Incredible comes a little closer but you should know that in the past thirty years we have moved more than twenty times and 19 of them have been stress (and sometimes terror) filled events and the last one was simply horrific. Andy's team not only showed up (EARLY!) but were polite, energetic and only too happy to keep me advised of any questions about special care needed for some pieces of artwork. It took two days for the California crew to unload us and place our belongings and my brother-in-law and I did much of the unloading. These 'work animals' stripped our Bridgeville 4 BR home in TWO HOURS! I never got to eat the lunch I had packed! We drove to Georgetown and they were out of here by 11:40 in the morning. A four bedroom, two story home packed out and moved in under four hours? Simply incredible. I'm still in shock. I'm telling you honestly that Andy's price was too low in our estimation but we accepted it gladly. And we tipped the hell out of the crew who honestly deserved even more than we gave them. We are just blown away by this company - he should go national and take Allied and the other national carriers down a peg or two. And a special shout out to Amber, Andy's alter-ego on the phone, who kept us updated and informed through the process. Well done, sir. Very well done indeed.

The crew finished packing up the PODS more thank two hours sooner than we anticipated (literally saving us hundreds of dollars). Our things were in storage for over a month and the PODS were just delivered and unloaded. I need to give credit where it's due. The PODS were packed SO well! Everything was wrapped and padded perfectly and nothing broke (even the fragile things that were barely unbroken when they were loaded). I am honestly so impressed. First, the boys assigned to do the move (from Millville to Middletown DE) were fine. Regardless, my first estimate from a video tour with Mason was for less than $4,600.00. About an hour into the move, I got a call from Matt who advised that I needed a 5th man...although it would cost more, it really wouldn't since it would be less time to do the job. About an hour or two later, I was called by Mason who said that the 5th guy increased the cost by $900.00 to $5,500.00. I reluctantly agreed. Next, a sixth man was provided without any authority by me or any notice from Black Tie Moving. After the move, which took about 10 hours, at close out, I got an invoice for $7,800.00+ and a credit card charge of $7,445.19. I spoke with Black Tie (Mason) and I offered to pay $6,200.00. They advised they would come down by $300.00 but refused to negotiate further. Long story short, after disputing the charges on my credit card, I am compelled to pay the entire amount based on their shady dealings and contract of adhesion. So, in review, there was an original estimate of $4,600.00 turned into $7,445.19. I strongly suggest after reading this review, stay clear of this company, unless you realize that you will be paying about $3,000.00 more than the estimate they give you.
