This location is now a PNC Bank. Worst banking experience we've ever had, once PNC purchased/merged with BBVA. Nothing but problems. One account, upon taking over, they eliminated all passwords and PINs because they failed to issue a debit card for the account-and never did do so. Meaning no remote access to account information, by computer or by phone. No customer service: had to make an appointment with a "banker" to close a CD. Upon showing up for said appointment, turns out the banker wasn't even there. In order for others to "help" close out a CD, we were required to go to the far side of the lobby for instructions to "check in" for the appointment, by text. Then had to answer a number of other texts from the bank before anyone would consider helping me. Up to this point, we'd been using up our remaining BBVA checks. Finally ordered new PNC checks. We've always used duplicate checks. Replacements were represented to be the same. Nope. Single checks-they won't even offer duplicates. Then the very first check written on those new checks, was rejected by PNC as "suspicious" ...because it was a PNC check! Meanwhile we incurred interest charges and penalties on an unpaid account because PNC thought their check on their account was suspicious. Same payment as every month, to the same account -on old BBVA checks were not a problem. One day, suddenly all remote access to yet another account vanished out of the blue. Seems PNC supposedly (they claim) mailed a new Debit card to us, and nullified all passwords and PIN numbers on THAT account. (Never did receive the "new debit card".). Then when we tried to close that last remaining account with them, they wanted us to pay THEM for a month's service charge. It took TWO trips to the branch to finally be able to completely sever our ties there. Our rating would be a negative 10, if that were an option. read more

After PNC bank take over everything messed up i'm closing all my accounts business and personal I have to pay $25 fee for one automatic bill

Beware: 1. This bank requires you to go to a branch in person to close a CD 2. CD auto renew without promotion rate. I was getting 0.1% interest after the first year. 3. Charges 2% of your balance if you close your CD before it matures horrible horrible bank they are out to screw you purposely When I want to withdraw the money from my CD I was told I can't do it online even though I opened the CD online. They told me I hade to go to a local branch. I am in Southern California. They only have one branch here and it's 30 minutes away from my house. When I got to the branch, they told me there will be a fee since my CD is not mature yet. I knew the CD is not mature yet but I assume the worst case is I paid they back the interest rate I earned during this year. But No! They told me to close my CD they will charge me $3000 on a $100,000 CD!!!! Because they charge 2% of your total balance. I was also told that I have been getting 0.1% interest rate for the past two years because the CD auto renew to their base rate. WTF stay away from this bank. Go to Synchrony Bank instead. I earned $2000 more in interest, I can close it over the phone, and they only charged me $60 compared to $3000 fee. read more

Ill keep this simple and to the point. We use this institution for our school booster banking needs. The people in the branch are very nice. Always welcoming whenever I walk in, and the bank never appears to be crowded at all. However, they have no follow through. I have yet to receive a phone call or follow up as promised after a visit. There was 1 time a person reached out to me, but that was after returning 3 times to ask the same question, and for that question to be investigated AGAIN. I am not a fan of the functionality of our booster account. It is way to too restrictive in what we need to do. We have measures in place to secure the account but the methods are not effective, nor provide any real protection against fraud in my opinion. Lastly the bank is closed on Weekends! Not open on a Saturday???! Even for limited hours? Who does that?! I can understand not being open on Sundays. But to close at 5 on weekdays and not even offer a 9-12 on Saturdays is insane. I will be switching our accounts to a different institution ASAP. As soon as I can get in there on a weekday. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced! I have great credit and I am someone who is financially responsible. I always have my payments on automatic and missed one payment for the first time EVER and payed 5 days after and even called the bank. They accepted my payment and told me not to worry especially since it was my first time and I found out that they canceled my credit card!! They had the same response "sorry it's the banks policy." They don't have the customers best interest and make it so difficult to get automatic payments started. Have told family, friends and coworkers NEVER to do business with them. read more

I am not sure if these reviews are for the bank as a whole, or the Corona Branch on Main/Ontario, but I can attest that I have been a customer for over two years now. I have never had a bad experience, and the personable staff goes out of their way to help as well as always friendly. The manager always smiles and greets as you walk by her office at the door, tellers are friendly and prompt. Stephanie and the rest always do their best to manage the drive through and the walk-in business, and although that may require patience at times, it is not annoying. All-in-all, a great bank, great staff, and their mobile banking and such is top notch. Anyone writing a negative review has obviously never been to BofA, WF, Chase, or any other money grabbing, treat you like cattle financial establishments. read more

Ok all I can say is I will never use you guys again. I have had a personal loan through you guys for two years now on a four year contract. I got a credit card that had a better interest rate than the 18% you guys were charging me so I did a balance Transfer to my credit card. I have automatic payments that are taken out on the 20th of every month and you guys received the check and cashed it on the 20th. So I called a representative asking why my monthly payment was taken out after my check had already been received and cashed. The representative did not like what I was saying I guess with asking a simple question so he decided to hang the phone up. I called back and I talked to a nice gentleman Jonathan. He cleared everything up for me. I still do not like the fact that I have to wait 3 to 4 weeks to get a check for my overpayment from you guys when it was your mistake on taking my monthly out when my account had been paid off. Very frustrating and upsetting. I am closing my account and I will never use you guys again and you should be ashamed of having customer service representatives representing your company and if they don't like What they hear they just hang up on people. This review is not about the Corona branch. I have never had any issues with the branch itself in fact, I rate the branch 5 stars. Great customer service and always friendly. My issue is with the 800 support. I have had to call them a lot in the last two years and I can tell you it's a painful experience calling in. The 800 customer service reps are not knowledgable and politely rude. I can't ever get matters resolved easily when calling in. It's always a long hold time, speak to several other reps, bad information, absolutely no empathy or support in matters that are out of my control like fraud charges. This bank makes you jump thru hoops just to get stuff done. Takes 7-10 days for a new card or u can pay $50 for expedited shipping. WHAT? I'm over dealing with this bank. Nothing is ever easy and painless. Don't back with them. They don't care and your just a number to them. read more

Customer service online and at the Corona branch is horrible. We have had nothing but wrong information when contacting them over the phone. Several times I've come in to handle a change or something simple and either have gotten the run around or like today had to wait 1 hour for someone to help me get a log in for online banking. The person that helped me was nice but didn't realize we had been waiting even after I asked the supervisor twice if someone else could help me. So far, not impressed... I opened an account with them last week. I filled out the application online and then was told that I needed to provide proof of address which I could do at a branch. I went in expecting it to take 10 - 15 min max and ended up being stuck there for an hour and a half... mind you this is after I had already completed an application online. Next I had to fund the account and they put the funds on hold for a week. I tried to access my online banking and the password they gave was only good for 24 hours... of course no where did it say that it would only work for 24 hours. Today I tried to deposit a check via their mobile app and was told I was not eligible because there is a min account balance of $400 to be able to mobile deposit. Anyone else see the irony in this? I'm TRYING to add money to the account. Of course, I do not have an ATM card yet and they charge you fees if you use in person banking more than 2x per month. I went with this bank because it was a no fee checking option for small business, but I'm starting to think that it would be worth it to pay fees. read more

Customer service is the worst of any bank I have had to deal with. The 800-compass people transfer from one person to the next and no one is able to help. They seem to read off a list of approved answers. I was basically told that I had to drive to a branch 50 miles away to access my funds. Stay as far away from this bank as possible. read more
