The nail quality was great, but the lady who did my nails didn't push back the cuticle, and afterwards she pushed it back and it looked like my nails were already so grown out. In addition to that, my cuticles are not sensitive AT ALL. Yet they were bleeding. I had a couple scabs on my finger for the next couple days. Sorry guys! First off I'd like to point out that if you walk in with out an appointment trust me they let you know with the look they give. So no, walk ins NOT WELCOME. From that moment on it's just down hill. They are so rude. I went in and nicely asked if I could get a manicure and a pedicure.. they said YES, gave me a look as I waited. If you're busy and can't do it just say so!! I will be happy to go else where. Don't tell me yes and make my experience uncomfortable. My manicure was rushed and one of my finger nails were rounded to the side!!! It looked awful! My pedicure was also rushed. By the look of my face they could tell I was not happy due to there being a huge divot in the paint which I did not do because I didn't leave the chair yet. They saw my reaction with out any words being said by either of us and fixed it. I feel like if I didn't react I would have left with it like that. Overall poor experience. Only came here because my usual girl was off at Nail Spa 1(HIGHLY recommend, only several minutes down the road). Had an appointment for 5 pm for gel polish change before a big event, got there five/six minutes early. Didn't even get taken to a chair until 5:10 (place was nearly empty). The first lady I had was nice enough, she buffed off my old gel top coat and wrapped my nails in foil. After that I was waiting for longer than I've ever waited to remove the gel, I thought they had forgotten about me. Then a different woman sat down in front of me and scraped off the gel, nicking my finger in the process because of how much she was rushing. Didn't have me wash my hands and COMPLETELY IGNORED both of my requests, which were 1) to not file down my nails as I had shaped them myself, and 2) not to push back my cuticles. She very rudely replied with a short "I have to or else the gel will not stay." and then didn't wait for my response before pushing them back again. I have been getting gel for over a year now and not once have I ever had my cuticles worked on beforehand. Extremely inconsiderate of my preferences and needs as a client. The gel polish was extremely cheap and looks lumpy and uneven on my nails. Overall - customer service - nonexistent. I left with my nails looking like I had let one of the kids I babysit paint my nails with dollar store polish and a Crayola paint brush. Would NOT recommend, especially not before a big event. I lucked out with my event being in the night time, that way nobody will be able to see my nails. Save yourself the time and money. At least the salon's pet dog was cute. read more

Came to A.B nails for a gel manicure before a wedding as an out of town guest. Really happy to have stumbled upon the girls at A.B Salon. The salon is clean, their organization of the polishes was unmatched and they all made our time there way worth while. Coming from New York, I was skeptical about getting a gel manicure some place other than my normal salon- but this was cheaper and better! This nail salon is awful. My mom and I went here together to get our nails done for a wedding. It is small and we had to wait for a really long time. The person who did my nails did a really horrible job. First she tried to up-sell me on gel. She rushed through it and there were areas that were missed. There are many choices of nail salons in the area. I had a gift certificate that had expired (within 30 days) and asked if they'd accept it since I am a frequent customer. I was pleased when they said yes however when I returned with the certificate the offer had changed to only accepting it partially (one third) of face value. Then the owner (male at the register) proceeded to yell at me. With so many choices in the area, I expected better customer service and upholding the agreement of accepting the certificate even though 30 days out of date. For a measly $20 they could of had a satisfied customer who would happily recommend the establishment. I will be trying a different neighborhood nail salon. Very friendly, pay great attention to details, do not rush you, but if you are getting a mani pedi, you have the ability to get both at the same time- I know most places will do this, but I often have to ask, they cane it and ask what I would prefer. Due to a very busy Six-Day work week I have not had a chance to get to my normal salon to have a fill-in. I had about 2 hours worth of downtime and decided to try them for a fill-in. It was an absolutely horrible experience. It was explained that I needed my nails to be the same thickness they were currently due to the nature of my occupation. I break them constantly when my nails are done thin. Jack understood what I was wanting and assured me that they would stay thick and the same rounded shape. halfway through he quit to go work on another woman and had a lady take over .I asked if he had told her how I wanted the nails because she spoke very little English . he assured me that they would be done correctly. She proceeded to file my nails down super thin and then cut them from a round shape to a square. I cannot have a Square nail shape due to my work, i always break the edges off and I explained that and the fact that I'm not happy with what she had just done .but she had already filed them so short there was no fixing them. When I complained that my nails were too thin both Jack and the lady argued and said they would be ugly if they were thicker . I'm the paying customer it doesn't matter to me so much that they're abnormally thick as the only way I can have them and then be functional for me not break them constantly is to have a thicker nail. I ended up leaving with round nails that are super thin. A complete waste of time and money I definitely would not recommend using them. not only did I feel they did not listen to me and my wants/needs but they argued with me. it upsets me that I explained thoroughly to them how much I use my hands at work I work in a male-dominated industry I'm not some secretary that only has to use her hands for typing ,and that having square nails won't last for me without being chipped and broke.i feel like this was complete waste of money and time. read more

Very friendly welcome once I walked in, women who started doing my nails was obviously new. A different lady took over just in time to cut my nails short but can you say uneven! Even the nail Polish for my French manicure was uneven. The service was very nice and friendly but as for my nails not so much.
