Just stayed at the Beachcomber house in Seaside Oregon - what a beautiful house! - Located just a few blocks from Broadway, and about 3 houses down from the ocean (you can hear the ocean if you open the window at night...) There were 5 of us, the house accommodates up to 6 - A little bbq on the deck, plenty of parking, everything you need to cook a great meal... full and large kitchen, new appliances, satellite tv, clean - perfect! - I'd rent here again for sure!

As others have said, you're paying for the view. However, personally, I have not felt welcome here,…read moreand I also observe that many of the stated amenities or "perks" are not available, not working, or just not.....it's been death by a thousand cuts for me, and it's on top of the multiple racial micro aggressions I've experienced in this town in less than 24 hours. 1. Upon arrival to check-in, I observed one person at the reception desk being helped by the sole staff member, plus several folks hanging out in the lobby. After checking that no one else was waiting, I sat down to wait. They all left and I was the only person waiting. Of course, a white woman strolled right up to the desk from outside just as the other guest left, and instead of telling her I was there first, or even acknowledging me at all, the white staff person just helped her. 2. They say that pets names are on a welcome board when you arrive. My dog's name was not there and the board was tucked away against a wall. 3. I'm traveling alone with a dog, so I unload everything before bringing my dog into the room. After lugging everything to the door, my key cards did not work. When I went back to reception, there was no apology, or anything about accountability. Simply "oh let me fix that." 4. The room says that the TV is equipped with AppleTV, and even has a special button for it. Does not actually work. 5. They say they provided cookies in the lobby between 4-6pm. I checked in just after 4pm and there were none. 6. I took my dog out to sightsee and when we same back, again with my hands full, the key cards did not work again. So, I have to leave my belongings at the door, and run to the lobby with my dog in tow, to get the fixed AGAIN. funny how that happened again. 7. When we did open the door to the room the first few times, the smell of "old lady perfume" was so strong. I asked the front desk if that was intentional and she said it must be a cleaning product. It is way too strong and I can still smell it on day 2, even after airing the room out as much as possible. 8. The shower head is covered with lime, and the spray options do not all fully function due to how clogged the shower head is. 9. The bedding is way too light for the climate. So then you run the heater, and get too hot in the night. 10. The outdated fridge runs loudly at random times in the night. I'm on a long road trip with my dog as we move to Canada, and we've been on the road for 2 weeks and been to 5 states. I decided to splash out on this hotel because I'm a huge Goonies fan, and my dog loves the beach. Overall, I'm disappointed and I'd say this hotel is not worth it at all. I will not stay here again. For this amount of $$$, plus dog fees for me, this value is abysmal.

I would highly recommend staying here. Don't miss the cookies offered around 3:30. They're absolutely delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful and attentive! The check in cookies were yummy and we appreciated the local beer and seltzer as our check in drinks. We splurged and went with the king bedroom with the water view. The rooms were clean and extremely spacious. The view and the sounds of the waves were dreamy. We didn't get a chance to use the pool/hot tub. The resort is close to pretty much everything, we walked to nearly everything we wanted to see in can in beach. We ate at pelican brewing which was great and walkable. Can't wait to come back!!

This meal came after a surprise engagement for my girlfriend so I had high hopes and they delivered. We were greeted with a lovely glass of champagne and also received some specialty bon bons to end the meal. Starting with the venue itself, the restaurant is situated on the second floor of the restaurant in a quaint dining room. I was honestly a little surprised as I had assumed the restaurant was bigger but none the less it was a nice space. There's a kitchen near the entrance which is cool to see. The service itself was fantastic. They were welcoming and kind and fast to address any question or request. I also noticed they did a great job pacing as there would be times where other tables finished courses before we did but they still waited on our conversation to then clear and serve us the following dish. Now to the food. It was so delicious. I'll be honest that when I saw the menu in comparison to the prior night I got a little worried as the first two dishes I saw, crab and a mushroom soup were not something I would typically order at a restaurant. That being said...they were both incredible. The flavors and care that went into each dish was incredible. Great restaurants make items you may not typically like taste fantastic and this is a testament to the chef. We were loving all parts of the meal and it was an amazing dinner and evening to share. The bread and butter by itself were so amazing. It was such a lovely evening and thank you for making it so special for us. Would definitely come back if you're celebrating a big milestone!

