Requested a fade on the sides and back, with short hair on top that naturally flows to my side. Loved the result! I have very thick hair and Rachel thinned it so it's more manageable. I saw Rachel McDaniel yesterday for the first time. My hair was terrible. Box color all throughout, split ends and tangles. She did my color and it came out so nice and used a great product with no ammonia. The cut was perfect and my hair feels so healthy now. She cut the dead ends off but gave me a great style and kept the length. She's so full of personality and super fun to talk to. The price was amazing. $25 off for new clients. Go see her! I've been going to Michelle to get my hair done for probably 4 years now. I started with her when she was down In Santee, then La Mesa and now she owns Be True in Ramona. My hair consistently looks the way I want, color is always good, I always say no yellow in my blonde! I did have Tiffany cut it once due to a scheduling snafu and she did great too. The salon is cute, clean and has off street parking. It's on a quiet little street and easy to get in and out of.If you want nice hair at what I'd consider a reasonable price these days, make an appointment, bring an inspo Pic or two if to want and be prepared to walk out happy. read more

I don't like having to leave bad reviews but i had a terrible experience at this salon. It had nothing to do with the salon itself. It was nice and clean. It had to do with my cut. Here's a pic of what i wanted and a pic of what i got. I cried the whole way home. UPDATE: I got a text at 7am pretty much blaming me, blaming my hair, blaming the photos. But then offers for me to come back in, sure like that wouldn't be completely awkward and uncomfortable. With age came the gray hairs and I was finding myself in a funk. I found out Michelle was coming to Ramona over a year ago and it was life changing for me. Not loving my hair and needing a fresh new look WITHOUT breaking the bank. Michelle worked her magic with a new cut, still keeping my hair long and color without highlights or any other fancy changes (through its all available and she is VERY talented) Michelle did not once try to upsell me with products, it's all beautifully displayed and available. AMAZING FIND in Ramona! I'm so hesitant to switch hair stylist that I fly to see my parents in Iowa to use the same one I've had for 14 years! I decided to try a local place and so happy that I finally did. Michelle was awesome. Took her time and listened to me and spent a ton of time just chatting.
