He's also not one of those doctor's that takes a 10 second look at you and promptly writes a prescription that you may not need - he takes steps that make sense and that are progressive. The other staff at Enfield Medical Associates are great too - especially Margie. They are part of Springfield Medical Associates.

We've been seeing him for the past 20 years and there is no physician who even comes close to his honest, CARING, expert care. He is a rare gem these days in the medical community. He focuses on your wellness besides your illness. He has great respect for each patient and their own knowledge of their body. And Margie his nurse if SO nice and very efficient! Love her too - a great team together!! THANK YOU, BOTH!!!

Dr. Hussain's approach and compassionate care put me at ease, and I left feeling confident in the treatment plan we discussed. After a positive blood test for Lupus, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Demello, a…read morerheumatologist in his Enfield office. His approach was spectacular--first he listened, then he explained. I do not have Lupus. To be sure, sure, sure, he ordered three more blood tests, and they confirmed no Lupus. I am grateful for his holistic approach to me as a person, and to my condition and symptoms. I was also impressed with his office medical assistant, Tina, who was kind, professional and attentive, on a busy day. You will be in good hands with this rheumatologist, who looks at the big picture, but keeps the patient's own feelings and intuitions as an important component of his diagnosis.

This was one of the worst healthcare experiences I have ever had…read more I sought care for a fever and a wrist that was visibly red, swollen, and hot to the touch. Rather than investigating what was clearly a potentially serious infection, the PA performed no medical testing and repeatedly told me to go home and use a warm compress. When I tried to advocate for myself and express concern about my symptoms, the PA became dismissive and said, "I have already spent too much time with you. I have other patients and I have already told you to go home and put a warm compress on it. This appointment is over." He then walked out of the room. Days later, I was seen by an actual healthcare professional who immediately ordered blood tests which showed I had a serious bacterial infection requiring antibiotics. The lack of professionalism, compassion, and basic medical judgment I encountered was shocking. Patients come to urgent care because they are concerned about their health and need medical evaluation, not because they want to be laughed at, brushed aside, and sent home without appropriate care. Based on my experience, this clinic failed me when I needed help the most.
