Gleison, one of the owners, came out the next day to take a look at the property and give a free consultation during which he was very nice, helpful and clearly passionate about his craft. His crew did the work the day after with Gleison working alongside. They were efficient, professional and did quality work in just a few hours cleaning up the entire front and backyard of pine needles and leaves and then mowing, aerating and seeding at a very reasonable price. They even quoted a gutter cleanup at 2x less than what I paid in the past. I will continue to use Mow and Grow in the future.

I will also write their responsive professionalism was extremely impressive. An invoice was set by my request ahead of the work and a receipt was immediately sent upon payment. Yet to fully give a review of Albert and son without saying how sweet, nice, and respectful they were would not give you a full picture. Unfortunately, the landscaping crew completely disregarded the people using the park. They were driving large lawn mowers at high speed directly next to people and families, creating an excessive amount of noise and kicking up large clouds of dust. They continued working right next to us without making any effort to slow down or give park visitors some space. The amount of dust was so bad that I could actually feel it in my throat. We eventually had to pack up our things and move to another area of the park just to get away from the noise and dust. A few minutes later, the crew followed us to that area as well, and we ultimately had no choice but to leave the park entirely. I understand that landscaping work needs to be done, but there should be some consideration for families and other people who are using a public park, especially on a busy Saturday afternoon.

I have nothing but kind things to say about Rich and his crew from Hawkeye Landcaping for all their…read moreexcellent work transforming my backyard. We bought our house 3 years ago in the dead of winter at a time when the snow cover concealed the abhorrent condition of the backyard and from the time the snow melted that spring our back yard has been a thorn in our side. The soil was dry and acidic without adequate light or water for good grass and as such were overgrow with crab grass, dandelions, poison ivy/oak, all with a subterranean network of root structures that was endless. We met with multiple landscapers and were impressed with Rich's competence and character and elected to go with him and Hawkeye. Rich's proposal was to excavate the entirety of the backyard, remove an ineffective drain pipe, install a sprinkler system, lay down 60-70 yards of loam and hydro seed the yard. Rich and his team were very hardworking and completed the project within a week of 8 hour days. Within 10 days of the end of work we were able to see sprouts of grass. Perhaps what has impressed me most has been how attentive Rich has been since the completion of the project. Soon after the seed was planted we experienced a heavy rain that washed some seed away and left a few dead spots in the grass, and when I emailed Rich about this he was at our house within a few hours reseeding the areas that needed it. We have since hired Rich for fall clean up and will plan to use him for regular services going forward. I would recommend Hawkeye Landscaping without hesitation.

I have been using Smart Landscaping for years and was previously happy with the service. This year…read morehas been the worst year working with them and I will no longer work with them. Here are some of the reasons: - They never notify us when they are coming so if we do not take our lights down in our bushes, they end up destroyed as they say in their contract they are not responsible. We have had to replace several lights and also ripped furniture covers. I watch the crew just rush through the work without any regards to quality or our things and do not care if they destroy them. - They supposedly removed weeds, however we ended up with poisonous India Poke weed in our flower beds. - Our lawn had several yellow spots and despite reaching out to them about it I never heard back. - We do not do lawn mowing with them and they mowed our lawn with the Fall clean up and charged us for this without asking. It was not outlined in the contract that they would do a lawn mowing with fall clean up. Its unfortunate that this service has gone down hill. I liked working with them for years and had been happy with them in the past and hopefully this review will help them adjust their practices.
