Ralph said they handle a lot of repair/mitigation work and would be happy to help us with that portion as well. I was thrilled. We approved his estimate on October 16th, and this minor remediation job is STILL not complete. What should have taken 1-2 weeks at the most, I am here writing this 5 months later. I can't believe I let this go on as long as I have, and I'm embarrassed to admit it, but he kept assuring me it would be wrapped up soon. I was told THREE times he had passing air sample results from testing he had completed, and each time he claimed to have the report, he never sent it to me. It was either the testing company's fault for the delay in getting it to me, the report was on a laptop in a different city (four hours away), or he was on vacation and about to get on a flight so he couldn't email it, it was ALWAYS something. I finally reached out to a reputable remediation company that said he could complete the remediation work in a couple of days and would have results for me just a few days after that. I learned what to look for in a roofing company and what constituted a good job by a roofer. Armed with a base of knowledge, I evaluated eight different roofing companies. I read a ton of reviews from various web site such as yelp, google, Angie's List, the BBB, and HomeAdvisor and I scoured information on their individual web sites. Of these eight, I had five roofing companies provide me with estimates. Most of them visited my home and just provided me with a sheet of paper outlining the work they'd do and the cost.
