Anyway, the food tasted good but not great, no presentation here, our server was the only server in the entire restaurant and they really need to hire more staff because it gets very overwhelming, you feel it from the attitude our server had at that time which is understandable. Waiting for 8 table as the server and taking orders, running back and fort it was chaos. Ambience was good, korean music playing at the background and kpop on flat screens. We were a party of five and new to the place so we took our time, we didn't know that the unlimited offer needs to be the whole table or no unlimited orders at all; watch out. Refills on the side dishes was great, but only concern was the staff shortages, the greeter was no where to be found, would be nice if that guy helped our server, we had to wait for our order for a long time, it wasn't even cooked yet and we were at the bbq so we were cooking, all was needed was the meat to come to us but just too many groups to serve with only one server, crazy! I'm writing this as we are waiting to pay the bill. The manager or owner was so disappointing. She's a female wearing all black with short reddish hair. She legit sat down talking to her friends the whole entire time we had dinner. We watched as people waited at the front and guests who were already seated waiting for drinks or food. I'm not blaming the servers because I see them working and running around. I'm calling out the manager who didn't bother to get up and help your employees at all. We had to wait after 2 rounds of cooked meat to get water. Our server was behind and needed help. The manager did however get up once to help her friends at the table get a refill and whatever else they needed. We did the ayce and it was okay. I've had better, but it's close to home and we decided to try it out. We had the brisket, which is the same anywhere to you to be honest. The bulgogi could be better. A little on the plain side for me. I did enjoy the spicy tripe and the spicy bulgogi. My least favorite was the steak joomooluk. It was super tough even when I tried to cook some medium rare. This place--how should I put it nicely--well, sucks. It really does. You try for yourself, like I have 3 times, and you'll agree. They're very sneaky too. They place a 2-hour time limit on you when you order from the all-you-can-eat menu (very limited choices, by the way) but after the first round, they're very slow in getting you more food. You can tell they intentionally ignore you. You have to try very hard to make eye contact to get their attention. And when you remind them, they give you attitude, saying ok, OK!, and looking annoyed. Then they take SO long to bring you what you want. Anything to discourage you from eating more, I guess. I came here ready for the all you can eat like I've done in the past. I was all geared up and ready to consume large amounts of protein! Unfortunately upon entering, I learned that this is no longer an option. The hostess explained that they swapped it out in exchanged for larger portions of single choices of meats and better quality. I was a bit skeptical however dinner still turned out just fine... well good actually. I admit that the quality of the Kalbi, short ribs and wine marinated pork belly was a bit better. The seasoned / marinated meats had a lot of flavor and overall I loved the other dishes we ordered too. My wife and I loved the Kim Chi Bulgogi Bibimbop and spicy seafood soup. Still loved the side dishes and our service was great. They even gave us another order of Kalbi on the house! BTW. The beef short rib was really thick and super meaty. Being that this was my first time at Korean BBQ joint, I am rating this place based on stomach satisfaction only. Obviously, my stomach was a fan. After waiting awhile for our server to greet us (we were sat without our third person which I would not recommend here unless you know what you want to order right away. [They seem to ignore you until they see you are ready.] No messing around here with efficiency.) We started with the pan fried dumplings which I thought were pretty amazing, especially when dipped in the awesome soy/chili/garlic sauce that they came with. Maybe I was just hungry. For our entrees, we all went for the $22 all-you-can-eat grill (and ended up only having three things...I would recommend going hungry so you get your money's worth and can try more options). We ordered Bulgogi, Kalbi, and Spicy Chicken. ALL were delicious. I didn't have the patience for the chicken to steam in the little foil packet, so I mostly had the two beef orders and the veggies. AND lots of the sides. I have NO idea what any of the sides or sauces were but they were all awesome. Most of them were spicy too which made me happy because I likeah the spice. I also really liked the bean paste and the little bowl of pure sodium they put in front of me. (Not sure what either are really called but both are YUMMY.) Overall, the service was decent (the ladies checked on our grill several times and made sure that we were cooking everything correctly, got us refills, and asked if we were okay), the food was