My friend and I drove a U-Haul from Santa Barbara to Santa Fe and we contracted with BCD through U-Haul to unload the truck. We contacted them a couple times as we were approaching Santa Fe and they assured us they would be there. They were very casual during the phone conversations which concerned me a bit, but repeatedly they claimed they would be there around 3 pm. Well, cut to the chase, they never showed, never called and that was the end of it. Nothing..... Highly recommend you book your moving help elsewhere. read more

I found these moving professionals on Craigslist. They were fast, friendly, affordable, and really knew how to properly pack my moving truck (with straps and blankets they brought). I didn't realize they were out of Rio Rancho, but they came to Santa Fe to pack and move all my stuff (16 foot moving truck) to my new pad in Santa Fe, and then the rest to a storage locker. They got it done in 3 hours. The owner was also accommodating and I appreciate that. Make sure you talk to him when booking. If I ever move again I will be calling this company. read more

BCD Moving was actually really wonderful to work with. Tristan, the owner, was readily available via messaging on Yelp. He addressed all my concerns via Messages, answered my questions, and made me feel a lot better about the actual moving day. There was a hiccup in getting Movers to my house at the right time, but it otherwise worked out just fine. They brought all the supplies that I needed including plastic wrap for my furniture. My movers went above and beyond in trying to make sure that my trailer unit was as small as possible as I was getting charged by the foot. I think they nearly saved me $1000 on how much footage they were able save!! The move took some time, but I was also moving and packing during that time. I felt like the price was very reasonable and they did a great job, I especially want to shout out to Josh who really went above and beyond. read more

I needed help with moving a very heavy piece of furniture from the garage to the inside of the house, moving another couple of things around and disposing off the packaging material. BCD movers were easy to book (same day late evening appointment), affordable, punctual, respectful and effective at their job. I will certainly hire them again for possibly an even bigger job next time. read more

They moved me two times before so I called them again. But-- they didn't show up!! I called 30 minutes after they were due and left a message to call why they were late -- they didn't call back. I gave them another 20 minutes-- no show so I called again -- well, it is now 4 hours later, no show and no phone call! What more can I say? I don't think they are worth even 1 star, do you? I'm all packed, and so disappointed and angry! Now what do I do? It's Saturday! Can't find another mover now! They left me high & dry and all packed up! We recently sold our home in Rio Rancho, NM and will be traveling full time while seeing our great nation. We arranged to use a POD for storage and hired B.C.D Movers based on the ratings they had received in the past. I need to point out I am 71 years old, a disabled vet, just had surgery on my heel and hurt my left shoulder and my spouse is 72. On the BCD Moving website it states "BCD Moving Co. LLC proves moving help in Rio Rancho, NM and surrounding area. Our professional movers are trained to provide loading and unloading services for your moving truck or storage containers." My experience with BCD movers is two young men (not professional movers) arrived at my home late and in a private vehicle. In other words, they did not come prepared to work. They used my dolly to move furniture and when it came to my leather couch's they did not get shrink wrapped as they should have (my furniture will be in storage from 18 to 24 months). They did not appear to know how to load the back of a pickup truck vs. a storage container. They did not fill up all the space in the POD so therefore I ended up having to store some items at our son's house (which he really does not have the room). It is so bad until part of my beds and desk among other items, half are packed in the POD and the other half is stored with our son. The two young men had no sense of urgency just plowed along and stretched out the time they where there which ended up costing me more money. I need to mention I had moved a lot of items into the garage to not only help them, but to cut down the amount of time they were at the house. I called the person in charge and of course he was on his way to AZ and asked me to send him some photos and he would call me back and probably repack the POD. I sent him the photo's and never heard back from him. I ended up keeping the U-Haul for an extra day at my expense in hopes the company would repack my POD. Would repacking my POD get all my belongings into the storage unit. Guess we will never know! The two men also bend a strike plate on my front door and made my floor transition strip come up which I now must repair both. I sent the individual in charge pictures of the damage and never heard back from him. I also called the person in charge and never received a return call. I am forced to leave a star. I wish there was a no star option. I scheduled this company to move my daughter on Oct 1, The move was suppose to be this morning. I got no cancellation notice or a phone saying they weren't coming. I called and texted for 2 hours. Nothing. I will never use this company again. I will tell everyone I know NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY. Last year there were several problems with a move we used them for. I thought I would give them a chance to redeem themselves and they FAILED MISERABLELY. Do Not Call This Company For Anything. So this is long overdue but I'm still rather upset about this service. I moved to NM a YEAR ago and saw the really cheap price and 2 MEN in a truck promise. Well you really do get what you pay for. The day of, one of the MEN did not make it so they sent a teeny tiny woman instead. I needed to move big furniture up three flights of stairs. Well my brand new furniture was banged up, my walls were banged up and because of their crazy contract nothing was ever paid to me in damages.....they said they would give me $50 and that never happened because he didn't like the pictures I sent. We used this company on 06/07. When we called for a quote we were quoted $370.00 but our final bill was $527.00. I didnt mind paying more but the company showed up with too small a truck so 2 trips were needed. The guy who gave my wife the bill was a bit nasty to her when she pointed out that they were 30 minutes late and we should not have to pay the 1/2 hour charge but he insisted they were there on time almost to the point of calling my wife a liar. I believe this is very un professional of your company and my plan is to turn you in to the BBB with a complaint. The movers on the other hand were very hard working but we felt that they could have been more careful with our possessions as they didnt even cover them or use any furniture pads at all resulting in some tears and scratches. I dont mind paying extra is its needed but i dont like my wife being pointed out as a liar. Im sorry to say that i will not recommend your company at this point unless im contacted and we can come to some sort of agreement on employee training. Im in a management position myself with drivers who work for me and would never accept this kind of un professionalism by them. read more

