Orgasmic Omasake…read more It's one thing to honor tradition and modernize cuisine through fusion or complex flavor techniques. Yet can it be that simple to isolate no more than a few ingredients to illicit a flavor foodgasm and atmospheric vibe? A seating here titillates developed palettes and delights, organically, unlike lesser quality popular fast casual spots or scenic expensive restaurant concepts. 'Gokudo' means trust, loyalty, respect. The selection, preparation, composition, and pairings pay highest homage to the original tradition of 'Omasake' with a puritan approach and just right, unique subtleties. If selective, note some of the establishment's unconventional approaches: air fry fish with avocado oil; scratch sauces such as honey wasabi; warm, fresh rice (does not sit, made every 2 hours). Less is more and the non-pretense of this four-seat counter, low lit, unmarked location sushi speakeasy aside from taste, stimulates the other senses. The house curated playlist features independent artists. Chef co-owners engage diners directly and accommodate dietary preferences and impromptu adaptations. Nigiri is suggested to eat with fingers. Plating is visual art. The Gokudo experience will seduce sushi connoisseurs.

The meals were delivered directly to my door in two cooler bags with ice blocks, and the packaging kept everything properly chilled. A major reason I chose Jet Fuel Meals is the flexibility with dietary restrictions. Jesse was incredibly helpful throughout the process and took the time to understand all of my food allergies, intolerances, and preferences. I was especially impressed by the ability to remove specific ingredients such as gluten, dairy, onions, certain vegetables, beef, and other foods I avoid. I haven't found many meal delivery services that offer this level of customization. The portions are also substantial--the containers are packed generously, which makes the meals look like they'll be very satisfying. My first impression of Jet Fuel Meals has been excellent.

These guys are partially responsible for why I seem to have less restaurant reviews lol!…read more My New Year's resolution of learning to cook is coming along a little slower than expected, and I sometimes felt run down at the gym. One of the coaches recommended Jet Fuel Meals and I decided to give them a try. They give you two free meals as an introductory offer; I liked them and subscribed. I spoke to Irvin and discussed my goals (strength gain) as well as limitations (seafood allergy) as well as the fact I usually skip breakfast. Their delivery is at my door three times a week before I leave for work. I've enjoyed a tasty variety, including properly portion, lasagna, turkey, ground beef, and Mexican dishes. The labels also provide nutrition information and macros, and the food is well seasoned. Prices are comparable to groceries as well as the time value of money I would otherwise spend cooking.

Staying i tonight after an good workout and busy day, I found them on UberEats. They have a pretty good spread of healthy stuff including juices , and I ordered their 6 oz chicken breast with vegetables and sweet potato, plus a side of black beans. My chicken breast was pretty close to the advertised weight (they also sell a 9 oz piece), clean yet tasty. I added a little of their cilantroish spicy sauce for flavor and a hint of a kick. The black beans (3 tsp for tonight and leftovers for tomorrow) had a good texture, as did the boiled sweet potato. This is legit healthy as it doesn't have the matshmallow and calorie inducing fluff of the erstwhile healthy fast food place. I passed on the broccoli as a matar of personal preference - maybe let us pick the veggies - but the sliced carrots that came with the order were yummy as well. The food was delivered promptly within the promised time.

Yes, I don't eat heavy so I was able to eat the lunch and dinner servings through out the day (4x a day I eat) and it was filling. Does there weight loss program work? NOPE! Considering this is all I ate.... I expected to loose something! Especially considering the amount of tasteless ground turkey I consuumed. I really feel like if you are looking for a meal delivery service short term, this is for you. I've had my share of Chinese food around the country. For Chinese takeout, this is some of the best quality I have ever had! The hot and sour soup is truly spicy with a good amount of tofu, mushroom, bean sprouts, an egg. I legitimately have no complaints at all about the suit. The fried rice is actually fried and not soggy. It has a very good flavor. The roasted pork also is seasoned and not just thrown in willy-nilly. I am very, very impressed with this takeout service. Also, the proportion sides are good. My one grip is that the vegetables with pan fried noodles came in a very thin sauce. Usually, I'm accustomed to a thicker sauce that would coat the noodles rather than drown it like a broth. Don't get me wrong, this is my no means an authentic Chinese restaurant. If you were looking for authentic Szechuan dishes, hot pot, etc., then you will be disappointed. However, the execution and qualities is very good. Nevertheless, I know where to go for Chinese takeout in the future. Cannot wait to try other dishes!
