I want to include part of a previous review: "This is a reliable and honest company." I completely agree! I've had them out a few times now and won't bother calling anyone else when I need anything for my septic system. They always take the time to explain (in simple terms) what's going on with my septic and how they'll fix it. They have never done unnecessary work and often do less than I expected. Definitely recommend them!! read more

Great service, prompt and very honest. Jason was great. Our pump was out working, he diagnosed it and hit it to work quickly. Suggested we get a new pump eventually but no pressure sales. Excellent customer service read more

We had a leach pit issue and feel extremely fortunate we called BDK Septic for help. Every step of the way they went above and beyond, doing everything they could to help us save money and get the best outcome. They patiently educated us on all aspects of our septic system and generously coached us through a lot of the repair process so we could do as much as possible ourselves, saving us thousands of dollars. Finally, they gave us great advice on preventative measures we could take to reduce the chance of issues arising in the future. It's rare to find a service these days that so greatly exceeds all expectations but BDK definitely fits that bill, and we give them the highest of recommendations. read more

The service providers are great and timely, but their administration has bad customer service. I initially called and emailed to set up a new service, and didn't receive a call back for several weeks. The admin mentioned that she doesn't check voicemails or emails until the time was closer to monitoring reports. It was impossible whenever I tried to reach customer service - very unprofessional. The business should invest in admin that has proper customer service skills. read more

We had exceptional service from this company! The technician diagnosed how there were two problems at the same time in our engineered system and fixed them with parts he had on the truck for a very reasonable price. What I really appreciate is the call a few days later to make sure everything was working properly. read more

BDK Septic Service should be your choice for septic service in Sonoma. Professional and on-time, Mike quickly found the septic tank and quickly had the hatches cleared. He diagnosed that the tank really could go another year or more before pumping: honest and forthcoming. We decided to go ahead with the pumping, and it was done in no time. While we had the tank hatches exposed, he even suggested I take some photos with my phone, so locating the tank would be easier the next time. A family owned an operated company, BDK Septic Service did a great job. read more

This is a reliable and honest company. I called for a septic pump in the middle of an emergency- not only did they work me in within 24 hours- but when it turned out to be a plumbing issue rather than a septic issue, the driver not only helped me troubleshoot my problem, but charged me a simple $85 service call instead of a $435 pump charge (that I had scheduled). This company has my business from now on. Honest, professional, reliable and trustworthy. You have a new customer, now because of your great customer service and integrity. read more

BDK Septic - the company you want when your world is collapsing , wait, make that your septic system. Everyone said they were terrific, but only after my lines clogged did I experience their skillful service: coordinating the various vendors who needed to be onsite, doing the work, explaining the details. A big thank you to Jason for his patient hand-holding and really clear explanation of the work and why he was making certain choices, and to Chris for her always pleasant and calm assistance. Sonoma County needs vendors that we can rely on, who are professional, telling you what needs to happen and then following through so that it does. And that's BDK Septic. HATS OFF to them! read more

Excellent service- prompt, dependable, thorough and friendly. And their fees are reasonable.

Let's face it - it could be really difficult to say something bad about a pair of men who come to your house, stand on the boards of your septic box, and suck all of your poop out with a hose, so Justin and the other man with him already get 5 stars. The truck showed up 15 minutes early, gave me a moment to get my dogs put away and then took care of EVERYTHING. I was home by myself and was not the least bit uncomfortable. Kind, nice men who were fast, efficient and did all the 'dirty work'. You guys kick ass! read more

These are the people to call. Straightforward, reliable, and honest. They took the time to explain the problems we were experiencing and the proposed solutions, took care of business, and left me with a comprehensive understanding of our system, the maintenance it requires, and lots of tips on how best to utilize the system for maximum longevity. Ben and the gang seem to do a fair bit of repairing of other companies' previous work, which speaks to their competence and integrity. I feel their prices are fair. I'm glad that I was steered (by my septic engineer) to these guys. Search no further! read more

Been using them for over 20 years. Just had another tank pump. He was there on time, provided the service promptly and refused to over charge me when the tank was smaller than I thought. And told me something I could do to make it last longer. Could not be much better. read more

As a real estate professional I have been depending on BDK septic to complete septic inspections for my clients for over 16 years. I trust Ben and his son. They are professional, prompt and friendly. They have been in the business for a long time and have seen it all. read more

Anyone know what's going on with this company? I've called them 2x -- a week apart -- left messages and no call back. They did work for me a couple of years ago and I liked them but now not sure what to think? read more

I was disappointed by BDK. They failed to clear out all of the roots intruding inside my septic tank, nor did they offer the option of having the sewer line into the tank cleaned out, which I had to have done afterwards, at great cost, as roots were clogging the input. They were unhelpful with the issue of an ill-fitting lid on the tank. And although the first technician wore a Covid mask, after I asked him to do so, the owner and his assistant later came onto my property without wearing masks, even though I was wearing one to protect THEM, which is why we wear them, to protect others. read more

