I like that you can select from different menus: classic, vegan, vegetarian, paleo, & keto. I thought I'd be hungry eating 1500-1600 calories (3 meals) a day and I am not! I was skeptical about subscribing to meal prep services until I tried DeliverLean. I tried them back in December and I was pretty impressed with the quality of the food and the service as well. Let's get one thing out of the way. This may not work for everyone especially the delivery times. I live in the condo so I had to give them a FOB to enter the gate and the main door to my building. Otherwise, you will need to get up and buzz the driver in to deliver to your door unless you live in a house. The delivery times vary depending on the area. My delivery window was between 3am to 5am so there was no way that I would be disturbed during these hours so I let them borrow my extra FOB. After my subscription was over, they sent my FOB back the following day by FedEx. As far as the quality of the food, I was really surprised that I liked everything they delivered. I basically selected Paleo and I got different meals a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The portions were big too and I liked the fact that they came in microwavable and reusable containers. I just shoved my 3 meals for the day to my lunch bag and off I go to work. So convenient. My favorites were the Pecan Crusted Chicken, Turkey Meatballs, Honey Shrimp, Salmon, and Snapper. They were very tasty and filling. Price-wise, each meal costs about $11. They also have a web portal where you can customize your meals. I switched my last week to Keto and the meals excellent as well. I know there's an app too but I didn't use it. Overall I'm satisfied with the food and service especially my delivery driver. He even came back to redeliver my meals when I missed the first day because I didn't wake up at all...LOL :) But after I handed him my FOB, everything was smooth. I leave the empty cooler outside my door and he leaves another cooler with my meals for 2 days. This food service box was a benefit after hospital discharge from Care Plus Medicare HMO. I had 2 hospital addictions in July on 3 days apart.... Customer service at this company mixed up my order. Delivered 2nd box a hot melted box of food 6 days early then failed to correct issue. They even lied to Care Plus about what they did. Additionally the customer service agent for Deliverlean made fun of my speech disability and told me if I raised my voice I would never ever get food. This is the best meal delivery service in south Florida. Period. After the $hit$how with my last meal delivery service, I decide to research DeliverLean. I called and chatted with a few people who invited me to come there and see what it was all about. I took them up on that offer and met Jessie. She answered every single question I had (and still does to this day, over a month later!) She is like my own personal concierge and she is always available for me. Customer service is not dead! Let's discuss more about the awesomeness that is DeliverLean: The Food: THE FOOD IS PHENOMENAL! There has been ONE dish that I didn't like. I had a sneaking suspicion I wouldn't like it anyways, but I tried it and I was right, but in all fairness, I hate cauliflower rice to begin with. They have a really extensive menu to pick your meals from. Classic, Paleo, Vegan, Vegetarian, Kids. A really good variety of really good, tasty, portion appropriate food. It is packed in such a way that you know they didn't just sling it in there and it is very visually appealing. Kudos! The Service: I had one snag in the beginning, but you better believe that they all worked to let me know that it wouldn't happen again. It was a simple communication error, but they owned the error (unlike the last meal deliver place I used) and made me feel like they really did give a crap and were sorry about the confusion. They are also willing to work with you to make a plan that works best for you. Online Ordering: It really can't get much simpler. You click on the day you want meals for, select the meals, hit save Super easy. They also will have you rate the meals so that if they see a meal gets crap review from a lot of people, they will know not to make that meal anymore or they will tweak it and make it better. The Price: They are a little pricey simply because of the meal delivery charge. Oh and sales tax applies too. If you have it delivered to you, it is $6 each trip. I, however, go and pick the meals up myself 3x a week to save me the money. If you are on the fence and aren't sure still, call them and see if Jessie is around. I tried this service out for a week $115 for lunch and dinner for five days a week. The delivery was perfectly fine - I saw several comments that their food never showed up (1st red flag; was afraid of this happening to me). The meals you pick on their site vary in selection: classic, paleo, veggie, wraps, etc. You can select meals from any category which is a plus. My meals were delivered on Monday morning (12am-6am) for Monday and Tuesday (so four meals) then Tues morning (12am-6am) for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday meals (6 meals). I was excited about the meals when I selected them online, but in person, they were not so appealing. The salads were excellent, I must say, but after each day the freshness of the salmon and greens greatly diminished. By Thursday, I ended up giving the rest of the meals away. I thought this was a ONE-TIME and no auto-renewal type of deal for the week trial, but on Thursday they charged me