Hired this company through Moving Help for a UHaul UBox. I called them on the morning of the day I had the reservation for, and they told me that although they were busy, they would be here in the late afternoon or evening. I called them again around 8pm since they had not yet called or showed up. Again, they reassured me that they were busy, but they would still do the job that day, even if it was late. I waited until midnight- they never came and they never called to explain. If you are too busy for a job- please just be honest! I would not trust their word after this experience. read more

Dylan and his assistant arrived on time, were polite, and worked at a steady pace for 3 hours. They emptied a 26' truck with mostly fairly well packed goods and did not break or drop anything. at $50/hr. (plus a tip) they were just what we needed at a fair price. I believe the negative reviews seem unfair because I am experienced at packing and moving fragile items and know this is a SKILL that is worth about $100 per hour. Maybe the critics should remember that this is 2018, not 1978, and young, hard working adults deserve a working wage. Maybe these young men are not yet skilled in packing delicate items and loading trucks like a puzzle master (I am), but if they learn these skills, be prepared to pay them at a much higher level. Recently, I crated a pair of 180 year old hand painted stained glass windows for storage and eventual restoration. 1k plus for that. These guys are worth every penny they charge. read more

I am not pleased with the service from yesterday. We ended up getting two young guys who seemed either inexperienced or untrained. I thought movers were supposed to be more efficient but it ended up costing us more and putting us in a bad situation. Everything should have been out of the two bedroom house yesterday but the first load with nothing but small stuff ended up taking 3 hours. We should have had everything out yesterday but all of the big heavy Furniture is still sitting here and I'm scrambling looking for somebody to come help move it last minute. The guys who came yesterday took their sweet time and would carry out a shoebox each at a time. Both of them would grab an end of objects that I usually carry by myself. Literally at one point , one of them was carrying some wrapping paper in one hand and a tiny object in the other. While one was loading, you'd think the other would carry stuff out, but instead they would wait for one another. Don't even get me started on what happened at the storage, that took the longest and it wasn't until I talked to them and made a comment about it taking long that they finally started moving a little faster. At the storage, I kept finding small stuff on the floor and they would just leave it. I picked up a pair of my sunglasses, a handle to a mixer, and a washcloth, just to name a few. When closing up, i couldnt close the door because it got stuck on my stuff. I really thought that I was going to get everything done and have a good experience. I don't recommend these guys unless you have money to shell out for them taking hours on a job that should probably only take 3 hours. read more

I have moved over 17 times in my life and BCD Moving was the most dishonest business I have ever worked with. Their accreditation with the BBB was revoked on 11/08/2018 due to a lack of dispute resolution. We only discovered this after our horrible experience with this company and their ownership. For starters, they showed up two days later to move our belongings than we had agreed. Every time we called their 'receptionist' to see where the movers were, she assured us they were on their way. This happened about six times over the course of two days until they finally actually arrived the evening of the second day. It was later discovered that the receptionist was likely one of the owners masquerading as a receptionist. While the movers were on their way to load the six UBoxes we had rented, we were informed that they were only bringing four of them, but it would be ok because they were bringing a truck that they could load our belongings into and transfer into the remaining two boxes. After the the movers finished loading our belongings at 2am in the morning, we were surprised to hear that they wanted a check for over a thousand dollars. We had already paid an intermediary over $2000 for services with BCD. I asked the movers if the check was the total cost for all services rendered and they told me yes. I figured there was a miscommunication between the intermediary and their ownership and because it was 2am was unable to reach the intermediary for additional information. Taking the movers word at face value (big mistake) I gave them the check. BCD ownership claimed all of the money for services rendered, and deposited the check immediately. We reached out to BCD ownership to get our money refunded, and after much difficulty, were able to convince them to give us $577 back that we were overcharged. They told us the additional $1,000 was due to the fact that they brought a truck instead of the two UBoxes they were supposed to bring. We did not ask for the truck or have any say in the fact they were bringing the truck. In addition, BCD saved money by bringing the truck, due to the fact that they would have had to make two trips (two hours away) to our location if they had done their job properly. We never got a refund. Ownership stonewalled, lied about the check being in the mail about four times, and ultimately shook us down for a lousy $1,000. They even went so far as to stop taking our phone calls for the refund. Stay away from this company. They are not honest. I am not one to write reviews, but felt compelled to do so in this case. I will be reporting this business to the FTC. read more
