Two day job turned into weeks. Got the truck back and noticed they did horrible welds that aren't TIG (will rust soon), and added unnecessary kinks. Didnt use mandrel bent piping! The terrible bends hurt my performance and actually rubbed on the frame causing a horrible sound while driving. Taking it to somewhere that knows what they are doing so it can't be fixed right. read more

I recently had my catalytic convertor stolen and not only did they have my car in and out of the shop in the same day but charged about 300 dollars less than any other shops' estimate. I always dread having to deal with mechanics but Brian was the absolute best. took my audi a4 avant in on march 3rd to get a performance 3inch downpipe back exhaust done using my supplied muffler and tips. they took 2 days with it and did "what i asked them to"... bull crap! i asked them for a downpipe back not a cut the pipe somewhere mid-car and weld a 3in pipe to the rusty factory 2.2in pipe back exhaust. i also asked them to put a new flex coupler in where the factory one would go since that part is starting to show wear and break down. below is an edit i put on google after first impressions... so today i had the audi on the lift to do an oil change... low and behold bdm did not do what i asked them to! this is the first time i've seen anything beyond the bends and welds past the rear axle... i very specifically asked brian to do a downpipe back 3 inch exhaust with a flex coupler in the factory position to my muffler then from the muffler to the tips 2.5 inch! heres what i got: from the 3 inch downpipe (which i installed) it goes factory exhaust pipe (2.25 inch) to the still there rusty wearing out factory flex coupler back to factory 2.25 inch pipe for about another 18-20 inches of length to new 3 inch to my muffler and its correct from there... i tried calling to no avail! and get the message that the mailbox is full! i want it done right! i want a call back! read more

Changing states every couple of years has become somewhat of a tradition for me. And fortunately/unfortunately for me, a change in the daily driver soon follows. After moving to Denver, I took ownership of a 2013 F150 and like many auto enthusiasts, immediately found myself in need of a new exhaust system. One that was not only capable of reminding me a 6.2L block exists under the hood on demand, but could also remain civil around town/on the highway at cruising speed. After a day of searching and comparison, I found BDM Performance Exhaust. I called BDM and was connected with Brian, the owner. I proceeded to spend the next 10 minutes describing, in likely excruciating detail for an experienced professional in this industry, exactly what I was after with my dual system - everything from tubing diameter to muffler anatomy to exhaust tone and of course, the precise tip routing I was after. Personally, with any modification to a daily driver, if the modification doesn't appear that it could have been optioned from the factory, then I am not interested it. Brian jovially assured me it would be no problem, provided a very fair quote for the work to be done and was able to get me scheduled at my convenience a mere 24 hours later. When I dropped my F150 off the next day, Brian walked the vehicle with me, exchanging witty banter and making sure he was envisioning exactly what I wanted. He seemed as excited as me to hear the final system, which is precisely the type of professional I want working on my vehicles. 5 hours later, I arrive to find an exhaust that sounds exactly the way I wanted it to and looks every bit the part of what a premium factory performance exhaust package for the F150 should look like. Classy and subtly present tips - check. Increased low-end rumble while conservatively accelerating/tooling around town - check. Capable of growing to a mature roar without blowing eardrums/sounding like pop rocks when floored - check. No drone on highway - check. To summarize, I am 100% satisfied and then some. Every start up and throttle stab puts a smile on my face. Brian and his team at BDM Performance Exhaust exceeded my expectations and turned out superb quality work within a very narrow timeframe while staying under budget. About a year ago I had the worst job done at another shop on the my restored 1971 Ford F-100 and BDM was able to completely re-do the system and it turned out great. This place raised the bar on all service centers and garages! I was referred to BDM by my Big O when my engine light came on on my 2008 Jeep Wrangler and they diagnosed the cause as the catalytic converter. I received three estimates including Big O ($650), my Jeep dealership ($1,200) and AutoNation ($1,750!) before finally calling BDM. Brian Lucero, the owner, quoted me a SIGNIFICANTLY less amount than Big O over the phone and said bring it in "anytime." So, I headed over on a Friday morning, unannounced. When they put it up on the racks, they discovered I had a four cat system, instead of a two cat system and said it would take longer and cost a little more. I was expecting the worse, needless to say. BUT, when I told Brian I didn't have that much more time or money to spend that day, he looked me straight in the eyes and said, "When do you need it by?" I said, "No later than 2:30." He quoted me a new price, which was still WELL BELOW Big O's estimate and said, "Tell you what, see that van parked out there on the street? You just take that and be back by 2:00." I couldn't believe he was letting me take his own van for the next few hours! At 1:30, he called and said they were wrapping up and to start heading back to the shop. When I arrived, he presented me the bill, which was EXACTY as he quoted and not a penny more! I'm not used to that. Usually there are always hidden fees, disposal fees, shop supplies or other add-ons that they did not "foresee," but Brian was a man of his word. Furthermore, by time I was puling out of his parking lot, it was 2:00 on the nose! Bottom line is BDM Performance Exhaust was by far the least expensive and the service was top notch! Brian was, and is, a man of his word. He kept his commitment on pricing and the time it would take. Before leaving, I asked if they do more than exhaust work, and he said they do it all, anything and everything. This is definitely a no-frills place-- if you are having a lot of work done I'd suggest dropping your car off and picking it up later. I needed something very specific and simple done to my second car that is a total pain for me to do myself without having it on a lift, so I took it here to have them do it. They had my car in and out in a reasonable amount of time, knew exactly what I needed when I explained it, and charged me a fair price. I was a little leery about going to BDM after seeing a couple of the most recent reviews, but after looking a little closer I got the feeling this was more of an unhappy customer who started piling on with friends. I am so glad I decided to give them a try. I needed my muffler fixed because the studs were broken and the 02 sensor was not installed. These guys do great work and provide a level of customer service not found at many businesses anymore. Long story short, the muffler that I chose was way to loud in the cab of my truck. I called Brian and he had me bring the truck back. I waited 5 minutes and he had my truck back up on the rack. They put another muffler on and I was on my way.