for another week and a higher price that I did not ask for. I asked to cancel and be removed from auto-renewal. This company is very sneaky. You cannot delete your card from the website, and customer service is hugely through email. I am still waiting for my account to be deleted. Update 4/26/19: Added a star because the account manager assigned to me followed up and took responsibility for the billing. It was not the company's fault. I appreciate her clearing up what had happened that they had charged me before the trial ended when we both agreed to try it for the week and they would call me to see if I wanted to move forward. I'm a new customer and so far not impressed. All my salads have been delivered already browning and gooey. The chicken in the salads isn't fresh -- tastes funky. The chicken and beef in entrees doesn't taste fresh either. I have tried at least 6 different local meal plan companies and this is by far the worst. I will say they do have a good menu variety but if you can't show up with food that tastes like the beautiful photos, you are not doing a good service to customers or yourselves. read more

The order was placed when I was discharged January 13, 2022, promise to deliver January 19, 2022, the order did not arrive, and it was not until a representative from Humana contacted them to inform them at the end of the day January 19, 2022 that the order would not be delivered until January 20, 2022. Total lack of courtesy, on January 20, 2022, the food was left on the floor in front of the entrance door to the apartment, they never knocked on the door, we did not know the face of the person who made the delivery, and we do not know how many hours the food was on the floor outside the apartment, because it was not seen until for another reason we opened the door. This company is absolutely infuriating. They ring my doorbell every night at 2am. I refuse to get up at 2am, so I don't answer the bell and they don't leave me the food but they are still charging me for it. I told them in the beginning that I wouldn't wake up in the middle of the night for them. They promised me that before the service started they would give me the delivery person's cell phone number so I could grant him access to the building through our app. But they never gave me the info so I cancelled the service. They still keep coming, charging me, and not delivering me any food. This isn't just bad service, this is criminal. I'm disputing the charge with the credit card company and I will file a claim in small claims court to get back my money if I have to. I will also file complaints with the BBB and the county consumer advocate. I can prove that they haven't been in the building because the app keeps track of whom I buzz into the building. read more

Sometimes you like to switch things up, happy & safe to say signing up for Deliver Lean was an excellent choice. I am usually on the go & have no time to be at home cooking during the week. However, I do love to cook but having your meals prepped, cooked, and delivered to you several days of the week is extremely helpful. Especially when they taste great! I currently have the vegetarian plan & I love how they switch up the meals so that it's not "oh i have my boring meal prep for lunch." Since my original review, I've tried a few different salads and they are delicious and filling!! I still am not a fan of the hot meals because they are way too small and not filling. I'm not a big girl and I don't even eat that much.. but I would need to double the portion size for these meals to feel full. I would definitely continue to order just for the salads to have a variety of yummy salads for lunch at work. Ordering and delivery processes are easy and accurate and everything was fresh. Very disappointed with DeliverLean. They have made two deliveries in a row without chilling or having ice packs in the cooler. For those who are unfamiliar- DeliverLean is a $500 a month service. They deliver tour selections around 1am and you retrieve in the morning. The food sits outside in the 80 degree Florida nights for more than five hours. The last two deliveries did bit contain enough ice packs to maintain temperature. The last delivery had ZERO ice packs. read more

DeliverLean has been a saving grace in my life. It's healthy, it's delicious, it's always on time, it's convenient, it's affordable. Always on-the-go without much time for cooking or meal-prepping, I'm truly grateful for these meals that come to my front door. I can even order on their online portal from their extensive menu so I can curate my meals ahead of time. From a quick bite to juices to vegan dishes or perfectly cooked meat protein in their Paleo menu, I'm satisfied no matter what dietary choices I make this month. (I've tried it all!) They have so many options, so I never have to eat the same thing twice. Also, they have kids meals prepped so they can take to school. They come in refrigerated bags with with ice packs; so if they stay at your front door for a couple of hours (because you overslept like me), they remain cool and totally safe to eat. Edit 02/25/2016: An hour or so after posting my original review i received a call from someone who said they were the CEO of the company, i have no reason to believe it was not the CEO. We discussed what could have been done better with my situation and how he could help improve the company so this does not happen to even 1 person. We agreed that i should not have to pay more $$ than what was originally agreed upon nor should i have to pay for the meals that were destroyed. Ultimately I was issued a refund for an amount that we both agreed was most fair. I appreciate the attention and quick refund. Its just unfortunate that i had to contact them several times by phone and email and not until i posted a negative review on here was there any kind of efficiency. Regardless of that, I'm satisfied with the outcome. Im changing my rating to 3 stars because of this show of good faith from the company. Although it did not work out for me, i hope it does work out for others. That was probably my mistake so i avoided those kinds of meals that seemed like they would be tiny. Still, even ordering the biggest meals on their menu i would receive small pieces of protein with some carbs. I called them and voiced my concern and all the sudden i started received bigger portions. Great. I guess... 