pretty good, and the experience was fun. Food was ok, typical Korean BBQ affair, but the worst part of this restaurant was its services and its self imposed 18% gratuity. I went there with 4 people for BBQ buffet, the menu clearly stated that the 18% gratuity only applies to 6 people and above, but we were presented the bill with the 18% tips. We immediately questioned the waitress about it, she had no answer for it and almost pretended that she didn't speak any English at all. Seeing the situation, we reluctantly obliged and paid, but I vowed not to go back again. The worst has yet to come, however; one of the waitresses took our paid bill to the counter, yet she didn't know that we had included the 18% already. So, when we were ready to leave, she stopped us, using a very harsh and impolite tone, accusing us of missing 18% tips. Have a few hours... want to meet up with friends and socialize for a bit... while you cook your own meat and eat? Yes.. this is a good place to go. Been here with lots of friends and family. Nice place in Schaumburg/Roselle area. Lots of parking outside. You kind of share it with a Jewel grocery store. Service is good. Could use a few more servers, but at least they are somewhat attentive here. Since we went in groups of 8 or more, we called in and reserved our seats. So we were seated right away on my visits. It is about $22 per person for all you can eat. You can pretty much ask for any kinda of meat, and they bring it to you... best thing i like about this place is, you can ask for several different kinda of meat, and they don't mind bringing them over. Ive been to places before where they won't bring it, until you've finished whats cooking on your grill first. The meats are marinated well and portion wise is pretty good too. There is a small buffet table with lettuce, mushrooms, onions etc... so you can just get up and grab as much as you want, to eat with your meats. They do serve side dishes as well. But I don't think they have alot of varieties. Mainly some pickled radishes, kimchees, etc. After the meal, we were served a ginger cinnamon drink. Which is nice, but not really my thing. I'm not a ginger fan. I've enjoyed myself here, all the times I've been here. I have no complaints. If you need to get your Korean bbq in, this is a great place to get it. Side note - You might not want to wear very nice clothes here... cus you'll smell like bbq and smoke afterwards. This has to be the WORST Korean bbq place I have ever been to, and yes, I am Korean so I know a thing or two about Korean bbq. It's not even that I expect it to be top quality meat for unlimited, but the meat here is beyond TERRIBLE and the unlimited bbq price is NOT cheap or worth it at all. The chadolbaegi beef was SO past freezer burnt that it was so dry and thick and it crumbled after cooked. It's supposed to be the cheaper cut of meat, too. The fact that they served us crap SANDPAPER meat for the cheaper meat on menu is just ridiculous. How they can serve that meat is beyond me. They probably had that meat forever and still served it instead of throwing it away. On top of that, there was another table behind us that automatically got the salad and lettuce/veggie wraps, but I had to look over and ask the waitress why we didn't get the same. She then went and got us some - like, really? Both tables are eating unlimited and you don't give us the same side dishes until I ask about it? When "Jigeul" (as written in Korean on the sign) first opened up they had one of the best supplies of meat I'd seen in Chicago Korean BBQ joints. Beautiful marbled ribeye cuts that just melted in your mouth. Unfortunately, that only lasted about 6 months before they lost that source of beef. The replacement was okay but disappointing to say the least. Fast forward several years... I know that when you choose the all-you-can-eat option that the meat quality is not going to be very good. Tough cuts that they've tried to tenderize. No matter as long as you're really hungry and eat your money's worth. The problem is this place keeps bringing out worse and worse meat the longer you sit and eat. Stuff will come out literally frozen if you stay there long enough. Absolutely ridiculous if you ask me. The last time I ate there, and that will be my last time ever, one waitress very condescendingly chided my wife and I for allowing the cooking surface to burn. I explained to her that they weren't bringing out our requested meat in a timely fashion so the pan would just start burning. She then proceeded to instruct us like we were little children how to operate the burner. I had had just about enough at that point and told her that if she didn't want it to burn that she could supply the meat on time and cook her damn self for us like other waitresses were doing for their tables. At that point she realized her mistake and started apologizing profusely but the damage had already been done. We lost our appetite and left. The only good thing about this place is that they have a veggie bar that is self serve so you can bring as many onions, garlic, mushrooms or lettuce to go with your meat and