Both were good. As soon as a few tables left near the windows the seagulls were flying in trying to get whatever they could before the table was bussed. The hostess was on it and trying to shoo them away, but gosh the seagulls are relentless!

The hot veggie salad was ok as I was under the impression that the spinach would be sauteed. This place is a favorite for our Aunt and Uncle. The hot pastrami sandwich was ok. I was not sure how to eat the bagel chips that came with the hot veggie salad so I ate it with the minced garlic and pepper sauce. Prices were pricey. I was not impressed. This was a take out order.

I was being patient as it was very busy. After 40 minutes I inquired about it. It magically appeared from the kitchen. It had already been made but no one brought it out from the food prep area to the take out counter. Even after this experience....I wanted to go back, the hoagie was that good. Second Visit....A nasty older man in a fluorescent shirt had words with me for going in the "wrong" (????) side of the front double door. He actually told me to walk out of the empty store, that I had already entered, and walk back in via the other side of the double door!!!!! WTF!!!!!! He denied being an employee but another employee confirmed that he does indeed work at Boyers. This time the store was empty. I placed an order. 30 minutes later I inquired about my order. It still had not been made! This hoagie was nothing like the first. The entire sandwich had 2 slices of tomato, a few strings of onion and wilted lettuce. The lack of management, consistency and zero employee training is evident. You may get bullied over made up bull shit by an ASS HOLE psycho old man employed by Boyars. Your order is of no importance to the employees. They look half asleep. The food may or may not be good......there is no quality control. The employees do not give one SHIT about doing their jobs. Boyars....NOT WORTH THE AGGRAVATION!!!!!

Plaxe is very clean and well organized. I think they do a lot of the actual prep in their cherry hill location and bring it down but the quality is first class. This year the service has been especially good. When they first opened hours were inconsistent but they really have their act together. Counter is friendly , gast and not pushy. I haven't had any special orders or needed their advice but have been there enough to know that a lot of people do and it sure sounds like they are being well served. I say it's expensive but everything may be these days. Would rather buy a steak here and cook it myself then go to AC. Definitely better quality and less hassle. If service is as good next year as this will certainly adjust to a 5 star. Highly recommend

The bento box her husband ordered looked very large but an added side of veggies was called for as barely any but a garnish worth in the box. I hear they have some dessert items but didn't see anyone with room enough to order anything. For the non-sushi lovers in your party, there are many chicken or beefy hibachi offerings. Very limited seating so reserve, go early, or do take away. They moved things around to accommodate my recent solo visit for dinner at 7pm on a Monday. I was headed back to Philly after this last Ventnor dinner so I ordered a Rainbow Roll to go. I didn't want the experience to end. I enjoyed half of it for lunch next day. I ordered miso soup to start, and you really can't go wrong with that. For my appetizer, I ordered the Sushi Pizza. The waitress recommended it, and I personally think they absolutely knocked it out of the park. It had a crispy base topped with fresh sashimi and a delicious aioli sauce. It wasn't flimsy, soggy, or falling apart, it was perfectly crunchy and absolutely delicious. Definitely a big portion I had to take half to go but I don't mind! For my main course, I ordered the Triple Delight Sashimi. I'm very picky when it comes to sashimi, and the quality here was fantastic. The slices were thick, fresh, and simply melted in your mouth. My boyfriend ordered the veggie tempura and couldn't stop talking about how much he enjoyed it. It looked crispy and smelled delicious. I'm pretty sure I spoke with the owner, who was an extremely nice lady. She came over to refill our water and see how we were enjoying our meal, which really added to the experience. I forgot the name of the cake I ordered, but it was sweet, simple, and light, a perfect way to end my meal. I love this place so much. I asked ChatGPT where I should go for sushi, and it recommended Rainbow for its prices, portions, and because it was one of the most highly raved-about spots. ChatGPT didn't lie! I'll definitely be spreading the word about Rainbow and how great the food and overall experience were. If you're craving quality sushi without breaking the bank, make the drive.
