The bottomless mimosas ($29.99) sound like a great deal, but just know how they run it. There's a 90-minute minimum, and they don't bring a bottle to the table--you get one mimosa at a time, and you have to finish it before they'll bring another. The first one I got tasted like straight orange juice barely any champagne. I sent it back and to their credit, they remade it much better They mentioned they control pours to keep the environment in check, which I understand--but if you're expecting free-pour vibes, that's not the case here. Food-wise: French toast & breakfast potatoes were really good However the Chilaquiles were super dry and lacked flavor--wouldn't recommend Burger & fries were decent, but nothing special As for drink pricing, it does lean a bit on the higher side. bucket of 5 beers was around $42, $15 for a Tito's vodka shot, and even a basic Jack and Coke came out to about $18 with tip, which felt a little steep for the area. the best deal was definitely the green tea shots at only $9 I will say, our waitress Priscilla was great. She had a lot of tables and seemed a bit overwhelmed, but she still made an effort to check on us and kept my mimosas coming pretty promptly. I didn't have to wait long at all between refills, which I appreciated. Since we went for a special event, the DJs were great and really kept the energy up the whole time Parking was easy. It did say there was a $2 fee, but when we printed the ticket, we weren't charged--so it might be free, but I'd still double-check at the kiosk just in case. Overall: decent spot for the vibe, music, and brunch outing, but just be prepared for controlled drinks and slightly higher prices.

Got a room for NYE, went out to dinner and stopped at bar at 7pm to get a dessert we read about on the elevator earlier. Bar had two table tops and 2 people at bar besides us for a total of 12 people. When we sat down the woman bartender was directly infront of us. She didn't acknowledge us and I'd noted us for at-least 10 minutes while never being more than 5 feet away from us, her bar back never acknowledged us either. Easily could have ruined the night, but since we spent so much for hotel and it was NYE we just decided to leave, not letting whatever problems they were having become our problems. I have read all the reviews for the bar and the have an incredible amount of negatives which is surprising because the hotel aspect of it was amazing. We will definitely stay at hotel again and being that there are 30 restaurants within a block we will never need to experience the bar again. I don't like to leave bad reviews and maybe she was going through something in her life that was horrible but she did have other employees that could have taken up the slack and they customers inside lounge were families with 5 of which were children so it's mot as if they were overwhelmed making mixed drinks. Don't let the Lounge and Bar take away from the actual Hotel though, that part was incredible.

Basically it's a cover charge as the 80s bar does a cover on the weekends too. Be sure to check in with the host on the left. They have you wait in line until the next group is done with their timed seating. We had a 10pm reservation and probably waited about 15-20 minutes to enter. Walking through the 80s bar it gives off very clubby and busy vibes so it was hard to imagine a speakeasy at the end of it. I was actually shocked upon entrance and really impressed with the detail and ambiance. It is a small space and keep in mind you may share a table with another group if necessary. The drinks were actually phenomenal. On the pricier end of $22 and up but we're so good. I loved the horror theme play on the cocktail names! The candy man was delicious and my favorite. The Lester drink came in a light bulb with an edible flower and that was definitely an experience! My hubby loved the Samara which was a delicious espresso. I wish I could have tried more cocktails but our timed seating was up (90minutes). Overall, I was a bit worried with all the poor reviews but we had a good time and definitely got you into the spooky season spirit! The staff was also very kind. I do wish they had more horror actors but still a good time. We get wristbands and assigned a table. We were told to wait in another line but we were let in shortly after. We bypass the 80's bar and go to a back room to make it feel like a "speakeasy." They gave us some ground rules and led us to our tables. At the table you have a QR code where you can place drink orders. The bar brings out your drinks to the table. Service was fairly quick and friendly. The drinks were all sweet cocktails and in the "Matterhorn Lodge" theme. There is a 2 drink minimum purchase (per guest) and each drink is $20+ so it can add up. I'm more of a beer person but some of the drinks were delicious. There was one that tasted like Christmas morning (cinnamon, clove, milky) and another drink that had popping boba that was also fun. If you're a butterfinger or peanut butter fan, there was one drink that tasted like it (you'll see it on the drink menu). I wouldn't say the drinks were strong. They do a good job of enforcing the theme. They had a "Yeti" come out and interact with the tables. Good for photo ops. They also had a magician doing a few tricks, and I enjoyed that the most. The place was kept fairly chilly! Even the bathrooms had jokes and signage on the walls that alluded to the alps. Overall a great time. Small venue but pretty chill. Can be pricey. Take a sweater. Good for dates and small groups.