not have to worry about the stink eye from your waitress for requesting more. Very interesting experience unique restaurant. I selected the all you can eat Korean bbq. I was with a large group and sat in the private area with bbq pits on the tables. The Korean beer called OB was weak the tea was served in large plastic cups for used for water and soda I prefer tea served in an appropriate cup. The food was very good and the service was surprisingly outstanding. The BBQ pits were very clean the the smoke was not unbearable. Your clothes and hair will smell so if you are planning to go somewhere afterwards you will reek of BBQ Korean food. I like this restaurant for Korean bbq and would visit again. The quality of the food is good and makes for an entertaining night out. It's fun to try new things and for me this was a new thing and I had a lot fun and good food. read more

I WILL NEVER go here again. I was actually forced to tip in a Korean restaurant (it is not customary to tip in the Korean culture). The owner came over to me and told me that the tip was not included and gave me the bill. Then I gave a $4 tip and then she came around, grabbed the check, and persisted to tell me how I didn't tip last time either. So I proceeded to tell her that i just had left a tip and even after that, she gave me more sass and said I needed to tip more. She also added that I needed to tip more next time and I said to her that I will never be back again. On top of everything there was a long black hair in my lettuce- worst experience ever. Out of all the all the you can eat BBQ places, this one is great. The meat is good and tasty. Not cut super thin and unmanageable like some places. Their sauces are the usual fair. The sides are pretty good except the fish cake side dish is alil bit too mushy for me. But the other stuff we're good. The lettuce to make wraps are nice, crisp and fresh. I like that there is a service button to press so we don't have to crane our necks out looking for someone. All in all we had a good time here! read more

Only having tried Korean bbq once before (and with very rude service), I was expecting the same kind of service here. Not the case. Erwin P. and I went for dinner last night because strangely enough, all I wanted was Korean bbq with all the fixins' (bring on the pickled everything!) We got the unlimited special ($22pp) so that we could try a few different meats. Our server helped us with our first set of choices, showed us to the "veggie bar" and took our drink orders. The veggie bar has sliced mushrooms, sweet potato, huge lettuce leaves, and other things. I took a glance and went back to our table. I wanted meat and kimchi. Thanks. :) Our server started up our grill and went to get the huge assortment of side dishes (called banchan) that included miso soup (delicious with zucchini), about 3 types of pickled veggies, 2 others, kimchi, salad, and rice. We chose galbi and bulgogi to start with. The galbi was so good! Juicy and perfectly marinated. The bulgogi was good too, just a bit too thin for me (i.e. a little dry unless you only grilled it for about 20secs each side). The last meat we tried, however, was the star: chadolbaegi. Thin slices of beef (menu said brisket? but def was not brisket), rolled up and heaped onto a plate. They brought a little mixture for us to dip the meat in before grilling since it wasn't already marinated. The mixture must've been something like sesame oil, salt, pepper... maybe something else? Either way, a little dip in there, onto the grill and into my mouth. I wish we had ordered this first! It was seriously delicious and the best part of the meal. Now I know what to order every single time I'm doing Korean bbq! After we chowed down, our server brought some sweet rice water which was the perfect palate cleanser. It tasted like orchata to me, and was a lovely ending. Overall, for not being a Korean customer, being a newbie, and trying a new spot, we had a really good experience at BBQ Hut and will definitely be back! Unfortunately BBQ Hut no longer has unlimited all you can eat. This means spending a lot more to get your fill. I love Korean BBQ but BBQ Hut probably wouldn't be my favorite place to go. Meat is decent, some pieces are a little older so tough to chew and flavor is light and nothing special. Sides and such were delicious and had a wide variety. What was nice is that they refilled them without being asked. Veggies(lettuce and green onion mix) were fresh but for some reason weren't refilled consistently. I love my veggies and eat a lot of them! Rice didn't come out until halfway through our meal and by that time we were too full to consume the portions. The soup that I usually love was meh. Not as good as the other places I've been to. Atmosphere was fun, nice big screen TVs playing Korean Pop. I didn't understand a word but it was fun to see the music videos. Service was lackluster. We had a big group so that might be why. Didn't get refills on water unless asked and they just weren't very friendly. Overall the experience was ok. I love everything about this place. I have eaten at several