Kind of a bad attitude from a Lisa who works here. I took the check here which was drawn on their bank, all was good at first until there was an issue with the check. This is the first time there's been an issue with this check but her attitude went from nice to borderline judgmental. I will give it a minus 5 star, if their is such ratngs. I have $50k deposit in this bank, i was trying to call the branch 5 times from 1 pm to 4 pm on a friday afternoon. No one is answering the phone calls. It is entirely impossible that no one is at the bank. They might playing facebook or busy texting and for the men are busy sexting to the girl friends married or not. Social media is not good for the business. Well after they make money on my money, they forget the CUSTOMERS !!!!. GOODBYE SO AND SO WE HAVE YOUR $$$. Today is Friday 02/18/2022, by Tuesday 02/22/2022 I will close my account with Citibank at Magnoilia Ave Corona Ca 92879. Branch has an automatic connection to the main Customer Service, and yet cannot give information about the bank services. i used to go to the Main Street Branch which is no more. But since opening 2004 account, no complaints ever, neither at the Main street Branch nor the Magnolia Branch. Citibank definitely my favorite bank. Employees very courteous and helpful! In the last 3 months I had 4 issues, none of which of Citibank's making. Both the Magnolia Branch and the toll free customer immediately jumped on it and went even beyond their duty to be helpful. Best bank in Corona in my opinion. . read more

Citibank is the only bank I have encountered worse than Wells Fargo. I honestly don't know how they stay in business. There is no accountability in the organization. I traveled to branch in Corona, CA as there is not one locally and manager indicated she would "submit request" to do what the letter I provided said they would do six months ago. The Worst bank ever. A week ago I came into this branch to open up sav acct with daughter. branch manager happened to help us but due to computer system problem, I was told to leave a check for the deposit. She said she will set it up on Monday when system goes back on & she'll mail me the receipt & all acct info. Here we are a week later no call or mail.....when I went into the branch, no one knew what I was talking about, no record and I was told branch manger has been on vacation since Monday & she'll be back Wednesday. Ran into branch to break a 100. Teller refused because I do not bank with Citibank. Now I remember why I left them so long ago for a smaller credit union. Ran across the street to Union Bank. Wow, I can't believe how horrible this bank has become in such a short amount of time. When I first opened my account about 5 years ago, they were great. Excellent customer service, great online banking features, and I felt secure. My, how things can change quickly... First off, this past weekend my account was broken into. Somehow, my card number and PIN were stolen. since I have never lost my card nor do I ever really use my card at ATMs or use my PIN to make purchases, the only logical way this could have happened is if they were hacked and my account was compromised. Then, Citibank inexplicably lets the thief take $1300 in cash from an ATM. I thought there were limits to prevent this kind of thing from happening?!?! $1300 from an ATM? Ridiculous! Finally, they send me a new card, but as my luck would have it, Citibank, for some random reason, decided to lock me out of the new card they just sent me due to the fraud. Even though this is the new card they sent because of the fraud in the first place. So now I have no access to my account, and can get no money out, until I get a third card sent to me in 3 days. Way to go Citibank! You just lost a customer. PS: They are not in every major city. I live in Seattle now and they have zero branches in the entire state of Washington. read more

Your quintessential evil bank. Citi offers a lot and ask for a lot. Likes: $100 new checking account bonus. 0% and very good promotion on credit cards whether it be cash bank, points, or miles. Free if you have direct deposit. A lot can be done online and over the phone. Friendly staff at this branch. Branch manager is personable. Dislikes: Very dangereous if you mess up like overdraw, pay late. They will fine and fee you to death. They may work with you if you call them. Use with caution. read more

If there was a rating less than 1 star, I would have chosen that. Here is the reason. I have been using citibank for close to 10 years where I parked partial of my personal asset. Over the years, I didn't have much to ask for so the personal telephone banking department worked well. I never needed any personal service from the banker who helped to open my account. Recently I opened a business account at this branch based on my personal banking experience despite the total of 3-star Yelp reviews and three weeks later, they blocked my account first without letting me know and now they are going to close my account. Citibank is probably going through some real dark stuff behind the scenes and the type of scrutiny they are undergoing is hard to imagine but they asked for documents no other banks would ask for. I am an online retailer. If you are familiar with online retail, you know the platform you are selling at would need you to apply and once you are approved, then you start selling and everything is done online. Citibank required a seller agreement in writing signed by both parties. The communication at the opening of the account was clear enough that there wouldn't be an agreement like this available. However, the banker opened the account for me failed to communicate with me about the blocking of the account. I guess I needed to thank her for letting me know they will close my account. Have you ever heard that your bank account would be forced to close because you don't have a selling agreement in writing with one of your customers? I quickly closed all of my accounts from Citibank and immediately opened other accounts at another bank. After talking to the new bank, and a couple of my friends who used to work in the banking industry, I am sure there is something crazily dark going on with Citibank now and they are going through scrutiny from higher power and that's why they have to request ridiculous documents from their customers. If you can avoid the CitiBank on Magnolia next to the 15 freeway, I strongly suggest you do, because the poor excuse for a Manager there, was so rude and disrespectful. She was too lazy to input 2 names in her computer to cash my check, so she proceeded to lie to me and say we can't cash a CitiBank check with 2 names on it, only 1 name. So I asked her why and her response was, "That's our policy." So I asked again, "So no one can ever cash a CitiBank check if more then 1 name is on the check, even if the 2 people are related to each other?"... "Correct" she replies, "...but you can open an account and then we can cash the check for you", "you must be kidding me!" I said. Then I reluctantly said OK and then she came over to us and said you have to wait an hour. She is an angry B that definitely belongs exactly where she is.. sour-faced and unhappy. We left and went to another CitiBank location and the Teller easily cashed our CitiBank check. Seriously, it is people like that Manager (NOT the Branch Manager), that makes customer service for CitiBank the worst in the country.
