Been by this place a few time. Stopped in-today! And the food well one of the best rib dinner i have had! They fell off the bone , they tasted amazing! Had some potato salad and it was pretty good as well! The man running the place is the nicest sweetest guy ever! We will def being making this a regular stop!!

What a cool find! I love stopping at a small business and eating great food! The owner is great and his food is wonderful. We got a plate of pulled pork, a brisket plate both of these were amazing but the brisket was amazing! The Mac n cheese was a little odd but it was also addictive. Kind of tasted like nacho cheese and elbow noodles‍ The coleslaw was amazing and the potato salad was good. The chili cheese dog was huge! It does make the bun really soggy but it's tasty. The kilbasa was ok, it wasn't charged or grilled and I'm not sure it was smoked either. We would definitely stop again.

Drove 125 miles and landed here at the BBQ Shak. The reviews were good, the food not good. The man working inside was nice and friendly, we ordered two brisket plates. The person heats up brisket in a frying pan, killing any possibly of a good brisket . Why they do this is beyond me. This is Not good BBQ The coleslaw was pure white and was full of sugar. The Mac and cheese was gross. The corn muffin was ok If you know good BBQ , I would skip this place

So DELICIOUS. and INEXPENSIVE. easy to miss but if you are anywhere by the area I highly recommend eating here. I was looking for a place for lunch while I had my dog after a hike and this place seemed promising. Really happy I stopped. I recommend the pulled pork sandwich and potato salad!

Okay, so we have driven past this spot the last couple of years and it's literally a shack set way back with a bunch of tables in what appears to be a huge yard - little to know curbside appeal but do not, I repeat, do not let that stop you from getting some delicious food! The owner Scott was super personable and entertaining. Take the time to read the signs and know your options as you wait behind someone. You order and he whips everything up on the spot, one man show. I have to say the brisket was my absolute favorite and I used the spicy bbq with it. The Mac and cheese is very creamy if that's the kind you like. The corn muffins with honey butter, well my 3.5 year old thought they were a hit. The chicken bbq and teriyaki pork were delicious as well. I also purchased some of the seasoning he had for sale and can't wait to make my ribs. There are a bunch of tables with umbrellas, a stations to grab condiments and utensils. Have a seat and just enjoy the food. The smoker area "The Pit" is right in the back. Overall, it's like a food truck but smaller and stationed.

I don't know that I have ever had better BBQ. Hole in the wall place on the side of Rt 104 in New Hampton. Driven by it plenty of time, didn't see it. The owner runs it, makes all the food fresh, 7 days a week. I asked him when he closes for the season, he said when the first real snow falls. The owner was pleasant and hospitable. The food is amazing. The owner gave us samples to try. Prices are more than reasonable. Selection is great. You can get just a few ribs, a piece of cornbread and mac n cheese for under $10. Seating is all outside, there are tables with umbrellas. After we finished eating I thought a wet nap would be good, (not much to wash, it was finger lickin good). l Went to grab an extra napkin and noticed a jug of water labeled hand washing only and paper towels. This is a great place. Plenty of food for the money, great value. If you want fancy, keep driving. If you want great bbq at great prices, this is the place to go.

Good dude, good food. Ribs and pulled pork with side of beans.

No frills, good cookin! Friendly character that can cook some BBQ. Great food fast and a pleasant experience. Pulled pork, ribs and baked beans were all on point. Honest, wholesome and delicious. Thanks Scott and will be back! Cheers, Carson

Wow, the bbq here is delish! Scott obviously loves to cook and even started us out with samples! We tried the pulled pork, with his own bbq sauce, the fall off the bone ribs and the kielbasa. Everything is finger lickin' good! This is a take away (or eat outside at the tables) type of simple setting, there is no indoor eating available. But if you are driving by, the sweet bbq aroma calls you in from the road! You MUST try it!

