My first COVID haircut... long overdue!…read more I came to Sergio's on the recommendation of a friend after my stylist relocated out of state. Britt gave me a fantastic cut and brought my locks back to life. They have a great setup for the current pandemic guidelines - styling stations are spaced out, things like pens, capes, towels, and styling tools are single use. The latter two of which were even wrapped in plastic until it was time to use them. The large, airy space lends itself well to distancing from other customers, everyone was masked up, and hand sanitizer was readily available. Pandemic or no pandemic, I'll definitely be back!

I called the next day politely explaining the issue, and they said it would cost $100+ to "try to fix it" but they "couldn't make any guarantees." Seriously? I went to another salon and it cost a ton to fix Sergio's error. They said Sergio's not only used the wrong tone, but she left it on way too long while she did another cut and chatted. I should have listened to the negative verbal feedback I heard from friends--I looked at the stars online and should never have trusted them! NO to Sergio's--don't go through this same nightmare.

Caution: long review Short version: great price to quality…read moreratio, service is pretty great, location is good, and I am happy to keep coming back. I met the owner of Meraki Styles Salon last year (2019) after trying to find a salon when moving to Pittsburgh. Usually I stay with a salon because of the location but in this rare occasion I decided to follow the stylist when she opened up on her own. Location: the space is very nice. Minimalistic, with four chairs and a google assistant to set the mood - when she wants to cooperate. Cut: It is hard to judge a cut for everybody to judge, because it's personal style. But Bri's been cutting my hair now for a year now and I keep going back. But seriously. I had it cut every six weeks and I'm happy that my layers grows in very evenly. So even if you're jot a pro, like I am not it still continues to look good. When I come for balayage the process takes about 2 hours and I came out with really cute curls. See picture. Also ps: I keep asking her to curl it when I go but I really like it straight I hope she chuckles when I admit this on yelp Price: this is pretty fabulous. I pay as much for my haircut as my boyfriend. Bri is very fair and is able to cut and/or in an efficient way with pleasant conversation while giving you a homey feeling. Overall quality: I want to give her a five star but I'm a bit worried about how many reviews that are good have been hidden by the yelp algorithm, which is a little concerning for me looking at a new business that opened during corona season. I know this review is long, but I hope it helps.