Surprised us with birthday cakes!! ( Mother in-laws & mine) Food: Duck Tacos - 8 / 10 Surprisingly great flavor and would order again for quick bite if I came back Tuna Tartare - 5 / 10 Happy they chose to pair with wonton chips, but the sauce and the flavor altogether just missed the mark. Shocked to say that Lime & Salt & even Yard House blew this app out of the water. Manila Clam Chowder: 7 / 10 Chunky, creamy, but too Salty. They added bacon not chopped up in the chowder, but instead thrown on top as if it fell onto the bowl on it's way out of the kitchen prep (see pic) Calamari: 7 / 10 Basic breading and could have been better if sauces paired were complimentary but they were not. They offered 1 sauce that just tasted like a watered down Zested shallot, the other I think is like a thinned out marinara. Both did not enhance the app, but actually made it less appetizing. Fresh Pappardelle w/Chicken: 5 / 10 Great portion of protein to pasta, but heavily lacked flavor. I've had pasta with no sauce, just simple olive oil, but this dish...not like those. Unfortunately, tasted bland. Wild Alaskan Salmon: 8 / 10 It was crispy but not sure if that was what they were going for or it was a tad overcooked. But the flavor was great, quinoa pairing worked. I get the need for colorful presentation too, but they could have gone w/less tomatoes and instead more of the mangos & perhaps added cucumbers for a more fresh & colorful approach Chilean Seabass: 7 / 10 Description was "Pepper crusted..saffron Asparagus Risotto...Orange Glaze w\Vanilla Bean cream sauce" First bite was like a basic white fish. 4 bites later, then I finally tasted a hint of pepper crust (not all over as I hoped because it enhanced the flavor so much!) The Asparagus risotto base was a huge disappointment--I would have enjoyed this fish more with roasted veggies, because I was hyped up to experience an 'Orange glaze w/Vanilla bean cream sauce " in the risotto, but instead tasted like bland porridge with 2 bits of asparagus chunks that I think they could have left out. It was a shame, I also did not taste any orange glaze anything. *For such a high price point on these main entrees and salads-- I had expectations for their dishes to be refined & elevated. This would work best at a $22/plate experience not the $50+ range they are charging.

Not terribly inventive Mexican given what's out there in DTLA or even OC but kudos for attempts at menu expansion! I do think the guacamole is really good, the mezcal offerings are awesome, the decor is upscale and Happy Hour pricing is worthwhile. I find this restaurant very loud however. Because of that, I booked outside seating on OpenTable for Cinco de Mayo for drinks at 6:30 for 4 of us. We arrived at 6:25. We were notified that they were running behind, but still were not seated at 7... we were told there was no outdoor seatings coming up in the near future but they could honor our reservation shortly at an indoor table... but unfortunately it was club-decibel live music for the holiday so we went elsewhere. I do feel that managing holiday crowds and reservations is a reasonable expectation for a restaurant of this caliber/ price point. Recommend as a local option only but with a few caveats, not my top choice.

Anaheim or Fullerton would be amazing. We drove in from Orange County and ate beforehand since we weren't sure how the food situation worked with our 9:30 reservation. Turns out, they actually do have a solid food menu, but no regrets--this place is all about the experience. When we walked in, the energy was already through the roof. People were vibing, singing along, and just in great moods all around. The setup is awesome--kind of like a neon-lit bar with two pianos facing each other center stage and a drummer in the middle. And let me just say, that drummer was an absolute beast. While the pianists rotated in and out, he held it down the entire time without missing a beat. Service did take a little while to get started--we waited about 15-20 minutes before anyone came by--but once they did, everything picked up and stayed consistent. The staff kept checking in and made sure we were taken care of. One thing that really stood out to me (especially coming from a hospitality background) was how they handled a situation where someone in the front row got sick. It could've easily ruined the vibe, but the staff jumped in immediately, cleaned everything thoroughly, replaced the table, and sanitized the area quickly and professionally. Super impressive. Overall, I had such a great time and would absolutely go back. Huge shoutout to the pianists--they were incredibly entertaining--and major props again to that drummer. Now if the owner could bring this concept to Orange County... that would be next level!

However, it took about 20 minutes before our waitress approached our table, despite there being a minimal crowd at the time and her appearing to manage only a few tables. Throughout the evening, we repeatedly had to seek out staff just to place drink and food orders. On one occasion, food was brought to our table that was not ours, and after waiting another 10 minutes, we again had to find someone to notify them of the mistake. When our platter finally arrived, it was missing the four sipping sauces that were listed as included, which required yet another attempt to locate our waitress. At times, our waitress could be seen in the kitchen on her phone, while two other servers working nearby were consistently attentive and visibly hustling all night. We stayed until 11 PM and once again had to search for her in order to receive our check. Overall, about 6 out of 8 interactions required us to actively look for our server. This type of atmosphere and dining experience requires consistent attention, which unfortunately was lacking during our visit. On another note we loved the show!
