While you progress to your table you'll pass by a showcase of varied meats a lot of which is Wagyu! The displays were clean and well organized surely to amp up your appetite. In a glass room you'll notice one of the chefs operating a meat slicer as the meat is cut fresh upon ordering. As I'm sure some of you Korean BBQ fanatics have experienced some restaurants have pre portioned frozen meats. Don't skimp out on this restaurant, the food quality is high so make the most of it! While honeymooning in Sydney my wife and I were on the hunt for "Yangnyeom Gejang". Neither my wife nor I are Korean but "Yangnyeom Gejang" is Spicy Marinated Raw Crab. If you've never tried it and are open minded seriously give it a try as its not readily available. The crab dish was extremely well portioned and makes for a great side dish/appetizer. The banchan was superb and you'll be offered a variety of side dishes to accompany your meal. Aside from the raw crab we ordered Wagyu Beef Tongue, Galbi, and Pork belly! All of which satisfied us and we were well satiated! Whether you're just visiting or a local resident I HIGHLY recommend Jang Ta Bal for your next Korean BBQ venture!

We weren't even serious. The Korean fried chicken here is great, the servings are massive and you can do half orders to try different flavours. The Soy is good and so is the Spicy, but the Spicy is more sweet than spicy. The hot pot is awesome, so I would recommend that as well. If you decide to get the Chilli Cheese Chicken...just be warned that it is VERY spicy...like to the point you're sweating and feel like dying. The side dishes are good and so is the seafood pancake, would recommend trying most of the menu. Don't forget to get some beer too to wash down the chicken.

Not to mention, their prawns are always so large! A kilo of those and you've nearly made back your money! An extra $3 gets you unlimited soft drinks. I would also recommend getting a bottle of soju or maekgoelli (milky looking rice wine) to really complete the meal. The alcohol just enhances the experience really. That might set you back around $10-15 a bottle, though you'll be sharing so it's all a-ok. They also have a good range of hot food (e.g. fried chicken, japchae, which are these noodles, korean pancakes, dumplings, sushi) and korean soups (such as spicy tofu soup). There's lots to eat and plenty of veggies around to accompany all that meat. They also have a little bibimbap station for you to assemble your own! I'd eat that last as rice is super filling. If you feel like splurging more, they offer a premium set that includes a set of sashimi and crazy wagyu beef. It's around an extra $20 a head. Personally, I don't think it's worth it as it's only an one off (e.g. only one serving of sashimi and wagyu) but feel free to try it! Either way, you need to make this place your go to KBBQ. The Korean recipe for Beef ribs is the best ever and whenever I dine Korean I order ribs if they are on the menu, if you like ribs you must check it out. I played it safe and just went for the wagyu mixed grill. The ordering process is QR code based (scan the code on your table, put in your order, food shows up). I made our food and drink selections and within literal seconds a team of 3 people descended on our table with all of the sides and drinks, quickly followed by the meat platter. The sides were really good, especially the kimchi which we had to get refilled a couple of times. The wagyu meat selection was phenomenal and in all it proved to be the exact right amount for a group of 3 of us. I've been to Seoul before and had good Korean BBQ in several major cities in the US as well. I honestly think this was the best I've had.
