We are a licensed plumbing and heating company based in Dudley, run by two owners who work every job. Call us and you get AJ or Rick, not a call center.
Steam heat and forced hot water are what we specialize in. Banging pipes, radiators that never warm up, uneven heat between floors. Those are almost always repairs, not reasons to replace a boiler, and plenty of contractors will tell you otherwise because they never learned the old systems. We install and service Bosch, Viessmann, Navien, Lochinvar and Weil-McLain along with the rest of the major brands.
We do the everyday work too. Water heaters, drain cleaning, root clogged sewer lines, leaks, faucets, toilets, sump pumps, well tanks and water filtration. No heat or no hot water is handled 24/7.
You get the price before we start. We protect the floors, we clean up, and if a repair makes more sense than a replacement we say so, even when the replacement pays us better.
History
Established in 2024.
Baystate Mechanical was started in 2024 by two licensed owners out of Dudley. We both spent years working for other shops first, and we built this one around a simple idea. The person who answers the phone should be the person who shows up at your house.
Most of our work is heating and plumbing in older Central Massachusetts homes. Steam systems, forced hot water, boilers and furnaces that were installed long before we got here. That is where we learned the trade and it is still what we do best.
We are not looking to turn into a call center. We are the ones on the job, and we are bringing up an apprentice so he learns it the same way we did, on the tools.
Dudley is home base. We work across Worcester County and out into MetroWest.

I'm AJ, one of the two owners here at Baystate Mechanical. Rick and I are both licensed and we're on the trucks every day, so when you call, you're talking to the person who is going to show up at your house.
I got into this trade because I like fixing the things other people have given up on. Old steam systems, boilers nobody wants to touch, a drain that keeps backing up no matter how many times it's been snaked. That's the work I enjoy most.
We cover Dudley, Worcester and most of Worcester County and MetroWest. Plumbing repairs, drain cleaning, water heaters, boilers, furnaces, gas lines and new construction.