other Korean restaurants and this place is my favorite. The owners will go out of their way to make sure your dinning experience was the best they can offer. If its your first time eating Korean, let them know. If you like it spicy let them know. They think most Americans don't eat spicy so they automatically make a milder dish. Its good but does not have all the flavor as the Korean style. This was one of the worse experiences I had in a while so let me take you on a journey. Firstly just entering the building there is a huge screen of k pop just playing infront of you and literally no one at the front to greet us. Moving onto our seats the fucking grill is a flat table top with a place for a fire, however they use this weird as stone to cook the meats instead of an actual metal rack sheet thing which is 100 percent better. But whats even worse is that there were iron sheets grills ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RESTAURANT!!! This literally shows how lazy the quote on quote staff really is to just change out these racks when we eat. Moving on I can't even get to how bad the food actually was. The meats that they provided were all so bland and dry and had no seasoning what so ever on it. The rice wasnt even asian standard and all the other condiments that came along just looked so gross . Moving on the service was one of the most horrendous things possible, you litterally have to CLEANNN Your Own GRILL!! like ??? They gave you like paper towels in which you have to get slightly wet and clean off all the gunk that came from the food. Talking about gunk you cook like half your meats in actual aluminum foil which is absolutly mind boggling. Not to mention the meats are flooded in the raw stuff that you would find in the meats you would get at the supermarket. Finally talking about the price. IT COSTS 35 DOLLARS FOR A SINGLE PERSON FOR THIS MID ASS SHIT. NOT TO MENTION that if you go with a group of 5 or more they add an 18% tip to your total automatically Like what?!???? Solid 4 stars. I like this KBBQ place compared to others simply for the unlimited meat option they have here. I went to one in Chicago once with a group, paid like 20 bucks and barely ate anything. Been here a few times with a group of 4 or so and always do the unlimited for $25 per person. They changed it so that you can only be there for 2 hours now, which is meh. This last time I was there for the full 2 hours but there was a lot of waiting, whether it was for the meat to cook or for them to bring out more meat. But I definitely feel like I got my money's worth. The beef bulgogi and other beefs were pretty good. Pork belly was delicious but I could have done with out the pork sirloin. Ordered the chicken one (not gizzard) but the group didn't like that one at all. Squid bulgogi was all right but we didn't get spicy and that possibly was the reason it had like no flavor. Staff is always nice whenever we go, but sometimes i feel like they don't think we know what we're doing and start it for us. One time a bus boy literally just stood there and cooked for us for like a good 15-20 minutes even though we didn't ask and he didn't even say anything. Weird read more

BBQ Hut is a korean restaurant with an all you can eat option. The only thing I've had here is the all you can eat, which runs about $30 after tax/tip and no drinks. The meat selection is pretty good but the winners for me are always the chadolbaggy (thin brisket) and the kalbi (marinated, though they have unmarinated too). Sometimes my dining companions order pork belly, spicy pork, and beef tongue but I usually stick with the aforementioned 2. Meat quality is pretty good and consistent. For me the second judging point for a korean place is the panchan. This place is pretty good with variety, you get the classics and usually 2-3 things that rotate each time. I haven't had anything phenomenal but most of it is good. The service is fairly asian but as long as you're aggressive about pushing the call button or flagging a waiter, you'll be fine. Sometimes if you're lucky for dessert they'll give you some sweet rice drink. They run out occasionally and that's sad. Whenever we want some solid korean bbq we usually end up here. It's a bit far from our house but as soon as that grilled meat touches your mouth all is forgotten. read more

I'll say that the food is delicious. The price here for a bbq buffet, I believe, is cheaper compared to the other Korean BBQ restaurants that I have been to but not by much. Their food is good and there are condiments for your cooking in the middle of the restaurant which I like. You can get your own condiments for your bbq for your liking. The food is delicious but There is this waiter there, I don't remember her name but she works almost everyday she has short hair, kind of chunky. Because of her, my family and I choose to not go back. For many reasons. 1. We ask her to let us grill our own food and she refused to let us. 2. She gives us unwanted attitude. 