I got my nails done on a Saturday and they messed up my acrylics. Do not go there. The tech was super rude and told me that he could not do chrome over my whole nail, did not do anything to my cuticles, did not use a base coat and never filed the rough edges after painting. My nails started chipping the NEXT day. The salon is closed on Sunday's so I called first thing Monday morning and they told me that they cannot do anything about it and insulated that I was lying because I did not call until Monday. I appreciate that the nail salon is clean and well maintained plus the friendliness of all the staff during my services. Kim gives the absolute best pedicures, and I love how Tammy does my nails. Both of these ladies are always happy, patient, and helpful with an eye for detail making fun suggestions for polish colors and designs. The pedicure was great! they gave me what i asked for but i can't say the same for my nails. the nail tech was so rough that i thought he was going to rip my nails off. He made my nails much shorter than I asked, and didn't let me choose my own colors... I ended up with short blocky nails the same color as my toes. I dont think ill be coming here again. read more

I Went to bc nails 04/06/2021 and got peach acrylic nails. I paid $50 for a full set. On 04/07/2021 I went back because while I was closing my car door the middle finger broke off. After I got it fixed (by the same employee) that night my pointer finger broke off when I was closing my pop lid. At that point I just started taking my nails off and they came off immediately without using nail polish remover or anything to help get them off. read more

I've tried to give BC Nails a chance, but after having a bad experience and hearing about other bad experiences, I will not be back. I went to BC Nails when my regular nail place did not have any times available, and I was in need of a new manicure. I was fit in right away, as they have a lot of people working at one time. They filed away the gel polish instead of soaking them in acetone. Then within 10 minutes they finished my nails, it was sloppily done, there was gel on my skin, and they rushed me out the door. I wasn't happy with the job done, and I feel as if they overcharged. While I had a poor experience it was nowhere near as bad as some of the horror stories that I have heard of people getting fungus from BC Nails. I know there are salons in Battle Creek that will not take people if they know that they have had their nails done at BC Nails, so please be careful! read more

My wife and her friend went in and had a terrible experience. My wife went in to have her acrylic nails removed and manicured. She requested that her nails be soaked so that her real nails would be preserved. At first the nail technician tried to force upon her a new set of acrylic nails. She had to tell him several times that this was not what she wanted. When he finally listened he let out a heavy sigh and went to grab clippers. He began to agressively clip both the acrylics and her real nails. This was still not what she wanted. He was so rough that he was causing her a lot of pain. By the third nail, she had to yell that it hurt and the pain and frustration brought her to tears. At this point she was ready to walk out and go somewhere else. The managers intervened and attempted to remedy to situation. Rightfully so, she was not charged for the nails and they had someone else finish the manicure. My wife's friend wanted a manicure and pedicure. She wanted one color for her toes and a different color for her fingers. Her technician was too lazy to grab two colors, she tried to force my wife's friend to use the same color for both. In the time it took for them to argue the technician could have gotten up and grabbed the color. When she eventually did, she had a noticeable attitude about it. All in all, they were very unfriendly and just wanted to rush my wife and her friend out of there. What is more disturbing is that this treatment seemed to be contingent upon their ethnicity. My wife and her friend are asian. During their time there they witnessed the technicians giving the white customers much better service. Offering them water and not rushing them at all. This is dispicable, every paying customer deserves the same level of customer service and respect. What a terrible business model. In conclusion, there are plenty of nail places in Battle Creek. Save yourself some trouble and go anywhere else but here. WalMart does a better job! The nails didn't even look good at the end. read more

