Her and I have had several jobs done by Michael @ Patriot Plumbing in the past. I asked her for the number to Michael, thinking it was Michael @ Patriot Plumbing. In her phone directory she had Mike and Michael. The first one that came up was Mike. I needed cast iron drain replaced that had been previously replaced by the homes previous owner and bypassed with PVC outside of the wall. One of Mike's professed plumbers showed up with a rookie helper that knew virtually nothing about plumbing to do the job. The plumbing to be replaced was in the crawl space under the house. Neither plumber or helper ever wore shoe covers to walk in and out carrying tools and equipment to the crawl space to do the job. One of the things needed to do the job was PVC for the drain. Rather than measure and cut the PVC on the back patio where they had all of their equipment, the helper was told to take the 8/10 foot piece of drain PVC through the house to a hallway leading to the entrance to the crawl space, there to be cut as need with a saw, leaving the PVC dust on the floor. When the new PVC drain was finally re-routed inside the inside wall it was protruding 3/4 inch outside the wall studs, which he estimated to be only 1/4 inch at the time that would not interfere with the sheetrock. The reason it stuck out was that the angled fittings were not aligned before they were glued. I told him that was OK at the time so I could get him and his helper out of the house and I could fix that mess. He said he leak-checked it but he never turned the water back on until he was headed to the unmarked truck when he said he would turn the water back on. I replaced the sheetrock by placing 3/4 inch furring strips on all the studs on that wall. After the wall was finished we moved the washer and dryer back into the utility room to hook them up only then did we discover that the washer access panel for the water and drain hose were not installed properly in that they did not cut out the plug for the drain hose to fit into the drain. We managed to cut out the hole that was supposed to be done before installation according to installation instructions for that cheap access panel. When the cost of $1970.00 was above my daily limit for my debit card I called Mike and told him I could not pay with my debit card, I would have to wright a check. He said he was on the road and would meet me at the DQ and asked me what vehicle I would be driving. I wrote the check for $2000.00 even cause I am 83 years old and don't want to figure out how to get that many words on the amount line. I made the check to the plumbing company that I thought I was dealing with because of the wrong phone number I was given up front and both were run by Mike and Michael. When I arrived at the DQ a man walked up to the truck and said hi. I said who are you, I don't know you. He said he was Mike from the plumbing company. I had made out the check to the plumber I thought I was dealing with and he said that was not his company. I told him I would make out another check and he said to leave the pay to part of the check blank. I am still waiting for my bank statement to see who it was payed to. After that day my e-mail started receiving requests for payment from My Plumbing Company a project of All My Services a Private Membership/Ministry Association for Invoice#001135 for $1970.00 that was considered a donation. It is now 17 days after that check was written and I called Mike back and asked about the e-mails and he said something to the effect of he forgot to mark that paid. Dealing with this outfit has been a nightmare that I am just glad to put behind me. Do not recommend ever using this plumbing company or what ever it is to do anything.

I have one star only because it won't allow you to put zero or I would…read more These people are horrible and money hungry. They will evict you if you are even 4 days late with rent. My grandmother rented from them for almost 4 years now. Was always on time, and then when she started having financial problems, and was a little bit late they put in for an eviction. At court they claimed to only need communication, but I quickly found out the only reason they said that is because I had the money in my hand THAT DAY. they refused to allow us to catch up due to fees and court cost being tacked onto everything. And after being a day late they filed ANOTHER eviction even WITH communicating that they would have the money just a few days later. And by late, I don't mean an entire month behind..I mean THIS CURRENT MONTH! literally 4 days into this month and they file for eviction. Never have I ever dealt with people THIS cold. When I attempted to communicate and explain the issue I was basically called a liar and given an attitude by the lady in the office. Very very unprofessional. Do not rent from them! I will be reporting them to the BBB. they will also post a 3 day vacate notice STILL. Which is actually illegal to do so now. They CAN'T MAKE YOU VACATE! know you're rights as a tenant so people like this don't run all over you. The McDowells should be ashamed of themselves and how they are running things, honestly. When your treatment of your tenants causes you to lose your business, maybe then you'll learn.

Veteran's Beware of These Fast Talkers and Money Snatchers! GO ELSEWHERE!…read moreONE star for getting the hot water tank installed and hooked up. ZERO stars for overcharging on labor and willfully misleading and withholding information to take advantage of the consumer. *30 December 2019 called McDowells because my water heater was leaking from the bottom. I recently had the tank serviced by them in August 2019. The office clerk stated that she would send a tech out to check and assure I needed a new hot water heater. (She never disclosed it would cost me an entire hour labor charge of $70 to have the tech stop by for 15 minutes to look at the tank). I knew the tank needed to be replaced due to researching the issue on the web myself. She insisted on sending a tech out without the service fee disclosure. *I requested an estimate for the tank and labor from the office clerk, she stated about $800 range for the tank and labor of 3 hours. She stated it "usually" takes 3 hrs. I agreed to the install. *2 January 2020 tech arrives (Dean) at 0755 hrs to my home. Dean is an OLDER man very professional. The reason I am stating OLDER... I am not discriminating against "ageism" my reason is McDowell's charged me and then OVERCHARGED me for labor because Dean could not physically lift the hot water heater by himself. *The company sent out another worker (Donald) that was certified in HVAC not plumbing to assist Dean in lifting the old unit out and placing the new unit in. *Dean informed me that another guy was coming to help him lift the tank, however Dean or the office manager never disclosed that I would be charged LABOR FEES of $30 per hour for the second guy to help Dean lift/work because he is older and not capable of lifting the units himself. Why not send someone out that can do EVERYTHING lift and install? .... Totally greedy for McDowell's to charge for two techs. Fee never disclosed. *Dean arrived at 0755 hrs, he completed the job at 1054 hrs. Total of 3 hrs labor $70X3=$280. Plus 15 mins for the service call on 30 Dec rounded up to 1 hr = $70. *I never should've been charged for the second guy. I was charged $70 for the second tech Donald the HVAC guy. (The office clerk said you were overcharged for the second guy his rate should have been $30 per hr not $70. *GRAND TOTAL OF 5 1/4 hrs of LABOR $367.50 This is greediness, dishonesty, willfully misleading and evidently clear that I was violated and overcharged! I called the company to voice my issues. The clerk wanted to rush me off the phone, over talk me and refund me $26.25. My goal is to report this company to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulating Commission, the Better Business Bureau, and the commission that overseas Military and Veteran's Affairs's in order to band McDowell's from working with the military veteran's/families within the community. The IRONY in this is I tipped Dean $20 and Donald $20 each for just being professional. Not knowing I was overcharged and hung out to dry. VETERAN's go to Home Depot and purchase the item yourself and receive your 10% military discount. Utilize their service to deliver the item and use their license company or select your own NOT McDowell to install your item. Less expensive and better service. No rude or greedy people to take advantage of you. A FINAL word to McDowell's... LOYALTY and CUSTOMERS gave you longevity here in Killeen/HH. GREED is TEMPORARY and COWARDICE nothing to be proud of KARMA has broken MANY greedy people! Respectfully written by a family of Retired Military, DAV, Civil Servants.
