Finally, the Day I Was Waiting For! Ever since I saw the "Coming Soon" sign, I had been eagerly waiting--and I was so excited to hear that it finally opened! I was really looking forward to enjoying the authentic taste of Korean fried chicken again, and it absolutely lived up to my expectations. I would highly recommend it to everyone. The interior, finished in a sleek black design, was more spacious than I expected, making it very comfortable. There's even an outdoor seating area, which was perfect for our family since we often dine out with our dog. It was just the perfect setup for us. The dishes we tried that day were the Honey Garlic and Soy Garlic wings--and they were incredibly crispy, with that satisfying crunch you can actually hear. The sauces were packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. Another standout dish that got a big thumbs-up from our whole family was the Rosé Tteokbokki. It had just the right amount of spicy kick and a wonderfully rich, creamy texture. It's safe to say we'll be regulars from now on. Having tried bb.q Chicken in several cities, we can confidently say the Oxnard location is the best one yet. read more

The chicken and fries combo was tasty. The young lady working the counter was helpful especially since it was my first time there. If you like big screen tv's with music in the background, this is the place! read more

The food here is super good. I always get the rose tteokbokki and honey garlic wings. There is a bit of a wait time but it's understandable as they make their food fresh to order. The wings always come out super crunchy and packed with flavor. This place has become a new favorite of mine and will for sure be coming back. read more

The food is great and the lady at the counter provides great service. Will definitely go again. Thank you!

The flavor was good but the oil used to fry the chicken must have been old or too hot not the quality Korean fried chicken I'm used too (been to other locations) . Server Mariana L. at the Oxnard location (my check number was #87) was pretty rude and not helpful at all. If I hadnt drove 30 mins to eat there before I probably would've walked out just because how rude she is, not a good representation of the company especially for this new location. read more

Third time here. So far, love the food and fast service. great customer service as well. Employees have great music taste and the ambiance is wonderful in the evening. Perfect place to go to for a comfort meal. read more

I went again and was very impressed by the improvement to their business. I would definitely recommend if you had a bad experience to give it another shot! The food was well made and the service time was much better. I didn't eat in but they have a sit down experience which I haven't seen in fast paced restaurant like this so that unique and I'm interested in trying. Well done bb.q and I wish you the best! read more

The soy garlic is always a must. And the rose ddeokbokki is good-chewy, sweet and spicy. Glad there's a bbq chicken in the area now. Love Korean fried chicken read more

Chicken is amazing and very good. So many add ons and chicken tofu is super good. Definitely recommend.

Really good chimaek. Got original golden and gangjeung boneless chicken and flavor was on point.

Got the half & half secret sauce and naked boneless and it was delicious, crispy and fresh. We will definitely be back to try other flavors. Gonzalez was a good portion too. read more

Great food and convenient very accommodating and worth waiting while they create super fresh food The wings are great

Delicious bulgogi, excited to try the other items. Cooked to perfection and the staff are friendly.

Food was really good but the service ruined everything. We waited over 20 minutes to get just the menus, we got 2/3 of what we ordered , no napkins , utensils etc There was ppl around us that were just getting up & leaving because no one attended to them. We understand that the place is new which is why we are willing to give it a 2nd chance but we just hope they figure out the service issue soon. read more

This new place in the Collection is nice and clean and perfect for a yummy bite. We got the spicy original wings, galbi boneless and tteokbokki. Everything was delicious. I do wish the online ordering worked; we had to dine in because it was unavailable until a later time. read more

The food was good, service was pretty decent too. The sauces hitt especially any of the garlic ones. The water cups were a little dirty but otherwise would definitely come again! read more

bb.q Chicken - Chicken Shop Near Me - Oxnard, California

Today was payday, so I decided to treat my son to the new Korean fried chicken spot at The Collection. We ordered the honey garlic, Gangnam bone-in chicken, and a beef bulgogi rice bowl. While the chicken was flavorful, the rice was inedible--hard, grainy, and clearly undercooked. I requested a replacement, but it was even worse. The food also took nearly 20 minutes to arrive. Unfortunately, between the poor service and disappointing food quality, I won't be returning. read more

My fav fried chicken place ever! I love soy garlic flavor the most and its in a great location :D

I ordered the Rosè Tteokbokki with cheese and it was completely inedible. The cheese tasted burnt and had a strong gas-like flavor that ruined the entire meal. I called the restaurant to let them know, and the person who answered told me it was put under the broiler--but didn't even apologize. He just stayed silent after I explained how bad it was. Terrible food, overpriced for the quality, and even worse customer service. I don't think id be ordering here again. read more

Food was amazing. Service 5/5 coming again soon! The soju was delicious convenient .... read more

I've never dined in only order Togo, the quality of food is top tier it's so very tasty my 11 yr old daughter loves the spicy wings . The only issue is there is no ranch I half to a cup of ranch from toppers for my daughters spicy wings. So no ranch sucks & 1 time the original chicken was not do good quality but for the most part the food is delicious. read more

This is the fourth time I've ordered from this restaurant and my last order was so bad I couldn't finish. The chicken was dry and had very little seasoning added. Unfortunately for me, the order was to go. The first time we went to bb.q was the second day they were open and the food was perfect. I'm afraid they've gone down too much for us to go back. read more

After a couple weeks of this restaurant's opening, their service has been superb. Despite the negative reviews of this restaurant, they've improved a lot within a short amount of time. Personally, I love the food & it's worth the wait. This isn't a fast food chain like raising canes or dave's hot chicken which is why I think majority of customers are complaining about the 30-45 minute wait. If you're willing to buy & wait 30 minutes for wingstop that has smaller wings & portions, you can wait for the same amount of time for even better quality chicken & other Korean delicacies at this restaurant. You have to have a lot of patience for excellent, delicious, authentic Korean food. The chicken is always crispy & very filling. Not to mention, their chicken portions are HUGE. The tteokbokki is my favorite. Definitely worth the money you spend. The whole atmosphere is very friendly & calming. They have sports playing on one TV & K-pop music videos playing on another which compliments their ambiance perfectly. Great place to gather with your family or go for a solo date. As a loyal customer, I'll definitely be coming back more often! If your experience at this restaurant was negative in the past, I really do recommend coming back again & giving it another shot! read more

Update: we've ordered from here a few more times and the pieces have been consistently super small! We get boneless and they are honestly nugget size. Compared to the other locations I've been to their pieces are ridiculously small. read more

The Gangnam style and soy garlic wings are absolutely delicious both boneless and bone-in! The variety available for things other than wings is also impressive, offering different soups, ramyun, rice dishes and more. The ambiance and service are both decent as well. read more
