So many great gifts and items! I could have shopped there for hours if I hadn't had somewhere to be! Now into the hair. I showed the stylist (unfortunately I forget her name) a couple hairstyles and told her to run with that vibe. She did such an amazing job! I felt so pretty when I left the salon! *I also forgot to mention that the salon mis-scheduled me and rather than cancelling, they worked to find a stylist to come in and do my hair! Superior customer service. The price was more than reasonable and I will definitely be back for next event I go to!

I wasn't going to leave a review because I understand that new stylist aren't experienced. As I was…read morepaying, the owner came up and asked how I liked my hair. I told her it wasn't what I showed her I wanted, and the new girl. I expressed that it's ok I understand that she just started and said I was heading back home and will have my stylist fix it. She Waved her hand spun around, and said, "well, go there". Ok first of all, wow, what a "class act". I was "warned" from School and locals that she wasn't a pleasant person and acted entitled. And that is what she did and proved everyone to be true. Second, as an adult woman, I should be able to express my feeling about the service I just received. I didn't say I wasn't paying, I tipped appropriately and was scheduling to go back for another service. So for her to "dismiss" a paying customer and local. Third, FYI ... if someone goes to college and you hire them and then make them sign that bogus contract that tells them they can't work in that field for a year, nope, NO judge is going to hold them to that. That's their livelihood and why as a business owner and woman ever want to hold another woman back? If it doesn't work out with you, let them go. Your ego is going to cause karma to come back hard. Birdie flying around town about you hurting the woman power by trying to control. Let them grow and stop holding them back. I hope they challenge you in court over that and you will see. They may not be able to work in same county but you and your contract won't stop them. So review is all because an owner couldn't have said, I am sorry. Period. And if she is like that to a paying customer she will bite all the hands that feed her. Ps. I had Deanna at Mane Focus in St.clairsville fix it. Thank goodness for skill and grace. She took it and made it look exactly what I wanted.

A few days later i noticed some extra gel that wasn't filed well on the sides of a couple nails and also a couple nails were scuffing and the color wore off the one side. I came in on a whim for a gel pedicure. I was seen right away since the place was empty. It was a…read moreno-frills, dated salon and so I had low expectations. I should have trusted my instinct and walked out. There were no sanitary measures, the pedicure bath was dirty; I saw the clippings from the previous customer. I was about to leave but I figured I'd give the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she'd clean the bay? Nope. It did not seem as though sanitation was a priority at all. It seems like all the tools are not sanitized, there was a UV sterilizer but it looked like it was for show. The tools she pulled were in her basket already and looked dirty. I was repulsed but committed. I figured she'd wash them, but no. Everything was going fine until... the nail tech pulled at my inner corners of the nail, claiming I had an ingrown nail. It hurt A LOT! She did not ask me if it was ok to work on it. She yanked at it & I'm worried as heck that I'm going to get an infection. I didn't say anything because it was too late. And, I felt like it would have been an awkward encounter after a previous awkward encounter when I asked to cut my toes shorter and she adamantly said no. I feel bad writing this, but, the business needs to hear this feedback. Toe infections are real, and sanitation measures need to be taken seriously. If working on an ingrown, disposable tools should be used. Both toes and they are throbbing now. She was not gentle when moving my feet, the massage was effortless. There were no prices posted, but the gel pedicure was $58. All in all, I would not recommend this nail salon. If I get an infection, I'll update this post but I'll spare you the pus. At the end, I did ask for her to spray my nails with alcohol & she was very confused and told me I didn't need that. Update: yes it's infected, and now have to go to the doctor.

I have gone through many stylists since I moved away about 6 years ago. However, if I had my way, I would come home to get my hair done every time. Many of the stylists I have seen since I left the Pittsburgh area charge far too much. And for some reason that I cannot understand, I find that it takes hours more with other stylists than it takes her to do the same heavy low lights and highlights. Kristin is a seasoned veteran in this industry and she knows exactly what she is doing. Although, I found the last appointment to be rather high in price for the time that it took and the rather strange location of the salon, I believe that the price really is worth it for the quality of stylist and the results. I would recommend her for every age, cut, and color.