Despite all the negative reviews on this place I decided to give it a shot after being recommended to it by a friend! I went in for a full set and no chip polish. The guy I had, Michael in chair 6 (apparently there's 2 Michaels) did an incredible job on my nails!! I was actually extremely impressed at the detail he put into making them match on both hands and making them so even. I have been getting my nails done for a long time and I've had many different experiences, but this was great. I didn't feel rushed or anything like some of the others in the reviews said, and I walked in without an appointment on a Saturday and was helped right away! I'd highly recommend this place! Boyfriend and I went for pedi's, he also got a men's mani & I needed my nails redone using the powder dip system. I have had a difficult time finding a local shop that can use this product with a quality outcome, and the person I was turned over to after my $45 dollar poor quality pedi was the bottom of the barrel. He had absolutely no idea how to use the product and started by trying to glue a fake tip to my 1 of my nails due to it being a bit shorter than the rest, he never asked just assumed that it was okay To glue a tip on my nail! I stopped him abruptly & he tried to debate with me about it! As he struggled his way through it doing my nails it was blatantly clear that he was VERY inexperienced & his customer service skills were non-existent, he finished with putting a "final" coat on my nails Then set me at the UV dry table. At this point I was running behind due to it taking him a hour & 1/2 to end up with a final coat that wouldn't dry & was goopy. I started to pull my hands out for the UV lights & 1 of the females rushed over to add oil to my nails but when she touched to see if they were dry she seen they were goopy, forced my hands bk under the lights!! I sat there for 5 more minutes with the same results, I was ready to go & had other things to do. He rushed up there & wanted to see my nails, they were messed up from me putting my shoes on & I didn't want to let him see them because he would try to tell me I just needed to wait longer. At this point Tami came over to see what was going on & tried to have me come bk another day to get my nails re-done, but the only reason we went there was because we were leaving for vacation the next day. Tami convinced me to let her at least get a top coat on the final outcome & said I can come bk a after my vacation to have them completely redone, but then the icing on the cake came when he gave us our total.... $144.95!!!! A men's mani, 2 pedis & the debacle of what's on my nails & we were charged almost $150.00!!!!!! Never in my life have I experienced such terrible customer service with no worries to really make things right. Don't waste your time or money at this establishment! By the way I've had the dip product on my nails for over a year & 1/2; had them done at several places in Jackson, Lansing & Kalamazoo, pay $30 before tip& am out the door in less than a hour! read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. My niece and I went in for two deluxe shellac pedicures, one shellac manicure and one regular manicure. This place was not cheap but since we were already there we just went for it. There was nothing deluxe about the pedicure, they rushed through the entire thing, and my niece's nails came out WORSE than if I had done her nails for her, and I'm not good at doing nails. My toe nails came out nice but the lady doing mine was so disgruntled it was a very uncomfortable experience. The same lady did my regular manicure and was bothered when I said "ouch!" When she cut my finger. The guy who did my nieces shellac manicure was upset because I told him to remove the nail polish he left all over her skin. It was a Saturday and very busy, which is totally expected and not a problem. We were walk-ins and expected to have to wait. When we finally got to our chairs, everything was incredibly rushed. Today I experienced the worst pedicure I have ever had. I was literally in the chair for 10 minutes tops. The guy rushed through the entire "deluxe" pedicure and then wanted me to pay $45 plus he tried to get a tip out of me. I will never return and I advise customers to go somewhere else. I was unable to remove the polish from a shallack pedicure I got here a while back and decided to mask up and have it taken care of. I asked for a regular pedicure because I'd prefer to have the ability to remove the polish myself. The nail tech offered the shallack option, but went with the regular after I said that's what I wanted. When I received the bill for services there was a $5 charge tacked on for the removal of the nail polish. I was not told about this at the time of service and am wondering if this is a standard charge there now for all polish removal. Can anyone answer this? read more

I just got done with a mani/pedi. Pedi I chose was deluxe. It was rushed, but ok. When I got to the mani part I wanted a buff, shine, and clear polish. I have a couple of ridges on 3 of my nails due to a medical condition. The person doing my mani not only laughed at my nails but also brought over his friend to laugh at me. I am a bilingual individual myself, I would NEVER talk/laugh about someone in my native language in their face like that! I left feeling very sad. If I could give this place no stars, I would. Also, this place is dirty. No sterilization of equipment that I have ever seen over the last 7 years coming here (today my guy shook off my mani towel from another persons nails before reusing on me). I really wanted to give this salon a chance. My mom and I went in for pedicures and manicures. We were pleasantly greeted and called to our station. Once we sat down the lady pointed straight to the deluxe pedicure. I said no just the standard...she was not happy and it showed. Let's just say she flew through my pedicure.....massage and all. I was disappointed. On to my gel manicure...I asked her to not use her roller devise to take my gel off. Again her expression and talk under her breathe was very upsetting. And once again she flew through my manicure. Gosh how disappointing. I think I'm just so spoiled at home in CA. I now understand why this place received such bad reviews. While visiting Battle Creek from LA I decided to get my nails done at BC nails. Once entering I thought the place looked great but after the service I can assure you it was anything but. I went in for a gel manicure and pedicure and I promise they did a "full pedicure" that took no longer than 15 mins. No cuticles pushed back no oil and they cut the toenails uneven. They basically soaked my feet and painted my toes. Next, they rushed me off to the chair to get my "manicure". This is where I was repeatedly hit on my hand for "moving" too much. After I asked the gentleman why he hit me his reply was that he did not speak English very well so he couldn't find the words to tell me to stop moving. Of course I told him there were other ways to "find the words" he then ignored me for the duration of my service. Completely not satisfied... I payed for my service of more than $50 and left a generous tip (I have good fiends in the service industry so I make sure to leave at least 20%) and went about my day. Two days later I noticed my "gel manicure" chipping and my cuticles were so damaged it hurt to move my hands, not to mention my toe nails started to itch at the base from the "pedicure".
