We were able to do some customization to meet our needs with slightly deeper upper cabinets and a wall cabinet that was on a diagonal by the phone. We also put door panels on the ends of all the cabinets for aesthetics. It took over 10 visits to finalize the design plans . Our salesperson Andy was extremely patient and helpful to make sure I didn't make any mistakes. The installer came on time and did an excellent job. He was very precise and experienced. He was even able to add another shelf to our pantry the day of install. Much appreciated. We recommend Vancouver Cabinets due to their quality and price. We saved a lot of money using Vancouver Cabinets.

We were just about to unhappily 'settle' on an Ikea door style when Robert from SwitchDoor provided us with the perfect solution. We decided to use standard Ikea cabinets combined with custom doors and drawer fronts from SwitchDoor. Our renovations are now complete and we simply couldn't be happier. With doors and drawer fronts from SwitchDoor, it looks like a high-end custom kitchen, but only cost a fraction of what a custom kitchen would. Many of our friends have commented on the quality and that 'it totally doesn't look like an Ikea kitchen'. And it doesn't. From the thicker, more substantial doors, to the high-quality finish, to the slightly rounded corners, all these details truly set our kitchen apart. In 2017 my wife and I were looking to update our 15 year old kitchen. Our cabinets (or rather the…read morecabinet doors and fronts) had suffered through 3 toddlers / young kids and a dog, and were looking a little worse for wear -- scratches, dings, chips, discolouration, a few stains and some water warping, etc. Overall, they simply looked dated and tired. Our long-time contractor noted that the cabinets themselves were perfectly fine, and we explored simply replacing the doors with new IKEA doors. But after checking out IKEA's limited choices, we knew we wanted something that felt a little more custom and higher-end -- but we weren't really keen on spending tens of thousands of dollars on a renovation. That's when our contractor introduced us to SwitchDoor and Robert Blakemore. Robert explained that he had an economical solution -- engineered composite doors and fronts -- that would give us a beautiful new kitchen at a fraction of the cost of a typical custom kitchen. After reviewing the dozens of available SwitchDoor styles and ordering some door samples, we chose 'Lakeland White Pine'. In fact, the reasonable cost of the SwitchDoor product allowed us to replace the doors in both bathrooms as well. SwitchDoor made the process incredibly easy -- we simply chose our style, provided our measurements, and SwitchDoor shipped all of the materials for our contractor to install. The ease of installation meant less disruption to our very busy household than a full custom reno might have caused. One of the delivered doors had minor issue, but SwitchDoor was quick to replace it without hassle. Combined with some sleek new quartz countertops, our kitchen and bathrooms now have a fresh, modern feel. Though we have no plans to sell anytime soon, I have no doubt we've increased the value of our home significantly. A year later we've been impressed with the durability of our SwitchDoor doors and fronts -- though our children are now in their preteen and teen years and are a little more mindful of banging into things, they're still kids! Do NOT spend your money, time, or sanity on Closets by Design…read more We had custom closets done by them a few weeks ago in the hopes of saving some money over their competitors, and we deeply regret it. 1.) Closets by Design drew designs that they could not actually build, but still charged us for the materials and work that they would not provide. (Our custom closets from a competitor in our previous home had what Closets by Design claims is not possible.) They have not refunded us the difference. 2.) Closets by Design did not build jewelry trays (they built drawers instead) despite the trays being in the plans they drew. They misunderstood their own work and have yet to fix their own mistake. 3.) Closets by Design put multiple dents in and around every closet they worked on, which are glaringly obvious on our freshly patched and repainted walls. They refuse to take acknowledge their mistake nor offer any solution. 4.) We have been chasing Closets by Design for a fair resolution for almost three weeks now, with no real effort on their end to make things right. At every turn, we have to push and ask and follow up, and Closets by Design just continues to stall and offer empty apologies without taking any real accountability. An employee named Buland, in particular, has been especially unhelpful in addressing our case, and has repeatedly missed response deadlines that he agreed to or even set himself. Closets by Design is simply not worth your time and money - choose another company who will actually value your business and treat you with respect.

It's a furniture franchise originated in Denmark. The store in Vancouver is on the 2nd level of the building shared by Inspirations on the ground level of the building. It was slight confusing on our first visit because they are 2 separate businesses which share a common centre in-store stairwell. Service was good. Since the only one available was a floor model, we were offered a reasonable 10% discount. A good alternative to sleeker and more stylish Scandinavian furniture in town than the mothership from Sweden.

The thing that makes BoConcept different from just anywhere else is the service that we get (from Paul) and we also like that everything just works together. The look is clean and refined and the quality is quite good as well. We have had a few issues here and there but Paul and BoConcept (and Rick) have been there to help us take care of anything that needed fixing. It's also nice to have an actual designer come to your house to help you see if things will work etc. They will even come during the installation to ensure that things are aligned correctly etc. I would definitely recommend them (and Paul) to friends, and I have.
