I have never dined at Bazille. I had heard many years ago that Nordstrom was opening a restaurant at the Corte Madera store, but I never had the need to check it out. Recently, while shopping, I had that need. I was watching a 6 year old for the day and the little became hungry NOW. Bazille was right there, tucked behind racks of clothes in the very back of the second floor. We took a chance and went in. The restaurant is dark and the decor dated, but the booth we were seated at was very comfortable and food surprisingly good! Plus the service was excellent. Our young guest enjoyed her grilled cheese and tomato soup kids entree, while my friend and I shared the roasted turkey and avocado club sandwich. It was made with fresh sliced country bread, accompanied by a tasty side of Kalamata olive aioli. All the ingredients tasted fresh, and I'm still craving the salt and pepper crush French fries. I'm pretty sure they gave us extra as it was a huge portion. We ate every single one! This was a very pleasant surprise and I will definitely be visiting again.

Tastes or WasteY? Totally tastes!!!! I have been coming to this restaurant for over 12 years. We first discovered it when we lived in St. Louis. Although the service is different everywhere we go, the food never lets me down. The calamari is amazing. I always have the light lime, cilantro salad, and I add shrimp . Our favorite one was located in San Francisco, but unfortunately it is now closed. So we tried the one in Corte Madera. The food was amazing... Not so much the waiter that waited on us. But I'm going to give him a pass because the salad is great. I would highly recommend.

Overall: 4.3 Service: 4 Food: 5 Value: 4 Ambience: located on the second floor of Nordstrom, this restaurant is perfect for a shopping break or a relaxed meal. The bright, open floor plan features large windows that offer views of the hills and the decor strikes a perfect balance between classy and casual. Starter(s): fried calamari Entree(s): Birria grilled cheese It's definitely worth a visit and has a diverse menu, ensuring there's something to suit every taste. When I visited, they had a birria grilled cheese on special--a creative twist on the popular quesa birria tacos. The dish was a standout, featuring tender, juicy birria meat enveloped in gooey cheese and crispy, golden bread. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a leisurely dining experience, this spot delivers great food, a lovely atmosphere, and a convenient location.

Bazille always does a good job with their menu. My wife and I sent in for salads and they were consistently good. I would offer a bit of advice...if you are raising the price pls do not cut back on the size of the salad. I'll have to look back to a previous photo. But none the less... fantastic company and good service. So bummed the Nordstrom Cafe closed in SF!

Good food offered in Nordstrom. Spinach artichoke dip is excellent. We even used it as a dip for the fries. Staff was extremely attentive and cordial. Makes you happy while dining.

I love that Nordstrom offers food options in an elegant setting. Bazille took over from Blue Stove and offers a variety of food options. We came here on a Sunday evening and enjoyed a meal and some drinks. To start our meal, we went for their heirloom tomatoes with burrata and their kung pao brussel sprouts. Both items were highlights of our meal. The brussel sprouts had a unique take on the dish, with a sweet, savory dish that also had a slight kick to it. The burrata was well done, and paired quite well with the other dishes as well. Unfortunately while we were there, they were out of their steak options so I couldn't give it a try. However, I still had a chance to enjoy their halibut and chips. The portion size was a bit smaller than I'd like, but aside from that the fish was decently battered and had a good aioli to pair with it. However nothing about the dish was particularly impressive. My family members also had the crab, mango, and avocado salad which had a light and refreshing dressing to pair with the rich ingredients. Our last dish was a scallops entree which was well cooked but once again with lackluster flavor. Our meal was mostly solid in regards to the food, but unfortunately the service didn't quite meet the standards. Even though there were few guests in the restaurant and enough servers, we would often be waiting for some time to get our water, get attention to order a drink, and other aspects like that.

Came here on Saturday for dinner and I ordered their burger cooked medium well. After I got home I started suffering from symptoms of food poisoning. It was so bad! This was the only thing I ate so I knew it had to be the burger. Idk how you guys prepared your food or if the burger was undercooked but this is bad guys. Today I feel a bit better than I did yesterday but that was not fun. I'll never eat here again.

