I knew I left some curtain hangers up, I knew a cabinet it the kitchen had a little damage and with me having two little girls, there would be some minor things that would be repaired. I get my report after leaving and those little screws and small wall damage is costing me over $600 dollars. They claim the paint is $500 plus and I'm being charged for cracks in the walls (foundational issues). They claimed I didn't leave their valet trash bin, I DID! Not to mention I took a video when I left. I'm being charged $1259!!!! I left bc I lost my job and couldn't afford it anymore, but how the hell do they want me to pay this?! 10 days after I left????? I'm going to post the video just to show how clean the unit was!! I still had a table in there bc my dad had to take it apart and pick it up, but the place was spotless! Oh they made me pay to have the carpet professionally cleaned before leaving also! I'm mind boggled at how they can do something like this! I've lived at several other apartments and NOT ONCE did the place charge me over the deposit. I've called and called trying to get a hold of someone, left messages and NO CALL BACK. I'm disgusted with this place. THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU RENT HERE!!!

I recently transferred to Ballantyne from a sister property that truly took care of business…read more Unfortunately, my experience here has been the complete opposite. I've only been in my new unit for less than two weeks, and nearly every issue I reported has either been ignored or closed without being resolved. Both tubs were clogged with globs of hair, the kitchen cabinets have pieces hanging off as if they're about to fall, there is no water pressure in the master bath, and the front door sticks badly. Despite submitting work orders, maintenance closed them out without completing any of the repairs. Over the weekend I also discovered that the AC doesn't work, my thermostat is set at 65, but it's still unbearably hot inside. On top of that, the dishwasher doesn't even appear to be connected. The only positive experience I've had was with Nakala, but unfortunately, the service and responsiveness stopped there. I've spoken with multiple staff members, and nothing has been done. Maintenance also enters without knocking, which I find completely unacceptable, especially since I've made it clear that I do not want anyone in my apartment if I am not present. I am very disappointed with how this property is being managed and hope ownership takes a serious look at how residents' needs and concerns are being handled. I will not be submitting anymore work orders. Also the tubs were not resurfaced and the tiles were not cleaned in either restroom, awful experience to say the least.

They came into the dwelling when we were not there to take pictures before we moved out and tried to use those as if the property was left in that condition. We also donated $2000 worth of appliances to the company for the next tenants. VERY shady company. No morals. The halls are not climate controlled so be aware it is hot during the summer months. I was very confused trying to find her actual unit so I can't imagine an elderly trying to find theirs. The elevators are spaced out pretty far and the halls are kinda staggered. One of the 4 elevators is down and has been since Friday, so 3 days. The unit itself is nice and clean and perfect for independent living. There is a small activity pool that is perfect for cooling off or some water aerobics. On each elevator is a large calendar posting activities and trash schedules. There is a small courtyard for walking and sitting. One little niche had a few bookshelves and chairs for relaxing and reading. It is outdoor but covered with a nice breeze flowing through. Overall I think this community is a welcome addition for the 55 and older crowd that are still active.

I had an extremely frustrating experience at Bexley Riverwalk following a pipe burst that flooded…read moremy apartment. The bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, and dining area were all flooded with dirty, foul-smelling water. Maintenance came initially and flushed water out through the patio, then left a dehumidifier and instructed me to run it for three days, which I did. On the fourth day, I had to fly out. I turned off the dehumidifier because I was not comfortable leaving an electrical device running unattended while I was out of town. I clearly told the management and maintenance team that they did NOT have permission to enter my apartment without me present, and that I would be back the very next day and they could return then. Despite this, maintenance entered my apartment anyway after explicitly being told not to. I was later told that turning off the dehumidifier was a lease violation, which felt unreasonable given the circumstances and the fact that I followed instructions for three full days. To make matters worse, after the flooding they had to replace baseboards and drywall, creating another mess. I repeatedly requested that the floors be properly cleaned and sanitized, since the unit was flooded with contaminated water, but this was not handled with urgency or care. I understand this happened during a winter storm with extremely low temperatures around 20°F. I had taken precautions by dripping faucets, and the pipe that burst was supplying the sprinkler system, not something within my control. Still, the lack of respect for my boundaries, poor communication, and dismissive handling of sanitation concerns made this experience incredibly stressful. Overall, the situation was mishandled, invasive, and frustrating. Emergencies happen, but tenant communication, consent, and basic cleanliness should not be optional.