3. The server was very nice in explaining the new format to us, and I actually felt bad for her because I'm sure she's had to explain how things are to many disappointed hungry people. I even pointed at the menu! Then that server got nothing to say but said my sick girlfriend can't touch the beef....OK yes mum, she won't touch anyway but they just weird! The whole dinner when you ask for something you need to wait at least 5-10 minutes from them to come back, gosh! OK, the best part was when we asked for the check, the server, who is the woman gave us the bad service for the whole night said" I will put 18% tips on the top of your bill, is it ok?" I have been going here pretty frequently because I feel like this place is a lot better than the other AYCE korean bbq in the suburbs. As I started to go there more, the service started to improve more and more frequently. My friends and I always ordered the brisket, beef bulgogi, steak joomoluk (sorry about my spelling), and pork sirloin. We never got the chicken because chicken is the cheapest meat and if we were spending $27 on AYCE... why get chicken? All the ladies that work there are old Korean moms. With that being said, they basically treat you like their kids and "mom" you thinking you can't cook your meat throughly or can cook overall. Yesterday, August 10th, 2019, My friends and I went to eat there and the workers we're frequently checking in on us asking if we needed more side dishes or meat. Once we got the paycheck, we paid with cards but didn't put any tip. I had cash and decided to hide it under a dish. When we were about to leave, one of the woman workers ran after us asking for a tip. We told them it was on the table. I'm definitely shocked from this experience because why would you run after someone for a tip. Tips are optional, we don't have to give them. Also, for AYCE kbbq for $27.... the meat should be more marinated and/or the korean mom's shouldn't be running after you for a tip. read more

Today I stopped for dinner and was disappointed $16.99 for Kimchi with tofu. I ordered #37 and it supposed to be pork-belly kimchi, true is that it was mostly kimchi with several pieces of white tofu, and counted it was maybe few small pieces of pork belly, to do it I had to dig up in kimchi. Not sure why the name say pork- belly it should be Kimchi with.... They charge $25 for all you can eat and $17 for kimchi which is cabbage with onion - for me that dish is a joke. read more

Very friendly! I really enjoy the food here. It is especially good during lunch when they have their lunch time specials for $7. They include a main course and 6, yes 6, sides! At dinner, I typically take out. The bimbimbop is good. However, my favorite dish so far has actually been the most surprising: a cold, noodle soup. It was so tasty and spicy that I drank up every last drop! So why the four stars?: price. While lunch is reasonable, they raise their prices for dinner. We went on a quiet Thursday evening around 7. About half the restaurant eventually filled up while we were there, and it was overall a pretty good atmosphere for dinner. They give you alot of banchan dishes (little side dishes) and the all you can eat is $22 I believe. You start off with 3 types of meat, and then after that you can order additional ones. We had: Bulgogi: not bad Galbi: really good - will get again Spicy pork: not bad Bulgogi with squid: really good - will get again Service was pretty good, and remember, if you ever need service they have those buttons at your table to ring for service. They don't point it out when you're seated, so alot of people don't realize, but it's nice since then they don't have to check on you all the time and interrupt your conversation. Our server might have been the owner; she was very sweet and nice. Note to newbies: If the meat you ordered for the grill comes in a foil pack, you put the foil pack directly on the grill, wrapped up. Don't open it up and put the contents on the grill. That is wronnnnng and you may get yelled. We let our server put the meat on the grill for us, so we found out discreetly that the foil pack goes directly on the grill, since she did it for us. If you want rice, ask for it! Not everyone eats rice, so they won't serve it unless you ask, and it's pretty quick from when you ask to when you receive it. Lettuce/veggie/mushroom/sweet potato bar is nice, since you can help yourself. FYI grilling the mushrooms and eating it with the meat is awesome... Bathrooms are very clean; I was pleasantly surprised, since chinese restaurants usually have really gross bathrooms. Why can't they learn from the Koreans? Sigh. Will be returning Thursday of this week with a bigger group. Last I went I didn't remember seeing large tables, most accommodate 4, so i'll update after on larger group accommodation. read more

