I did a ton of research when l started looking for a personal trainer and interviewed several trainers in person. While they were all great in their own right, Lenora stood out among the rest. She has a solid education backing her training up and truly approaches it in a holistic way, which was exactly what I was looking for. So far she has helped me greatly! We are working through some postural issues I have and she is really great during every session making sure we are doing the right exercises to help strengthen and balance my body and changing something if it isn't working. Lenora really knows her stuff. She also helps me out nutritionally and is very educated in this as well. She makes workouts fun, but also kicks your a$$. She is very good at helping you learn to push yourself and cheering you on the whole way. She finds out what really motivates you and utilizes that in your sessions. She's firm, yet gentle and nurturing at the same time. Basically, she is amazing. She is changing my body, mind and spirit....my whole life! I will be continuing to work with her for a while. She is also guiding me through training for a 1/2 marathon. I have never been a runner, but with her help, I am becoming one...at age 34! I have also lost weight, toned up, gained confidence, etc. I HIGHLY recommend Lenora of Holistic Personal Training. You will not be sorry!

She has helped me achieve those goals and MUCH MORE. She used her training as a therapist to guide me through a time when I was in a toxic unsafe work environment and trying to keep depression at bay. I could text her a nutrition question and know her answers were based on the latest research! On top of all her technical skills, she is one of the kindest, high integrity people I know. Anyone would benefit from working with and knowing Lenora. Although she has moved across the country, I still have a weekly check in with Lenora that helps me to keep on track. Her advice is always spot on!

When I…read morestarted, I was pre-diabetic, and suffering from plantar fasciitis and osteoarthritis in my knees that made it painful for me to participate in the sports and activities I love. Since then, I've dropped over 50 pounds, lost eight inches around the waist, and gotten back to hiking and pickle ball and golfing without pain. When I went for my annual physical a few months ago, it was the first time in fifteen years that the results came back clean - every result was in the normal range. Cholesterol and blood sugars were way down. I hired Amy as my trainer because she would come to my home, and train with me in the garage on the equipment I own. Dumbbells, kettlebells, TRX, box jump, wall sits, etc. Every workout is different. She is patient, quick to offer modifications when something's not right, and keeps a close eye on form to ensure I perform the moves correctly. She knows how to push, too. I never knew there were so many variations of plank exercises, squats and lunges. She's often recognized before I have that I am capable of doing far more than I realize, and it's worked. She's turned me into a lover of Bulgarian split squats! I'm healthier, stronger and more fit than I've been in decades, and I credit Amy. She's even helped with diet and nutrition, and turned me onto healthier foods, and when and how to use protein shakes maximum effect. In other words, I'm a big fan, and wholeheartedly recommend her training services for anyone who is serious about making health and fitness a bigger part of their lives.

In 2022, I realized that I, 73, should be working on my own strength and conditioning in order to assist him as well as maintaining my own quality of life. For four years I have been working with Amy twice a week and Andy continues working with her once a week. We began with in-home visits but Covid forced us to virtual sessions via FaceTime. FaceTime has proven to be the perfect situation, especially since her recent move to Minneapolis. Her relocation went seamlessly for us and we continue as if she still lives in Pleasanton. Amy tasks us with personally designed workouts every session, making certain we're performing the moves correctly for maximum benefit, and offers valuable advice on diet and nutrition. She continues to research new and challenging exercises for us, pushing us to continually improve our strength, conditioning, balance and endurance. Her help has enabled us to continue to travel, enjoy our grandchildren and just feel better. We highly recommend our friend and trainer extraordinaire to anyone looking for a guide to better health.

I met Tyler through a friend of a friend who asked me to sign up with him so they could get a referral discount. I was wary of trying it out because I had my "cardio rat" routine down. I did my 45 min on the treadmill/elliptical/stair master, threw in a couple machine leg sets, and then called it a day. However, the first class I went to with Tyler, I was sold. The classes consist of a lot of conditioning and strength training workouts that use your body weight or kettle bells to kick your ass for 45 min. It's a full body workout and I always leave feeling satisfied that I truly got a workout in. Plus, you see results and continue to see results. I can do more reps faster, I can use heavier kettle bells, and I feel stronger. My bod is more toned than it's ever been and he's serious when he says he can help you "build a better butt." I go to his classes (T, Th, S, and Sun) as consistently as possible and also do a personal training session with him once a week. The personal training is great- it's a time to focus on what you want and try some new lifts, techniques, or workouts. I never considered lifting for strength before Tyler. I was worried I'd hurt myself or get some crazy big muscles. Instead, I'm toned out and have this new confidence in my strength as a female. I could barely squat 45 pounds properly when I started and now I'm squatting over 150 pounds! Long story short, I highly recommend TC Personal Fitness. Tyler is super motivating, encouraging, and extremely knowledgeable in what he does. He's approachable and I trust that he has my best fitness interests in mind.

There you can pick where in the room you will be standing as the spots are painted on the ceiling. A bunch of us decided to take a lower body class so I was preparing to just do a bunch of lunges and hurting... lol The class started and the music began. The instructor took us through a warm up routine and then began to explain all the stations. There were 5-6 stations and we were to rotate between them. Yes, lounges were on the menu! Man, I was getting my butt kicked! each station had certain movements that focused on a certain body part and yes, I was sweating and crying lol. This lasted for about 45 minutes, once we were done with the stations twice, we rolled into a cool down period and eventually the class ended. What I liked about the class is that there was constant movement and you didn't get board with the movement. If I kept going to this class I know I would be in waaay better shape than I am but unfortunately, I don't live in town. I would try it out if you are visiting of living there. Its not too huge and intimate enough that you aren't lost in the crowd.

The turf area especially felt tight and there was a noticeable smell that made the atmosphere less enjoyable. There is a small posing room but it is basically just a closet with mirrors. The cardio options were pretty limited too. Not a bad gym but definitely not my favorite Los spot. Like many people, I had put on more than a few extra pounds and was pretty unhappy with how I looked and felt. Before coming to Basecamp fitness I had pretty much no experience with group fitness classes, strength training, and was a novice at anything and everything. I didn't even know how to do a burpee! The Basecamp instructors including Zak, helped create a safe, judgment free zone, that I wasn't expecting, while teaching me proper form and technique. These 35 minute classes, with a 10 minute core block are fast paced, fun, and are over before you know it! My favorite days are lower body day (Tuesday/Friday) and full body day (Wednesday/Saturday). More than 2 years later, and over 400 classes, I couldn't be happier with my progress. A huge thank you to the Basecamp instructors, front desk, and manager for your continuous help and support. In 45 minutes, you get cardio, strength/HIIT, and core. The music is stellar, and because it's all timed (one minute on the bike, 10 second transition, one minute of an exercise), I don't have to pay attention to counting my reps and can sing along instead (lol!). You also only do each exercise once without any repetition so if you hate a move, you're done with it quickly. It's a bit chaotic, but despite that, the coaches do an excellent job of correcting form during the strength portions. Don't take my word for it, go check it out for yourself!
