During a long layover at IAH, I checked out Be Relax Spa to get a "lift me up" and it was the best decision of the day! Priority Pass now has experience perks and I was able to put the credits towards a polish change. They also have various massage options: - foot massage (heated chair massage + hands on massage) - hands on chair massages - massage loungers Mitzey went above and beyond during my visit. She was warm and welcoming, especially when I arrived when the spa opened at 8am. She made my experience at the Be Relax Spa incredible. Mitzey was detail oriented with the polish and my nails looked so jazzed up once she was done. I highly recommend Be Relax Spa for anyone traveling through IAH. They're located next to gate D1 and is worth the walk from different terminals. There was a good mix of male and female customers that stopped by as well, everyone left smiling and relaxed. I will definitely come back whenever I'm traveling through Houston and have some time to spare. The space is lovely and clean. The atmosphere is soothing (hard to come by in a hectic airport). Located in the new Terminal D Concourse at IAH, this spa is an awesome addition to IAH. Spas were something IAH was lacking as an amenity but not no more. I was on my way to the United Club after having a flight delayed for a few hours when I walked by the newly built spa. I noticed on the side of the building Priority Pass Membership logo which is why I went it to find out what kind of perk I may have for being a Priority Pass Member. There are multiple ways to earn Priority Pass membership either through a credit card that offers it as a benefit or just buying a yearly membership. I happen to have two credit cards that offer the Priority Pass membership but not all credit cards offer the same membership tier apparently. I first tried my Amex Platinum membership and that did not qualify however when I used my Ritz Carlton Credit Card that DID offer the complimentary perks. They offer many different services from manicures, pedicures, massages, waxing, and more. Not all services are complimentary with the Priority Pass membership, some do require an up charge. I opted to have a manicure done. The services were great and quick. My technician was Marquita and she was very friendly and approachable. I was en route to Thailand and I was surprised to find out she had tips of things to do in Thailand since she's been and lived in that region. I'll be sure to stop by again the next time I have time for a quick pampering. read more

Well that was complicated. I arrived in the newly renovated terminal D to utilize my priority pass benefits at Be Relax Spa and am honestly still confused with their offerings. The priority pass app states that you have the option of one of the following: 1) 15 min lounger massage plus O2 2) 30 min lounger massage 3) polish change plus hand massage or 4) 10 min be feet lounger massage plus O2. This was not what was offered. To start out with, they offer two types of massager chairs. One which is much more primitive but with reclining back, elevated leg massagers and back massagers. They also have a much fancier massager that conforms to the shape of your body even including forearm massagers. Obviously this is the chair that I wanted, however apparently this massager is only available for longer timeframes and for additional charge. The options offered to me were 15 min in the basic chair with optional O2, 30 min in the fancy chair with a $9 charge, 10 min foot massage, and finally the nail polish change with hand massage was not available since the nail tech was off duty. I asked if I could just do 15 min in the fancy chair but they declined. I also asked if I could add my guest pass to mine for a 30 min massage and this was also declined. It's also worth noting that the place was completely empty. I included a photo of the priority pass offering from the spa which does not state any specific chair requirements. In the end I selected the 15 massage on the more basic chair which was nice but honestly I'm puzzled why they keep their equipment under lock and key. If this were people providing hand massages, I would certainly understand, however this is literally something plugged into the wall with no client waitlist. Weird. read more

The massage chair while getting a mani-pedi was other worldly and I would return just for that alone. The high hidden charges were very shocking to me as I wasn't asked if I wanted to add these extras, some I don't even recall receiving, therefore the bill (which is conveniently emailed to you so you don't see it beforehand), was quite a surprise to me. The nail polish didn't last more than a day and started to peel even though it's a lacquer. So, back to the spa for another mani-pedi at home. read more

He really knew how to work out the tension, stretch my shoulders, and helped me feel refreshed before my next flight. IAH has been missing an airport spa since the one in Terminal A closed. I've been to Be Relax two times now since it's opened. Both 15 minute chair massages have been excellent and the staff is always super friendly. Love the digital wait list system too! If I had one gripe - and it's not Be Relax's fault - it's that Terminal D's announcements are SO LOUD. They are startling at times, especially when I'm in a zen state of mind. read more

I had a 3 hour lay over and was happy to find a spa at IAH. Staff was very very friendly. No complaint there. I had a 30 minute foot "massage". The nice man who did the massage slept through a good deal of the 30 minutes. Toward the end, I even took a picture because I thought it was so funny. I should have refused to may the $80 PLUS tip, but he was nice and I didn't want to have a confrontation. I feel like I didn't have a massage so much as a 30 light brushing on of lotion.