We booked our stay just a few days before our arrival and I was lucky enough to secure an oceanfront fire pit room (there are only 4 on the property). As I reviewed the many advertised amenities on the website, I started to anticipate a great stay. On our check-in day my husband and I arrived around 2pm and were immediately greeted by friendly and helpful staff. We decided to wait in the library/lobby area for our room to be ready. The library has incredible views of the ocean and Haystack Rock, comfortable seating and is located just off the lobby where there are refreshments (water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, freshly baked cookies, muffins and scones), as well as books, puzzles and games. When our room was ready we were given welcome drinks (sparkling wine with blueberry purée), helped with our bags and given a tour of the room and the grounds. It was during this tour that we realized that the property and room came with many more amenities than we anticipated! Such as: complimentary car wash, chocolate tasting, shuttle to/from downtown, in room snacks & beverages and a S'more's kit for our fire pit. The room and property provided everything we could want for a relaxing stay. During our two-night stay we enjoyed the cocktail hour which included drinks & appetizers, a good nightcap which included cocktails, nuts & chocolate covered cherries, breakfast in the dining room (buffet style with made to order items), a Ranger chocolate tasting with the chef, dinner in the dining room, listening to the ocean by our fire pit, watching the waves and the bunnies from our patio and yes, we also took advantage of the complimentary car wash (hand washed at that)! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, the grounds and room were well maintained and comfortable, the food & drinks were delicious and the amenities were thoughtfully curated and delivered. We wanted for nothing except to stay longer!

On our latest trip to the coast, we bypassed hotels and decided to rent a home for our group. There…read moreare hundreds of places to choose from once we narrowed our search to Cannon Beach and photos and descriptions on the internet only give part of the story. So a number of months ago, my mother started the process of finding just the right place for our family gathering. She gave this rental agency very high marks and we ended up renting through them. They absolutely went the extra mile and since we were booking so far in advance, gave us a map and let us tour a few properties that weren't currently occupied. You start to notice things not on the rental listing, like parking issues, construction next door and is the view as good as it seems... Once you saw the options in person, the choice was clear. The actual stay went very smoothly and everything they promised was delivered. I would definitely use them again for another getaway to Cannon Beach.

We have rented from CBVR for many years and have typically had a good experience. Things have gone…read moreconsistently downhill. In the middle of the pandemic we arrived for a week long rental to find that despite claiming extensive cleaning between guests we arrived to find the home had not been thoroughly cleaned. Their solution was to bring us cleaning supplies to clean the unit ourselves. I believe they did give us some credit on the cleaning fee however if I wanted to clean a home while on vacation I would have stayed home and cleaned mine and not paid to clean someone else's. This year we rented the same house, and I have to say that the house is lovely, is fully stocked, is one house from the beach but still has a beautiful view. It is on a busy dead end with lots of traffic. Unfortunately we have had a number of issues this visit. First, due to several large and unexpected expenses prior to our trip I had asked their staff member John to hold off on my final payment until payday. John agreed and provided this agreement in writing, however the company took the payment on the original date anyways. They did correct it, but over 6 days later even though Kathy had promised it would be fixed the following morning after I contacted them. Arriving at our rental we find that there is construction being done next door. We have had to listen to hammering and sawing and drilling and whatever else is going on over there the entire visit. CBVR didn't find it necessary to notify us. They claimed to have not known about the construction. Despite having rented from CBVR before, and have always brought a service animal with me (PTSD dog due to being a felony crime victim), they seem to suddenly have an issue with this. Today is day 6 of my rental and this morning a neighbor had their dog off leash and when I asked them to hold onto their dog so that it wouldn't approach us the neighbor became upset about it. Not long after I received a phone call from Kathy at CBVR who reported that they "had noticed" that I had a dog at the unit and had not paid the pet fee. I reminded Kathy that I have always had a service animal since I began renting from them and that service animals don't require fees. When asked how she "noticed" my service animal she reported that she had been driving by and had seen him. Pretty odd since we are on a dead end and she would have had to specifically come down to the end of the road... but just to spy on us. She claims that she drives by ALL of their rentals Finding this to be quite strange I asked her to tell me what my dog looked like. She stated that it was a rottweiler or a pitbull (it is neither) but that she didn't really know her breeds, which was understandable. I then asked her to tell me the color of my dog and she said black and brown, but my dog is white and tan. Since she obviously had not seen my dog I asked her how they did not know about the construction seeing as she drives by all their units. At this point she placed me on hold and after a few minutes came back to say that she wasn't going to answer any more questions. This is because she/they are obviously dishonest. Harassing people with disabilities is so 1960s, Kathy. I cannot in good faith recommend this rental company any longer.

Check in experience with Elizabeth was super smooth Scott was there his back up. I was also offered cookies that were not just for checking in but anytime during this day. I decided I probably want to try each of them just, you know, for research purposes. Happy to find a bag of saltwater taffy in the room and a comfortable table to work or dine at in a sunny nook of the room. The bathroom area is spacious, though the tub was out of commission which also was reflected in the room rate. There was a shower which makes things speedier and some nice bath amenities especially the bath salts. Fireplace in the room with a TV screen that doesn't dominate. Conveniently there was a small kitchenette area with a microwave and Keurig as well as mini fridge. All the things that matter when you're on a quick trip. The grounds are beautifully kept. Maybe because it was a sunny day or maybe just because everything about the area seemed quite well cared for including the rocking bench and the bird feeders where is the nearest feather friends actually feed. The attention to natural details is lovely. One more thing. I thought I had dropped my cars keys accidentally in rhe parking area and Chelsea was very helpful searching for them.
