Beach Bay Movers did a great job moving my grandmother's 125+ year old oak sideboard and mirror into our basement, with difficult turns on the stairs. This is the second time we've hired them and we wholeheartedly recommend them. They were punctual and courteous. They were careful to protect our doorways and floors and walls, wrapped up the antiques and moved them down the stairway into the basement. Make Damen and Dan your choice for moving! Damon, you need to stop giving yourself 5 star reviews. You need to stop having your family and friends give you 5 star reviews. You also need to stop filming and directing your videos yourself. One video, you can hear you telling someone what to say. Please review the guidelines. These reviews and videos are not fair to the consumers who might not know your reviewing your own business. You should also let the customers know that your "moving company" does not have any moving trucks and you simply rent moving trucks when someone hires you. You dont have a business office but simply a personal cell phone and a bedroom in your mommy's house. Review the guidelines on Yelp. Conflicts of interest: Your contributions should be unbiased and objective. For example, you shouldn't write reviews of your own business or employer, your friends' or relatives' business, your peers or competitors in your industry, or businesses in your networking group. Like a bad blind date, Damon just didn't show up. Confirmed details, pricing, location, etc. He checked in a few days before, and I texted the day before to confirm as well. 20 minutes past his scheduled arrival time, I texted for an update. He read the text, but didn't reply. I called him, and in a panicked voice he said "Let me call you back on my brother's phone", then hung up. Never heard from him again. They gave me a price for a move from the Rehoboth to Wilmington. When I was ready to sign an agreement and give them a deposit - they never called me back. I sent them text (as they instruct in voice mail. I mean at least reply with we are booked, or we don't want your business and I would have been fine. But to not even call or text back - crazy. They are the very Worst! Only two men for a whole house. Three trips to bring our furniture, etc. to new home. Half of stuff left in the garage for us to move in ourselves (my age is 74). I paid them in full with the understanding from the owner that they would come back today to finish loading the stuff into the house from the garage and called this morning to confirm only to find out that they are not finishing the job! Horrible service! They left my parents with tons of boxes in their garage, a day bed 1/2 put together and 2 dressers on the wrong floor then quietly SNUCK out of the house while my parents were in the back part of the house! They will not return their calls or texts. read more

Do NOT use Beach Bay Movers, Damon is a very dishonest guy and terrible business person! An hour before we were to move out of our Ocean View condo, he texted that he and his brother Daniel were in a car accident enroute to our home and they were in the hospital. He then had his "Dad" text later that he wouldn't make it to help with our move. I genuinely believed Damon, even checked on him several times to ask if he was okay, though my Fiance was immediately suspicious of the fake totaled car photos. It's been three weeks now and he's not returned my calls, texts or my $100 deposit. He even blocked me on Venmo instead of giving me back my money that he collected two months in advance. My fiance had heart surgery then neck and back surgery recently and we had to load a uHaul truck by ourselves in the harsh heat after a four hour wait to see if Damon was going to show up after his "CT scan". We missed our flights the next morning to see our kids because it took us two days to move everything ourselves, we are in our late 50s, early 60s. Shame on him! Damon has been advertising on social media his other move jobs since his "accident" even advertised another "freak accident" landing him in the hospital "again" a few weeks after our move was to take place. I am still determined to get my $100 deposit back and I do plan to file charges but I hate to see him do this to other innocent people and think he can get away with it! His business needs to be shut down. Very unprofessional and dishonest. read more

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I used them twice and disappointed both times. Damon promised to make it up on the second time moving us out of the storage since he overcharged us for wrapping material he said he purchased and didn't tell us ahead of time but the second move was an absolute disaster. He had said there will be 3 guys and only 2 came which made it a much longer move and he charges per hour, but the worst part was after a long day of moving when we finally went to bed exhausted, the bed collapsed and broke!!! Damon didn't provide his guys with a tool box to secure the bed and they put the mattress over unsecured bars which caused it to break in the middle of the night. Many of our nice furniture had scratches and dents including our Sony TV. I called and texted Damon many times but he didn't even bother to call back to say he is sorry. Very sad and disappointed at this very bad moving experience so be very careful using this company. read more
