I saw lots of good reviews here [on yelp]. I also had a rare sunday withour son as he was at his grandparents. If you have kids you know how the stars sometimes have to align (no pun intended) in order to take care of yourself. I called and James said I could come and they would have someone. I showed up a short while later. James turned out to be the person giving me the deep tissue massage. It was the first time I received a massage from a man and I have been getting them for 25 years. I didn't have any expectations as it was short notice on my part but he was great. He has pointy elbows and strong knuckles. He found a lot of knots. Most importantly I felt truly relaxed. I really zoned out. The ambiance was quite peaceful. It is in a small commercial property surrounded by auto repair places and near the 22. Since it was Sunday, it was quiet. The air conditioning was perfect as it was over 100 degrees outside. The AC added white noise and whatevee music they played was masked by the air. I heard James to someone else a couple of times but his voice was so low it didn't detract. Towards the end of the massage he used the hot stones. I was surprised as I figured it would probably make more sense at the beginning then the end. However, he told me my back needed it and I went with it. The massage included some light stretching. I felt rejuvenated and pleasantly surprised. The store was covered in "People Love Us On Yelp!" Stickers. I really shouldn't be surprised how good it was. The only thing that bothered me was the face whole in the bed. My chin was sore as if the cushioning at the bottom was less than at the top where my forehead was. This is still an improvement over some places where there is no facial opening in the bed. I payed $72.50 ($70/hour + $2.50 for Credit Card) and $20 for a tip. I considered it a good deal.

A special thank you to Isabella, the owner, who was incredibly accommodating and made my visit exceptional. I enjoyed the steam room, massage, stem cell facial, and head spa, and every service exceeded my expectations. The lounge is beautiful, relaxing, and truly feels luxurious. The staff was friendly, happy, and professional, and their positive energy made the experience even better. I also love that they offer a monthly membership which is such a great value! I'll definitely be signing up, bringing my husband for a spa day, and planning my next girls' trip here. If you're looking for a luxurious spa with outstanding service, I highly recommend 128 Luxury Health Spa. I can't wait to come back!

This review is based on my two visits…read more I initially called to redeem a gift certificate my husband purchased for me through their website. The younger receptionist first told me that I couldn't use it toward their BOGO special. I questioned this since the gift certificate was purchased directly from their website. When I asked if they could credit my husband instead, she eventually agreed that I could use it, but only if I paid the full price for the Glow Facial rather than receiving the advertised $30 discount. The Glow Facial was recommended by the receptionist when I specifically asked which treatment would help clear out my pores. Unfortunately, I later felt that this wasn't the most suitable treatment for what I was looking for. The older receptionist was initially pleasant, but her attitude seemed to change after I shared my honest feedback about the Glow Facial. I explained that the treatment felt more focused on massage than on the actual facial. She became defensive and noticeably less friendly, particularly when I mentioned that I would consider joining Alle when I returned to redeem my BOGO facial. The interaction felt uncomfortable, almost as though I was being tag-teamed, and it eventually led to me signing up for Alle. To be fair, the esthetician was very nice. However, I was disappointed with the treatment itself. The actual facial portion lasted only about 30 minutes, with the rest of the appointment focused on massage. When I spoke with the receptionist over the phone, I had specifically emphasized that I wanted a facial, but she never mentioned how much of the appointment would be dedicated to massage. I also acknowledge that I should have read the website more carefully, as it does state that massage is included. Another disappointment was that the website lists an eye treatment as part of the service, but I did not receive one during either of my visits. I also wasn't comfortable with the treatment room door being left open, as people walking through the hallway could potentially see inside. After the treatment, guests are escorted to a back room and offered water and snacks, although the snacks felt rather cheap and underwhelming compared with the overall experience I expected. Overall, while the esthetician was lovely, the experience fell short of my expectations in terms of customer service, transparency, and the treatment itself. I left feeling disappointed, especially given the confusion surrounding the gift certificate and the lack of certain advertised services. I don't think I'll be returning and will likely explore other spas that better meet my expectations.

I got the Premium Package at $105 each, and it was such a pleasant experience from start to finish for 75 minutes. Prices are reasonable compared to the other places I was looking at in LA. You get your hair washed and treated (we both have balayages, so our hair is FRIED), a facial, and a head and neck massage! We're both dentists, so we were wishing the massage was a bit deeper, but that's all we really have to say. It was super relaxing since I was running on 3 hours of sleep. It's nice, quiet, and dark inside, and I felt my stress melt away. Might just be that I got a newbie or something but she was incredibly bad at her job. She'd never dry my ears properly leaving water and suds sitting in there for the entire time even after the service was finished. While shampooing she'd massage my neck and shoulders while her hands were full of hair product and shampoo suds, WHY?!! Hair products are NOT meant to be used on skin and she kept massaging it in and not washing it off leaving the hair product and suds just SITTING on my neck and shoulders for the majority of the service. Additionally she got water into my eyes MULTIPLE times and didn't even notice, would put a SOPPING wet towel over my eyes then run water right over it making me feel like it was a water boarding punishment, failed to dry me off properly at the end making me sit up resulting in water dripping down my back and getting my clothes wet. Then she gave me cotton swabs for me to clean my ears and when I went to try to throw it away after using it, she roughly pulled it out of my fingers so fast that the dirty cotton swabs touched my fingers leaving my ear wax on my own finger. Cherry on top she then shooed me off the chair after 5 mins of blow drying before my hair was fully dry, didn't even brush my hair until she saw me finger combing it myself. The only reason I gave more than one star is that Maybe the other head spa staff is better but I will never come back because of how bad mine was. Poor attention to detail is an understatement.

Ana barely spoke any English, but she knew I was upset and shut the door. It felt entirely intentional for nefarious reasons. When I arrived, I was asked to pay the full $60 upfront. I thought that was a little unusual, but I paid without making an issue of it. After my massage, I gave my massage therapist a $5 cash tip. After accepting it, she asked me if I had more to give her. I was honestly caught off guard because I've never had a service provider accept a tip and then directly ask me for more. I felt uncomfortable and didn't want to be rude, so I agreed to Zelle her another $10. The Zelle payment wasn't going through right away, so I told her that sometimes it takes a little while. I then left and went to my car. About five minutes later, the massage therapist came out to my car to tell me that she still hadn't received the additional $10. That made me extremely uncomfortable. I had already paid the full $60 price for my massage and had already voluntarily given her a $5 cash tip. I only attempted to send the additional $10 because I felt pressured after being asked for more. I understand that $5 is not a large tip on a $60 service, and customers are certainly welcome to tip 15-20% or more if they choose. However, a gratuity should be voluntary unless a mandatory gratuity or service charge is clearly disclosed beforehand. I don't think a customer should be put on the spot and asked to increase a tip they've already given, much less followed out to their car because an additional tip hasn't gone through yet. I came here hoping to relax and get some relief for my back. Instead, I left feeling pressured and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the way the tipping situation was handled overshadowed the entire experience for me, and because of that, I don't feel comfortable returning.