3. On days that it rained (which it rains all the time in South Florida) water got into the bags and into the actual food containers. Overall 10 of the 54 meals i received were completely damaged and not edible. Please do not use this food delivery service. Thankfully there is nothing wrong with the quality of food, you won't get sick.. I believe. However, if you care about good service and no surprises in pricing then do not use this service. First, I used their pause option on their website and it didn't work, this is a big no no as i travel a lot. Second, I called customer service about this issue and the person I got was very rude and dismissive of my issue. Thirdly, I had agreed to one month package, which is a mistake in itself from my part - soon to explain, the pricing jumped up unexpectedly even after I had confirmed what I would pay initially. Lasly and most importantly, there is no refund especially with all these issues I had spoken to them about. We aren't talking about $30 but over $544. This shows me they only care about your money and not about you as a customer or the service they provide. Please stay away from them. read more

Buyer Beware: You cannot cancel your prepaid plans, no matter what, even if your food is delivered with mold on your cheese like mine did 3 times. Or if your food is delivered in non insulated bags that leak, and leave your food far below FDA mandated product temperatures, which can allow your food to spoil, specially if you live in sunny south beach like myself. I never made a big deal about these issues, but I soon realized, my money should and can be spent and invested in a much better service, I addressed my concerns approximately 4 days after my monthly plan renewed, and was told even though I've had numerous problems with their service, I still can't have a refund for the remaining meals that i did not want delivered. Long story short, it's okay for this company to deliver molded food, food in non insulated bags, which gets delivered around 2-4 am, and left in the sun until you pick them up. These guys were at one point awesome, but this will be my last experience with them. Billing is very sneaky, customer service is HORRIBLE, and meals aren't worth the premium that they are delivered at. Once your money is in their "piggy bank" (this is what they actually call it) you can forget about getting any type of communication from them. I had requested a week prior to hurricane Maria to NOT deliver meals after the hurricane because we would most likely be without power, but they were delivered anyways. While I appreciate their willingness to try and get food out to people, no common sense was used here. We had no power, no ice, and weren't allowed to use a generator (being on the 8th floor). I sent a multitude of emails to Dan and customer support, I left several messages on the customer support line, and not a single email or call was returned. Meals were delivered that I did not select, meals that were delivered weren't even listed on their website. None of the meals had macro/calorie counts on the containers so I had no idea what they even contained. I had meals that were delivered in the bag that the containers were broken, and food/liquids had leaked all over the other meals. Ice packs have burst or have been punctured and leaked all over the inside of the bag and the containers too. The majority of the meals listed on the website do not contain nutritional information or even a photo of what they look like. How in the world is this even possible? There is a healthy variety of stiff competition in this genre, and I'd strongly recommend checking out another food delivery service. read more

Have used DeliverLean about 5 years. Had many problems with food temperature. Complained many times until corrective action was taken in late 2017. Fish was warm - 62 deg. Corrective action includes: 6 ice bags, not 4. Fillers (empty trays) placed inside to keep the ice on top the food. I have been resisting posting my frustration, but at this point, I'm done with DeliverLean. I've been a customer for a very long time and for the most part I've been satisfied with their service until 2019/2020. Within the past year and a half, their service has vastly declined. Today was the 5th time that I received my meals and half of the weeks orders, had the plastic boxes broken with pieces of plastic inside the food. I've addressed the issue and hoped it would help, but obviously they have not taken it seriously. So that was the main issue I've had with them and the reason today I will be canceling my service. The other issue is that those who pack and order the food, have no common sense. If I don't pick my meals ahead of time, they don't take the time