Always wanted to try a Korean BBQ place, so my boyfriend and I decided to try the BBQ Hut. We felt a little out of place walking in there and didn't really understand the menu or the waitress. But she did her best at helping us. We got the Bulgoki and Galbi (what I was familiar with from my grandmas cooking). It was fun cooking the food yourself at the table. My brother selected this location for his birthday dinner and they were very accommodating to our group. This was my first time trying Korean BBQ. I was a little worried when we sat down to look at the menu and I had no idea what anything was. We were immediately served over 15 mini-plates of different dishes to try. I tried them all but not a lot were my cup of tea. Our meat selections came out quickly as did the appetizers and fried rice. After the first bite of meat I was already a fan of Korean BBQ. We tried the squid but I think it was overcooked in the tin foul. The parts that were edible were tasty. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful when making selections. My favorite part of this restaurant is the kpop music and music videos playing on the TVs. Aside from that I usually go here for the budae jeongol (more commonly known as budae jjigae). I've tried it at many other places but BBQ Hut's version is always the best to me. Unfortunately, none of the other dishes I've tried really stand out as awesome. Tonight my boyfriend and i teied this place out and were not disappointed. We love trying new asian spots out. We had the seafood hotpot and found it to be delicious. It had a spicy kick with a ton of seafood. The portion was huge, i think 4 people could have easily ate that. Our servers were really attentive and sweet. Avoid this place if you're not going to order their AYCE. Had a party of 5 and we didn't order AYCE but just individual plates of meat and other food. Was not greeted by the waitress until we had to press service button. We asked for more sauce because they only gave 2 but was surprised when the waitress said it'll cost 60¢ extra per sauce also there is extra cost if you want to refill the banchan(side dishes). Don't waste your time here and money and go 92 Town Korean BBQ (across from this place) which has great service, they cook the bbq for you, unlimited sauces and banchan. read more

I'm going to make this simple: Good: meat was great, tender, and quality of the kalbi was great. Bad: Ran out of kalbi! (you serious??? Yes!) Okay if I'm going to pay $30 dollars for kalbi buffet, I expect to get kalbi until I do not want anymore, not when the restaurant runs out or decides not to give any more. It was terrible as my friends sat their in disbelief that they would claim to not have any more marinated kalbi. simply disappointing. That is just poor customer service and business management. I'm sorry but a kalbi jeep (buffet) turning into just a jeep (buffet) is absurd! If they didn't run out of meat this would definitely get 4 stars easily based on taste and quality but don't expect to get your fill as you should. Also the bulgogi for lunch was a major disappointment as well. The meat was over cooked and just flaky. So its your gamble, maybe it was on a very busy day but there should be no excuses. we were just at San Soo Gab San in the city a month or so ago and we had mentioned that we missed the all you can eat at BBQ Hut since it wasn't so expensive. well, guess that's out the window as BBQ Hut is no longer all you can eat. The food there was pretty decent, but the biggest draw for this place was the all you can eat for ~$22. We were there last weekend and it was probably the last time we will be going there. Regardless of the food and it's no longer all you can eat, the service was horrible, and the place wasn't even packed! it took about 2 hours for dinner because of all the waiting we had to do. we didn't even get rice with our meal! we had to ask the guy 3 or 4 times and even then, we were finished with the meat before we even got the rice. so we just sat there watching korean pop music videos as we waited for our food to come so we could grill it... not sure why it would take longer than 20 minutes to bring raw meat to our table for us to cook. the portions were also very small. we grilled up the kolbi and it filled up a small app plate, hardly enough for one person to eat and it was $22 for it! water and the side dishes weren't being filled up as well and we had to keep asking for it. all in all, such a bad experience for a place that had just had a remodel and rolled out a new menu. time for us to find a new go to for Korean BBQ... read more

Service can be a little shoddy at times- had to ask for water and the miso soup twice, but might've been because this place was packed with people. But even with the unimpressive service, it turns out I'd love their food enough to let it go. We got the beef combo- comes with lettuce, sweet potato, onions, etc. and miso soup, which fed and satisfied 4 people. Also got the dol sot bibimbap, which has been the most authentic-tasting I've had so far. Spent around $80 for a party of four, all of whom left the restaurant on a "meat daze," which is always a good sign ;) Overall, I'd say this place is worth a try. We went there for their all you can eat dinner special. The food was fresh, the price was very reasonable, and the portion was very generous! They also have a few items that are usually not offered at some other Korean BBQ places. This place is under new ownership, and the staff/owners are extremely helpful. read more
