My son was a former client of Chatterbox Speech for 1.5 years receiving speech therapy 1x/week…read more We've had multiple therapists but the ones that he connected with were Emilia F. and Kirsten S. Highly recommend them! He saw Melissa M. once and she was amazing too. When Regional Center stopped paying for his speech therapy due to aging out, my husband and I paid out of pocket. I would pay via Venmo. When it got too expensive, I decided to stop services as he was already going to preschool and getting speech therapy there. I received a phone call from billing assistant Jennifer that I owed for three service dates, which was fine. So I paid via credit card. She claimed I didn't pay for some of the dates and that they never received payment from Venmo, but I was happy to provide proof. She asked me to text it to their phone number which was their main line. Okay, I texted all the screenshots. FOUR months has gone by and I receive a phone call from her that they never received the proof. She applied the credit card payment to a date that I had already paid through Venmo. I'm trying to call and email her to get this resolved- no answer. I called the Los Alamitos office multiple times and even asked to speak to the billing manager. The front desk told me the number that Jennifer wanted me to text the info. to was the landline and they can't get texts.... uhm okay.... so I asked for an alternative number so they can forward the information to the billing manager Sarah. I even screenshot my bank account activity, Venmo activity, and a typed Word document of services dates + payment dates. Finally I received a phone call from Sarah that it was entered incorrectly and the balance is $0. It's crazy how I had to take initiative and multiple attempts to get this resolved. If they didn't forward the info to Sarah, it may still go on and on! Please fire or move Jennifer to a different role as she is obviously incapable of this job.

Long overdue review of Chatterbox. It's been about a year since we left Chatterbox, but I'm very…read morethankful for the services that they provided to my son. When my son was 3 years old, I brought him to Chatterbox since he was no longer developing verbally. In fact, he had regressed badly in preschool, and was largely not verbal there during the day. We later had him diagnosed with autism (ASD), and were able to pursue other services, but at the time, all we had was Chatterbox. After the initial intake with Courtney, he was accepted as a patient, and we got on the schedule pretty quickly. I don't believe it is this available or open normally, so I guess we got lucky. We set goals and we were coming to Chatterbox for 30 minute sessions (really 25 minutes) twice a week. We worked on some basic things, but given the later ASD diagnosis, we did what we could here. The end result was that after almost a year, he was verbal again and we met some of our goals. I didn't mind continuing with Chatterbox, but by that point, my son's needs were greater in other areas, so most of his time afterschool was allocated to behavior therapy instead. All in all, we are very thankful for the services that Chatterbox provided. Eternally grateful for the services delivered by Marina, Denny, Amanda, and Jenn. Also thankful to Priscilla for being great to work with from a scheduling and administrative perspective. Anyone who comes here will know right away that the parking lot is comical. The entrance on Cherry actually features bi-directional traffic, even though it's only wide enough for a single vehicle. If I do manage to get in this way, I'll do a quick pass through the lot, and if no spots, I'll make a right in the alleyway and another right on Reagan St., then another right back onto Katella, where there is usually street parking in front of the dentist.

His therapist Darlene helped him grow amazingly and we are beyond thrilled with her commitment and dedication. The only negative thing is hearing our son tell us how much he misses Darlene after he has now finished.

My 8 year old daughter was being teased about not being able to say her R's. Adults and children…read morealike would mimic her speech and a rude child on the soccer field pointed out the irony that her name had R's in it but she couldn't say them. Her name begins and ends with R, and she began to avoid saying her name when introducing herself or when people would ask her name. This broke my heart and solidified the need to seek speech therapy. She began therapy in February 2024 with Mikayla, and by October/November she had made drastic improvements in the ability to say R's but the habit of saying R sounds the old way was hard to break. It is now January 2025 and our insurance has changed so she is no longer able to attend therapy, but I am so happy to report that she has now mostly broken the habit of saying R's the old way all on her own without reminders, and most importantly can confidently say her own name. I also want to thank Karen for her diligence in working with my insurance company getting the claims paid. Without her extra work getting sessions covered we would not have been able to afford services. I am so grateful to Let's Talk Speech & Language Therapy for helping my daughter.

This review is specific to Bumps amd Bagels event. While the seminar offered useful information, it…read moreseemed to be geared primarily toward first-time moms. After the sessions, participants were grouped by due date, and every mom in my group was a first-time parent. Rather than feeling welcomed, I found myself standing outside the circle while the others talked and shared their experiences. I felt excluded and never truly included in the group discussion, so I left early. During the Q&A, I attempted to ask a question, but the speaker talked over me before I could finish, which made me feel dismissed. Overall, I left feeling that the experience was not very welcoming or inclusive for moms whose experiences differed from the majority of the group. I would recommend that second-time moms interested in New Mom School services skip the Bumps & Bagels event and book directly, keeping in mind you won't receive the $50 discount, or consider seeking group support elsewhere. Alternatively, I encourage New Mom School to consider offering a Bumps & Bagels event specifically for second-time (or experienced) moms. Having a space where parents with similar experiences can connect and share would make an introduction to the program feel much more inclusive and valuable for families beyond their first pregnancy.

Since the studio is so close and this was an opportunity to extend my new mom network, I pre-registered for the second time mom class while I was pregnant. The topics spanned different things like pelvic floor, infant PT, 2 different mental health therapists, a parent coach to help with the transition from 1 to 2. We had a small group of 7 moms and were able to meet up a couple times during our class series. I enjoyed my experience at the los Al location and the parking was certainly much less stressful than in newport. Iykyk.

From the very first contact, Ms. Yazmin made the intake, insurance eligibility, and scheduling process smooth and stress-free. For a family navigating a new autism diagnosis with multiple therapies and providers, having someone handle that process with such care and efficiency meant everything. Ms. Jacqueline conducted a thorough and thoughtful evaluation that accurately captured our son's GLP profile and communication needs. Her report was detailed, clinically strong, and has been an invaluable document across all of Dylan's providers and evaluations. Ms. Verenice has been incredible in our twice-weekly sessions. Our son is speaking more and more and we genuinely believe it is because of the NLA-informed, neuroaffirming approach she brings to every session.

I was referred to Branching Tree Speech Therapy by the regional center in Pomona. I did not have a…read moregood experience with the speech therapist who was assigned to treat my daughter for the following reasons: 1. The speech therapist was constantly late to my daughter's appointments, but always left right on time. I got so tired of this that I reached out to our care coordinator at the regional center. Only then did she start showing up on time. 2. The therapy is play based, but it seemed like the speech therapist always showed up with the same toys. If you're using the toys to introduce new words then shouldn't you switch it up a little bit? Wouldn't that help my daughter's vocabulary grow? I again had to contact our care coordinator for assistance. 3. It was raining one day and I got a text from the speech therapist saying that she didn't want her toys to get wet, so they would just use my daughter's toys. This honestly made me laugh because she used a suitcase that zipped all the way around to transport her toys. 4. The speech therapist, a single woman with no children in her early twenties, would often try to give me parenting advice. It was always unsolicited. I certainly wouldn't go to someone like her for advice on how to raise my child. 5. The speech therapist would often refer to my daughter as "Bud"...I am actually still trying to figure this one out. It made absolutely no sense. Who still uses that word and don't you know her real name? I finally asked for a different provider and my daughter was cleared shortly thereafter. The only advice that I have for other mothers is to listen to your intuition. If it feels like someone assigned to treat your child just isn't the right fit then don't wait as long as I did.
