Healthy aging requires a consistent, balanced approach - one you can enjoy and stick to over time. Endurance, strength, balance and flexibility - Sondra focuses on these foundations and will guide you through a program that is tailor made for your needs. I highly recommend Sondra for personal training - you'll be amazed at the change in your energy and mental outlook!

I've improved not only my strength, but also my balance, stamina, and eating habits. When I started working with Sondra I had just finished my 3rd round of chemo. I had had breast cancer and several years later, uterine cancer. My diet had gotten really out of whack and I had gained about thirty pounds. In addition, my balance was terrible and I fell all the time. I had spent so much time in bed that I had very little strength or stamina. Our first year together was hard and I didn't always look forward to training. But I liked Sondra and actually began to enjoy our workouts! At first, I wasn't used to being challenged that way and I had gotten lazy. But something in me wanted to get stronger and fitter. I wanted her to be proud of me. I missed some workouts, but I kept at it. Today I'm not the same person. I look forward to workouts, and because Sondra is so knowledgeable, she knows how to keep me engaged. Now I hate to miss a session! I've lost all the weight I'd put on and am so much stronger and fitter, with better endurance. Sometimes it's hard for me to believe. I like the way I look and feel and I can do so much more than I once could. I plan to keep training with her. I think Sondra is the best! I recommend her unreservedly.

I am currently a 65 year old female and Steve is very well versed on effective training methods for me at this stage of my life and at my current level of fitness. While I have trained with Steve for all these years, I still struggled with managing the 'food noise' and was up and down with my weight. I have several acquaintances on tirzepatide who were seeing tremendous results in both their weight and overall health. Steve and I had a very open and frank conversation about this, and he encouraged me to do my own research if this was an avenue I wanted to pursue because he had already done his and was 100% supportive of me going down this path. I decided to see if this would help me with the 'food noise', and I started on tirzepatide in April of 2025. So far I've lost 98 pounds, my latest labs are impeccable, and know now that I have the puzzle piece that's been missing in my decades-long struggle with my weight and overall health. Steve has been there every step of the way, making sure I get the workouts I need as the weight comes off as well as encouraging me with this GLP-1 journey. Steve is kind, funny, knowledgeable, and very patient, and I cannot recommend him highly enough if you're looking for a trainer to help you be successful in getting healthier and more fit. The Inspire Fitness facility is clean, well equipped, and very well maintained. The owners (and Steve is one!) take great pride in having one of the very best facilities in the Cedar Park area. There aren't enough superlatives to convey my appreciation for discovering Inspire Fitness and specifically Steve. I can't imagine my life without Inspire Fitness!

One of those changes being going from weighing 250 pounds to 158. The first 45 pounds I lost on my own. The second 45 pounds (and the more difficult half to lose) I lost at ATX Gym. I worked with both Max and Kevin and they were both professional, knowledgeable and truly masters of their field. Not only did they help develop and maintain a training plan custom tailored for me and my goals, they also took the time to teach me what I was doing, why I was doing it and how to do it properly with good form. They were also highly motivational, offering encouragement to keep going, keep pushing my limits and and not give up. ATX Gym has you covered. It's small, intimate and efficient. From what I've seen, the full spectrum of fitness levels finds a home here from those who could do Olympic lifts in their sleep to those who are just getting their feet wet (me). The classes always have a purpose and a plan but offer a lot of variety. Weightlifting, strength straining, booty building workshops, yoga, stretch, calisthenics, cardio conditioning, HIIT, dance--There's something for everyone. That's key for me personally, as I tend to get bored really fast and lose interest if it's the same thing every day. And the classes are small! No more than 6 people, which is the sweet spot between getting personal training and enjoying the comradery of others. It definitely helped me feel less intimidated, because let's be honest... walking into a group of strangers in unflattering workout clothes not knowing what to expect can be anxiety inducing. Lacey (owner and trainer) was so sweet, warm and welcoming! I felt welcomed immediately by her and the other few people in our group that were super supportive. Lacey and Max are knowledgeable hands-on owners that run their own classes and really invest a lot of time and energy into you. They really took a lot of time and stayed late with me to go over nutrition, set goals, and help me choose what classes would be best for me. Give this bad ass locally owned gym some love!

We…read moreuse the club consistently, follow the policies, and pay a significant amount each month for what is marketed as a premium experience. There are many things I genuinely appreciate about Life Time, particularly the instructors, who have consistently been one of the strongest parts of the club. Unfortunately, my experience with Kids Academy has become increasingly disappointing, and an interaction today brought several longstanding concerns to a head. First, policies need to be communicated and enforced consistently. When something is permitted one day and prohibited the next--or seems to depend on which employee is working--it becomes very difficult for members to understand what is actually expected of them. I am completely willing to follow the rules. I simply expect those rules to be clear, consistent, and communicated respectfully. More concerning was the manner in which my children and I were spoken to today. My children are also members of this club, and regardless of a disagreement or policy issue, I expect employees working with children to communicate with them respectfully. I was extremely disappointed by the tone and demeanor used toward them. This experience is especially troubling because I have already had concerns about what I have personally observed in Kids Academy over time. I have repeatedly seen very young children crying or visibly distressed for extended periods, ignored and wandering desperately seeking caregiver attention, and interactions that, in my opinion, lack the warmth, patience, and attentiveness I would expect from a childcare environment, the lack of genuine care for the children is appalling. This is not up to standard- particularly those associated with what should be a premium family membership. I recognize that this is gym childcare and not a preschool, and my expectations reflect that distinction. However, basic attentiveness, kindness, appropriate supervision, and respectful communication with children should not be considered premium amenities. They should be the minimum standard. There are certainly kind employees in Kids Academy, including some of the younger staff members who have been wonderful with my children. My concern is not intended as a blanket criticism of every person working there. It is that the overall quality and consistency of the childcare experience does not seem aligned with the standard Life Time promotes elsewhere in the club. My children are older and are able to communicate clearly with me about their experiences and advocate for themselves. Based solely on what I have personally observed, I would NOT leave a very young child who cannot yet communicate independently. I don't expect perfection, and one unpleasant interaction would not ordinarily cause me to reconsider a membership I have and one I would like to maintain. But when inconsistent policies, poor customer service, and concerns about the environment in which members' children are being cared for begin to form a pattern, it deserves attention. Life Time charges a premium price and presents itself as a premium club. I believe it is reasonable for members to expect the quality, professionalism, and customer service in Kids Academy to reflect that same standard. After today's experience, I am genuinely questioning whether the value of our membership continues to justify the cost.