It took almost 10 minutes after we arrived for someone to greet us- not sure why. However we were seated outdoors as we requested which was appreciated. The decor is bright with gorgeous colored tiles. The menu looked terrific, however we weren't provided the special vegan menu without asking for it. Wow, we were impressed with the dishes listed. We started with the chips & salsas- the chips were just as I like them; thin, crispy with salt. My sister had the vegan enchiladas and her husband the vegan pozole which he raved about. My son had the trio of carnitas tacos and was quite satisfied. I thoroughly enjoyed the veggie (not vegan as I love my queso) chile rellenos - they were divine. The sauce was perfectly flavored. We shared the churros for dessert- a bit disappointed as they were not crispy & a bit doughy on the inside. Our server was friendly and the prices were reasonable. All in all a great experience and would return.

She was super accommodating and attentive without being overbearing. Once we told her what we liked, she immediately knew what to recommend and guided us through the menu perfectly. You can tell she knows her stuff. We came specifically for happy hour (we're definitely HH aficionados) and made it our mission to try everything on the menu. While the chips & dip were good, they're something you can find elsewhere, so not necessarily a standout. Everything else, though? OUTSTANDING! The hummus, whipped feta, and muhamarra were next-level--easily some of the best we've had. The CN burger sliders were also a hit--we had one each and they were so yummy that next time my husband is already planning on getting two. The drinks were on point. The espresso martinis absolutely fueled our afternoon in the best way, and we also tried the creamsicle cocktail and the shrimp Za'atar from the regular menu--both were super delicious in their own way. The ambiance was great, and the bartender was clearly on top of things, which always adds to the overall vibe. One thing worth noting: happy hour is now only offered Monday-Thursday, but Sydney was kind enough to honor it for us on Saturday since the website hadn't been updated yet. That level of service really sealed the deal for us. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish--great food, great drinks, and even better service. Easy five stars.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, and our server was kind and friendly, but the service felt disorganized. We specifically asked to have the oysters first, followed by the 1000 Layer Crispy Potatoes with caviar, and then our entrees. Instead, the potatoes arrived almost immediately. When our server saw them, she asked if the oysters had already been brought out. They hadn't, and after she went to check on them, we had a very long wait before they finally arrived. The wait between the oysters and our entrees was even longer. We were told the kitchen was running slowly because there was a wedding upstairs, which we understood. The atmosphere also felt mismatched. For such a beautiful, upscale waterfront restaurant, the fairly loud hip-hop/rap music just didn't fit the setting or the dining experience we were expecting. The food was the biggest disappointment. The oysters were excellent and easily the highlight of the meal, and the presentation throughout was beautiful. Unfortunately, the flavors didn't live up to how good the dishes looked. Nearly everything else was overly salty. My steak frites was so heavily salted that it overwhelmed the dish, and my wife had the same issue with her petrale sole. Meanwhile, other elements, including the potatoes, were surprisingly bland. We were also disappointed to discover that the lobster pot pie, a signature dish I had specifically been looking forward to and one of the reasons I booked the restaurant, was no longer on the menu. We learned that The Bungalow Kitchen is under new management and the menu had changed. I had been saving The Bungalow Kitchen for a special occasion. I never dined here under the previous Michael Mina management, so I can't fairly compare the two experiences, but this wasn't the dining experience I had envisioned when I chose it for our anniversary. It's a gorgeous space in a beautiful location, and the staff were pleasant. But at these prices, we expected the food, service and overall experience to live up to the setting. Unfortunately, ours fell well short of those expectations. Since dining here also requires a significant drive for us, the experience wasn't good enough to justify making the trip again to give it a second chance.

He'd grown full and much liver remained which is when I learned that I do like chicken liver. Or rather, I like chicken liver as prepared at The Speakeasy. All of the above pretty much had me fan-girling out over this place but then this happened: We were done, requested our check, and were told that someone that evening had picked up the tab for the entire bar, something I've not experienced in my lifetime. The QR ordering setup still feels more frustrating than inviting, but the friendly service and surprisingly good food turned things around. In the end, I left glad that I stayed.