to put together a reasonable order. I have received my meals where I got the exact same meal, meaning exact same food for the entire week! How hard would it be to create variety??? I don't like to post negative posts about businesses in my area, but I've given this company many attempts to fix their issues and at this point I'm searching for a new meal service. First and foremost a sincere thank you to Howard Wolffs for EXCELLENT customer service!!! I commenced a diet (HCG) to loose weight and required a strict calorie diet on top of the treatment. I contacted Deliver Lean via email and got a call back by a rep named Howard Wollfs and explained my situation to him. He was very understanding towards my needs and offered what I would consider a great meal plan at a reasonable price compared to garbage fast food at todays rates. As promised my food was at my desired location as and when I was told. ( I will say that the appearance is just shy of gourmet 5 star ) and the packaging/food was properly insulated. I just started recently using this company's service and I am so happy that I did. IT LOOKS, SMELLS, TASTES EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had used the service a few years ago. I had problems with their customer service, so I canceled it. I decided to give it another try. At one point i got my meals and when I looked into the bag, I found four of the same exact meals. I knew this had to be a mistake. How could someone have not caught this before the delivery went out. I called. I got lots of apologies and excuses about why it happened. They were going to review this with the people who pack the meals. Ok. Everyone makes a mistake and i wrote it off to that. Then it happened again. All the same meals. The lady that I spoke to was apologetic. I explained to her that there was clearly either a flaw in their algorithms, or they needed to expand the list of options the algorithms could select because this really shouldn't happen. They promised it wouldn't happen again. The aggravating part is that food ends up getting wasted (in addition to my money) because nobody is going to eat the same meal four times in a row. I told them that if this happened a third time I was going to have to cancel. This just isn't good customer service. You can see where this is going. It happened again. In fairness, this last time it was three of the same meals, and one salad. I called again and explained what happened. More excuses. I asked how much I had left on my account because at this point I would not want to continue after that. No I am sorry. No nothing. Ok. It was an easy break up. No tears on either side. I was told that I was going to get an email confirming my request to cancel. Still no email. Still no update on my plan. I am going to get the rest of my meals owed? No clue. Am I going to get a refund? Highly doubtful. They have some technical issues that could easily fix this issue of getting these duplicate meals. I freaking love Deliver Lean! It's everything they said it was, they deliver meals you choose online to your door over night. Delivery System 5 - Stars. Perfect for people who live in buildings, it's the most convenient thing ever. I never had any problems with the delivery. Although if I had to make a suggestion, I would like for the food to be more cold when I get to it (around 8am). Customer Service 5 - Stars. I read some reviews which gave them low ratings on customer service, but I don't know why. I worked with Peter Ciani who called me back on like a weekend night to sign up and answer my questions. It was convenient because, who works on a weekend at night time for a delivery service, really? He ensured me everything was going to be fine, and they were working on the bad reviews and I have experienced nothing but great service. They assign someone to you to check in on you regularly by phone or email. My person was Jessie, who was great. Then when I had to cancel because of personal preference (I don't like to eat vegetables but tried to incorporate it in my daily routine, didn't work out so much), Andy helped me with no problems. Called me on a Sunday to fix the problem (there was also a snag in the website ordering process). Menu 4.5 - Stars. The menu was diverse,and some things that didn't look so good, were actually amazing. I like anything cooked with beef or fish. Their chicken was a little bland for my taste, but for someone who doesn't eat that many healthy things, this was great. It was also great because I never tried half of these things, and it was cool to see how you can make awesome things with healthy ingredients. They have classic and paleo and vegetarian, I'm still not sure what the details are, but it's great all the ingredients and calories are on the sticker of the meals they send you. As a fitness addict, I have used Deliver Lean for the past year. Counting my calories as provided on the containers, this has kept me in shape and reached my perfect weight that I've always wanted. Deliver Lean has a lot of fascinating meals from Tofu Curry, to Moroccan Tagine and even Za'atar (My favorite middle eastern spice) Chicken, Beef and Turkey. Stay clear of this company. I think it is under new management. Deliver lean has absolutely atrocious service levels and the food is mediocre at best. They consistently give you wrong meals, undercooked meals, and hey sometimes they don't even bother delivering your meals at all. Buyer beware spend your money at other food delivery companies who value customer service and provide better quality dishes. read more
