I can ask them any questions about child-rearing. I feel quite comfortable at this location.

There are some differences between the programs outlined on the website and how the classes are structured (ages in each classroom didn't match when our child was there), as well as some closures on days other than stat holidays. There is little communication between the administration and parents, which is frustrating when changes are taking place (e.g. teachers moving classrooms, upcoming closures), or there are events that parents could participate in (e.g. bake sales).

They had an vested interest in our success and instilled a sense of hard work and fun into our education. When our son was to start JK this past year we looked at a number of public and private schools to find something that mirrored our experience. We were very lucky to have stumbled upon Olivet. The sense of community, strong emphasis on being a good kind person, small class size and importance placed on outdoor learning had our attention. We went for a tour and were welcomed with open arms. In a city like Toronto and the large class sizes in our public schools with so much attention in "checking" boxes and treating all children the same we were very happy and impressed with the culture and principles practised at Olivet. I strongly encourage any family contemplating an alternative to public school to invest the time to tour Olivet. We are very happy with our decision and our daughter will be attending once it is her turn.