I called because I need a new irregular sized septic lid. Rather than charge me to come out, order, install, etc., the sweet woman who answered the phone referred me to a local company that has them in stock to save me money (rather than pay for trip, install, etc). So, while I didn't use BDK, I commend them for their honest business practice and non-shister-ness (new word!). I will definitely be calling them when we need any service to our septic! read more

The other 5 star reviews reflect my experience this morning with BDK. Two lovely guys came, located the septic covers without any problem, did the pumping, made a couple of excellent recommendations, charged a reasonable fee, petted my dogs, and left everything in perfect shape. They are my go-to septic guys now. read more

Honest. Down to earth. Two people highly recommended I use them. Very happy with service. Knowledgeable. Would also recommend.

Simply put, these guys showed up on time, did what they needed to do. Have yes them more than once in the last 5 years for regular maintenance, would recommend them. read more

BDK is great! They serviced two homes on our property in Sebastopol and each time were courteous, efficient, and they really know what they're doing! Its obviously not a pleasant task to find, test, pump and clean septic tanks and leach lines but the BDK people make it a good experience. They show up on time, work quickly, explain what they're doing and how you can better take care of your system and what to look for. I can't say enough good about them ! read more

Ben, Kris and Jason are simply the best. Straightforward, honest, and professional. Thanks for being so dang good ! I will be your loyal customer forever. MM read more

We used BDK Septic for the annual pump and maintenance of our system. They were great. They came out and took care of everything (even digging up the second lid which I did not know about...). Fast, professional and I would highly recommend them for septic needs. I will definitely be using them in the future. read more

These people really know their S**T! Located the tank that hadn't been pumped in 30 years with ESP... All went well, on time, friendly from the first phone contact to the drive away point! Very exciting experience and now I can have that done again in 7 years due to the size of tank! I learned more about septics than I thought was possible... read more

AMAZING! Today I was on a busy Hwy and my recliner flew out of the back of my pick up truck. Immediately a BDK Septic Service truck pulled over and a guy named Justin waited for traffic to clear and got my recliner out of the middle of the road. He then carried the recliner to my pick up truck, loaded it back up and tied it down. It was a very scary situation and he was beyond quick to respond. I feel so blessed that he was an instantaneous good Samaritan willing to stop and help me in a very scary situation. I will forever be thankful and you can bet that next time we need septic service we will be calling BDK Septic. Justin we can't thank you enough. You are a fine American and employee I am sure. Thankful for you. Lynn read more

Great people, fast, courteous and efficient service. What more can you want? I also feel that their rates are very fair. Especially since they had to find the tank, dig it out, and then do their work. They told me that we had a problem with roots growing into the line, cut a bunch of ten out and how to deal with it to prevent future problems. This is the second time we have used their services and we are loyal customers. As others have said; look no further, these are the guys for your job! read more

Ben and Jason are awesome. They came to my home to scope damage done to my septic system following the Tubbs Fire. They quickly determined that what I thought was damage to the septic line was actually damage to a french drain system that carried rain water away from the leach field. Ben provided me with a couple of repair options. Really awesome to see a father/son team working well together and providing such good service. I recommend BDK. read more

BDK Septic Service is a reliable service that provides inspections and septic tank pumping services. I called for an inspection of my septic tank in the afternoon and they showed up the next day. I had just had Mr. Rooter out to pump the tank for $500 and they said it needed $2145 in repairs. BDK inspected the tank and told me that it was beyond repair and that it had to be replaced. The back wall had blown out and the baffle work and patch job Mr. Rooter recommended was not appropriate. In fact they said that if anyone dug out the back side that the tank would probably collapse. Additionally the tank was cracked all the way around. Ben recommended two different contractors to bid the replacement, called them, scheduled appointments, and charged me nothing. Thanks guys, you saved me $2145 and probably a collapsed tank! BTW: BDK pumps tanks for $395. read more

Everyone at BDK was wonderful to work with - very professional and very good. We called them on MLK day, pretty desperate to get our septic fixed as it was backing up. They were there within hours, and arrived exactly on time as promised. We very much appreciate their great work. read more

I am so pleased and grateful for the excellent service I just received from Mike and Justin at BDK Septic Service. The two lids to my tank were buried under 20 years of garden and rocks. The men helped a lot with digging and locating the lids, one buried under a patio! After I removed the patio, Justin and Mike came back to pump the tanks on what must be one of the hottest day of this summer. They were pleasant and professional and I can't recommend them and your service highly enough. Thank you BDK Septic Service! read more