FINALLY! Real Texas BBQ outside of San Antonio and Austin!…read more I knew from my very first sip of sweet tea that this place was going to nail it! And right out front, they proudly display their TWO smokers! Now that's respect for the increasingly lost art of real barbecue smoking! I ordered the Hickory Sausage, Brisket, Potato Salad, and Cornbread. The Brisket: Top-notch! Beautiful texture, incredible smoke flavor, and that delicious bark on top! You know brisket is done right when the smoky flavor travels right up the back of your nose as you chew. That's REAL BBQ! The Hickory Sausage: Every bit as impressive. Perfectly smoked, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The Potato Salad: Tasty, beautifully balanced, and the perfect complement to all that smoky meat. THE CORNBREAD! Finally, cornbread in Newh England that's actually PROUD TO BE CORNBREAD! Too many places up here make what amounts to a flour cake with a smidgen of cornmeal thrown in. Not here! Perfect texture, wonderful density, and that unmistakable CORN flavor. Outstanding! Our other plate featured Pork Belly and Pulled Pork. Again, beautifully smoked, tender, and full of flavor. The baked beans were terrific, and so was the coleslaw! Having lived in Texas and enjoyed some of the finest barbecue in San Antonio and Austin, I know what great Texas BBQ should taste like. This place does TEXAS BBQ JUSTICE! And coming from this Texas BBQ lover, that's one heck of a compliment!

This place is everything I love in a brewery. Private parking, graffiti, brewery sticker display,…read morecool merch, decent music, arcade games and food! Driving in I asked my husband I asked what Kettlehead is known for an he said: Beer. Yet somehow, I can't love Kettlehead. A few things occured that damaged the experience: 1. The waitress spilled a sampler all over my wristlet and cell phone. She was oblivious but she has been spilling it the whole walk to the table! She seamed put out i asked of they had bleach wipes as we were in from out of town and i didnt want mty cell phone smelling like beer all weekend. 2. The waitress stated the coin change machine is wonky and they don't own it. The coin machine worked fine but it was the first game we played, Tokyo Drift, that ate our money. I reported it and seamed like the guy didn't care. He didn't offer me a $1 to make up for it nor did he shut down the machine after my report. I feel like if you have it in your place, you should stand behind it. An issue, it should become yours. 3. The pretzels are terrible. They are like sliced and fried with no flavor. They looked like little hot dogs. We go to a ton of breweries and this is the worst pretzel experience we have ever had. Also, the waitress told us the mustard was the beer cheese and vice versa. My kid was not to happy when she ate mustard! But also, the worst beer cheese we have encountered as well. Her excuse, she has been up since 4am. Well, my husband wasn't wrong. He raved over their beer. Nobody was impressed with their food.

Hostess was very friendly and helpful. We started with the nachos which hit the spot. Cold Coors Light bottle for my hubby and I had a Raspberry Marguerita which was excellent. I tried the burnt ends platter which was delicious with French fries that were covered in cheese and bacon with a side Of sour cream. Yum! He ordered a large plate of full belly clams and enjoyed them very much. Place was really busy but very well run. Servers were very good and the service is great. Plenty of memorabilia to look at on the walls while we waited. You can sign a dollar bill and add it to the ceiling (or walls now) which was fun idea. You can see they have had quite a many visitors do that. We loved the vibe of this place and look forward to visiting again soon. We didn't order desserts because we were full but if you check out the dessert case on your way in or out, they look so delectable. I'll save room next time for dessert for sure. Thanks for a great spot!

First off, this is probably the cutest restaurant I have ever been in! They have a main area that…read moreyou walk into, an outdoor seating area for while you wait, and then a secret area that looks just like a house! We were told it'd be about an hour wait, so we waited on the outdoor patio with beautiful views. You can also get a drink while you wait which is nice. The wait ended up being way shorter though, and we got seated in the "house" area. It was so adorable, and all of the hostesses & waitresses were so sweet and friendly! I ordered the lobster mac & cheese (because when in Maine!) and it was so decadent and loaded with that Maine lobster. The garlic bread on the side was amazing as well. It was a little pricey but again, the amount of lobster really reflected the price. Overall a cute and tasty restaurant with lots of fun options!
