I have to be completely honest. We didn't do our part on picking correct insurance policy,…read morehowever. When I communicated to ABR and spoke to Mel he was extremely helpful and communitive. He spoke to me the entire time up until the work was being complete. No fault to his. But I expressed to him I didn't have a good experience in the past using mitigators because I feel like some of the work is done to ensure we need to replace whatever is touched by water. They are going to tell you it is by code and policy. However, in my case where things went wrong the amount charged to basically dry my flooded rental was ridiculous and most of the work was unnecessary. Most people will not care because their goal is to bill the insurance company for as much as they possibly can. This time it backfired because the insurance didn't cover it and the so called restoration done which was removing anything that was touched by the toilet water that leak was cut and removed. That includes dry wall, carpet etc. Being that I understand this space, we all know that this all would have to be removed anyway once I hire someone to remodel. So now I am was stuck with almost a $10k bill, and damaged house, and no contact to fix, and this bill is for them to basically removed pieces that was touched (by the way some didn't have to be removed). It was my understanding they was going to handle the job from beginning to end but I guess that is only if the insurance company is paying. Once I was sent to the financial person she assumed I couldn't pay for it and basically only wanted to speak about my payment to them. She apologized for it so no foul there but business wise it doesn't feel good being left with this damage and they get their money and run. The reason I am doing a two star is because Mel was pleasant and answered the phone every time. I will say that this service is not necessary in most cases and if you want to get the most from the insurance company then go for it. But if you have a good contractor, I would go with them and have them go through the insurance company. At least you have an option to approve work, be notified of cost etc. I didn't have the luxury of doing so. Was an very expensive mistake on my behalf but we live and we learn. I take accountability for my part, but could never get them to do the same. Hate to be the first one to leave a not so good rating.

From the beginning of the project things went sideways. Our siding salesman promised hardiplank, installed a lesser product that wasn't even the same style. The salesman was fired, but we didn't get what we thought we were paying for. As for the roof, after it was installed, we had a leak that caused some water damage in bedroom, but it was fixed. Fast forward 4 years (we had roof/siding installed in May, 2021), we woke up a few weeks ago after a rainstorm to find water damage in the master bathroom, master bedroom and on the main floor in the kitchen. I called and asked Escex to come look for the leak. Mark Chapin, the roofing manager came out and told us that there was a 'dead spot' on the roof and that he would repair it but it wasn't covered under warranty. He would do the work himself for slightly under $600. I was skeptical, so therefore got another estimate from a well known roofer, who pointed out where they believed the leak came from and why. Below are current day pictures-4 years later. I asked about the quality of work, and the relationship to the leaks., sent emails and left voicemails for Escex Owner ADAM HUMPHREYS-he didn't return any of them. Mark told me he was limited in what he could do because the warranty expired? I wonder if this is the 'quality' Escex is so proud of and if they stand behind this type of workmanship and poor customer service?

The work, communication, and finished product were great. In 2014 we had to have a new roof put on because of hail damage. It was an awful experience that dragged on for months. Because of this, I was completely distrusting of roofing companies. In 2023 we found ourselves in need of roofing repair again, because of extensive hail damage. A friend I trust recommended Robert Hamilton at Roofing Done Wright. Robert came to do a free inspection, and unlike my past roofer, did not require me to sign any contracts upfront to get an inspection. I explained to Robert the horrendous experience we had had in the past and warned him of my immense distrust for roofing contractors. He completely understood, and was very patient with explaining how his company was different. In the end, Robert helped navigate and coordinate with my home insurance company, and was prompt on follow-through and updates, and unlike our last experience, the old roof was off, and the new roof was on... in one day. It was so professional. On top of this, we needed some soffit and fascia repair, as well as replacement of all siding on our exterior chimney. Robert provided us with several quotes for repair options. The work was pretty extensive, and Robert's team had it all completed in 2 days. Once again, Robert's communication was consistent, and he was here at our home to supervise the completion of the work and make sure that we were completely satisfied. Unlike my first go around with roofing repair, this time around it was stress-free. Thanks to Roofing Done Wright.

As a homeowner, I'm not someone who knows all the technical details, and I found myself having to ask very direct questions about licensing, tax IDs, and insurance just to feel protected. Working with Total Pro Roofing was a huge step forward in rebuilding that trust. MJ came highly recommended by a neighbor, and from the very beginning, he and his team were transparent, patient, and thorough. I wasn't going to be present during the project, so my mother acted as the on-site representative. MJ took the time to meet with her multiple times, provided pamphlets and documentation, and promptly supplied updated proof of insurance and Georgia tax ID when requested. I even contacted their insurance agent directly -- and everything checked out. The work itself was impeccable. The team completed the job in a single day, and when an unforeseen issue arose involving prior water damage and a punctured ceiling, they didn't hesitate to return and make flawless repairs. They were honest about the additional work needed and followed through with care and professionalism. I also want to highlight Amber at headquarters, who was absolutely wonderful -- always accessible, helpful with payment options, and quick to assist with warranty documentation and any questions I had. All in all, Total Pro Roofing didn't just replace shingles -- they truly repaired my roof, gutters, soffit, and more. They went above and beyond at every step, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a company that values integrity, transparency, and quality workmanship.

I had used Top Notch one other time to replace a roof on a small rental house, and the job he did on that was good so I decided to have him come out and bid on my home's roof. After getting the go ahead from the insurance company I called Mike Smallwood at Top Notch and he came to my home with samples. I wasn't liking any of the samples he brought. We discussed what I was looking for and he suggested a different set of colors and brought samples for that. We found the color that best matched the existing roof. I'm not a big fan of the large color differences in a lot of the new style roof colors. They look like checker boards. Way too busy. I like a more subtle color variance in roofs. I'm picky!! We climbed a latter and took the samples up to the roof to see how they looked. We were satisfied with the Weathered Wood Shadow. A GAF brand shingle. It was perfect. The date was scheduled but three days before the install he called and asked to push the date back one day due to the weather forecast. He was spot on. It rained heavily the day of the original schedule. On install day he met his crew early at the house. They prepared the yard with tarps to cover and protect shrubs and our swimming pool. The job took two days. The team of guys he uses were awesome. A few minor things were noticed as the new install progressed and Mike took note and took care of them in a very expeditious manner. After the roof was complete and the work finished, Mike and the crew went around the yard picking up debris, trash, and nails. The yard LOOKED fantastic when they left. We did not have to do a thing towards getting our yard back in shape. Thanks Mike for a great job. Well done. I can highly recommend you to my neighbors and friends. Of which I already have.
